Games with very good graphics. Games for powerful PCs. Video game Call of Duty: WW II

Some 15 years ago, realism in games did not even have to be thought of. Everything looked sketchy, angular and primitive. But technology does not stand still - over time, the picture has become more detailed, shaders, HDR and other effects that greatly raise the quality bar have appeared. More time was devoted to drawing the surrounding world, the physics of the objects located in it, the notorious cinematography appeared.

Below we will consider several especially technically advanced projects that managed to impress gamers with their graphical component.

11 games for PC and consoles with the most realistic graphics

  • Genre: Action
  • Developer: Rockstar Studios
  • Release date: 26, 2018
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX One

A year later, RockStar will finally please PC gamers with the release of the 2nd part red dead Redemption on PC. The new gameplay video impresses with the beauty of the landscapes and nature of the Wild West.

This is the latest development on the latest engine from RockStar! Some players, for sure, say: Of course! The last one is a reskin of GTA 5, nothing more. But this is nonsense, the engine is developed iteratively, new features are added during the development of each game and Red Dead Redemption 2 is amazing!

Star Wars: Battlefront II

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
  • Release date: April 15, 2017
  • Developer: EA Dice, Criterion
The continuation of Battlefront turned out to be a controversial project in all respects - too casual and monotonous game process, long leveling, unlocking weapons and, as the last nail in the coffin of player expectations, aggressive imposition in the form of . The only thing you can praise the developers for is the excellent graphics.

The Frostbite engine made it possible to show an excellent picture, realistic effects and a lot of small details, such as leaves swaying in the wind, circles on the water, or dust raised by vehicles hovering near the ground. When it comes to space battles, the wow factor never goes away. Space stations, laser projectiles and explosions look no worse than in the original film.

L.A. noire

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch.XBOX One
  • Release date: May 17, 2011
  • Developer: Team Bondi, Rockstar

Detective in the open world L.A. Noire is not a graphically advanced game. It was released on the previous generation of consoles, squeezing the most out of it (and even on the PC the situation has not changed much). Therefore, the players had to put up with low detailing of the environment, a small number of NPCs and other consequences of the desire to “shove in what is not pushed in”.

The game is definitely worth recommending to all fans of realistic graphics for its system of facial expressions of characters. All dialogues were recorded by professional actors using Motion Capture in order to thoroughly convey the characters' personalities. And this is not just a visual decoration, but a working gameplay mechanic. By interrogating suspects and witnesses, lies, fear, and other emotions can be revealed.

Detroit: Become Human

  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Release date: May 25, 2018
  • Developer: Quantic Dream

Quantic Dream has managed to squeeze all the features out of the current generation of Sony consoles for the umpteenth time. First there was a good Fahrenheit for PS2, a kind of test of the pen, then came the unusually popular Heavy Rain and the dubiously received by the public Beyound. And now, having received the power of PS4, the developers have managed to make an interactive movie with perfectly animated characters. There are, of course, minor flaws, but they are skillfully masked by a blue image filter and a slight “blurring” of the background.

The in-house engine with Tiled Forward rendering is simply beyond praise, and of course, the animations are well-detailed, as always at the height of Quantic Dream

Crysis Series

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
  • Release date: 2007-2013
  • Developer: Crytec

Despite the fact that several years have passed since the release of the final part of the trilogy, it still manages to load the computers of gamers. And this is not some kind of Assassins Creed: Origins, which, with an empty world and truncated graphics, shamelessly slows down and lags. In Crysis, you can immediately see what the resources of the processor and video card are spent on. Realistic shadows and lighting, destructibility of small objects, detailed high-poly textures. The vegetation was especially good for the developers - blades of grass sway in the wind and bend to the sides when the character walks along them.

However, not only the third part deserves attention. Even the original released back in 2007 looks more decent than many modern projects. Walking through the jungle dotted with vegetation, enjoying high-quality weather effects, is interesting even now (especially if you install the HD mod).

Once the kings of photorealism, Crytek created a truly cool graphics engine, which works smartly and is still in use today.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One/One X
  • Release date: 2015
  • Developer: Crystal Dynamics

Lara Croft's latest adventure has raised the bar for video game quality by new level. Own engine developers Foundation Engine produces an excellent picture, adequately loading the system. Physically-accurate material rendering rendered surfaces realistic, while the combination of HDR and adaptive tone mapping produced superb lighting effects such as highlights, dark-to-bright transitions, and more.

Interaction with the environment was also successful. From the steps on the snow, realistic paths remain, and the bathing of the main character in the water is accompanied by circles diverging in different directions. We also worked on the character himself - all movements look smooth and cinematic. Of course, to experience all the benefits, you need to play on a PC or at least buy the PRO / X versions of the latest generation of consoles.

The Order 1886

  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Release date: February 20, 2015
  • Developer: Ready at Dawn

If you are a happy owner of a PS4 console, be sure to play The Order 1886. This dark steampunk action game does not offer any original mechanics, but it allows players to admire the beautiful graphics to their heart's content.

The efforts of the developers turned out to be a real interactive movie - you won’t immediately notice when a long interactive movie smoothly flows into the gameplay. The level of detail rivals early CGI graphics like the one shown in the Final Fantasy animation.

Doom (2016 version)

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch
  • Release date: May 13, 2016
  • Developer: id Software

The atmospheric shooter Doom has become a real treat for the eyes of gamers, while being perfectly optimized even for systems that are weak by today's standards. The setting of the game itself (the action takes place on a Martian base under attack by demons, and in hell itself) does not imply the presence of abundant vegetation, water and various effects that cause sagging frame rates. The power freed from the additional load was directed to more worthwhile things - high-quality high-resolution textures, effects from shots, explosions and realistic dismemberment.

Doom looks great even on medium settings, but it would be much better to crank the settings to ultra-nightmarish levels and increase the resolution to 4K. True, you will have to fork out for a modern video card with 6 GB of on-board memory and a monitor that supports 3840x2160.

Rainbow Six: Siege

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, PS4
  • Release date: December 1, 2015
  • Developer: Ubisoft Montreal

At the start of sales of a multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six: Siege, many gamers felt cheated and quite rightly threw accusations at Ubisoft. And all because the shown gameplay and graphics turned out to be severely curtailed when compared with the commercial released two years before the release. The developers had to cut some effects and remove destructibility in some places in order for their project to give out normal performance in multiplayer battles.

Nevertheless, if we discard the opinions of people with the “high expectations syndrome” and look at the picture objectively, one can see a well-done work - realistic light and shadows, well-detailed textures of characters and environments. Various small effects like smoke from shots, bullet marks on the walls, etc., also look great.

The siege hits 60 FPS with almost completely destructible environments! Graphic programmers got the most out of the In-house engine!

gta v

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360/One, PS3/4
  • Release date: September 17, 2013
  • Developer: Rockstar Games

At the time of release, back in 2013, the new part of GTA set another high standard for open world games. The need to create a huge seamless space did not prevent the developers from Rockstar from detailing the environment, making a realistic change in weather conditions and time of day, natural reflections in glass, water and other mirror surfaces. To unleash the potential of the game and unscrew the settings to the maximum, gamers had to put consoles on the shelf and buy powerful PCs equipped with video cards with at least 4 gigabytes of memory.

Now, of course, there is a new just cause, and the second Watch Dogs was able to show chic graphics (no). Against their background, GTA V is slightly outdated, but the situation is easily corrected by modders. Enthusiasts upload more detailed textures to the Internet, play with filters and lighting, and work on effects. This allows you to achieve impressive results - screenshots of a well-pumped version are difficult to distinguish from CGI and even real photos.

Project Cars

  • Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, XBOX One
  • Release date: May 6, 2015
  • Developer: Slightly Mad Studios

The developers of this excellent racing simulator They took an old engine from NFS Shift and worked hard on it, making it a graphically advanced product. The detailing of textures, both inside the car's interior and on the outside, is simply amazing. And the world around with its weather effects, dust from under the wheels, a realistic lighting system, will also please fans of sitting behind the wheel of a virtual car. For connoisseurs of graphics, a special photo mode has even been invented that allows you to take pictures of sports cars from different angles.

Conclusion

As sad as it is to admit, computer game developers have stopped chasing a realistic picture in their games. This is due to their focus on the console market, which is able to provide much more profit than sales on the PC. And since the hardware of these systems is not particularly powerful and is not able to squeeze out a stable 60 frames in new products (the same upcoming Spider-Man from Sony will work at a modest 30 FPS in FullHD), no one will additionally hang the game with graphic bells and whistles. It remains only to wait for the next generation of consoles and hope that at least it will achieve a technological breakthrough.

Months of persuasion and daily savings on school lunches throughout the year finally paid off - your parents bought you a monstrous computer system that can click "Crisis" like nuts. Naturally, you immediately turned the graphics settings in Minecraft to the maximum and fell out of your chair in surprise. The changes turned out to be so imperceptible compared to the minimum settings ...

But how to be, not to show your friends from the next entrance the square muzzles of the main characters and the sprite jungle with greetings from the nineties? I want to show them a picture so realistic that they choke on their own saliva. And here we are on a white horse with a list of the most beautiful games for PC. Install them on your "animal" and enjoy the envy in the eyes of school friends.

Now you can expand the list, but for now we have galloped to rank the most sincere game projects for those who are ready to put up with even pixel graphics, as long as the game has that same atmosphere.

11. Crisis

  • Developer Studio: Crytek
  • Engine: CryEngine 2
  • Release date: November 2007

A real legend among schoolchildren in the mid-2000s (the current generation of students is already praying for Crysis 3) and the main counterargument of the PC-boyars in a dispute with consolers. The fact is that this project is a PC-exclusive (we are talking about the original project, since a game with a different engine was released on consoles) and even after 9 years it looks like a cucumber. Clear textures, divine sunbeams, incredible detail - all this creates a beautiful picture, which, however, is a bit outdated over the years, which is why Crysis did not hit the top of our rating.

If you were born after the release of this game, but consider yourself a true follower of Vanomas, then the passage of Crysis should be at the top of your list of priorities for the coming weekend. Although many scold her for boring gameplay, ill-conceived balance and a banal plot, it doesn’t matter, because where else can you pick up a highly detailed turtle and throw it into the azure waters of the ocean?

10. Battlefield 4

  • Developer Studio: DICE
  • Engine: Frostbite 3
  • Release date: October 2013

For a long time, the Battlefield series has been revered by millions of schoolchildren around the world for its graphic excellence and the fourth numbered part is no exception to the rule. This tradition will certainly be continued by Battlefield 1. And so, what can this multiplayer shooter offer us? Large-scale battles involving several dozen soldiers and vehicles, an advanced destruction system, high-quality textures and a huge number of bugs. At the time of the game's release, it was almost impossible to play, and the frame rate rarely exceeded 30fps even on the most powerful gaming systems. True, today most of these errors have been eliminated.

The system requirements of Battlefield 4 still look pretty intimidating, and there's a good reason for that. The fact is that it has such an option as a resolution scale, which allows you to increase the clarity of all the textures in the game. Naturally, it "eats" a huge amount of resources, but at the same time it allows the project to demonstrate an excellent picture.

9. Far Cry: Primal

  • Developer Studio: Ubisoft Montreal
  • Engine: Dunia Engine 2
  • Release date: March 2016

At least in the new part Far Cry we have to play as a caveman, however, to run it at maximum settings, modern hardware is required. The game boasts good lighting, detailed environments and clear textures. In addition, Far Cry: Primal on PC uses the latest Nvidia technologies, which can plunge even “top” video cards into a swamp with low fps.

Otherwise, this project is a classic conveyor product with a minimum of innovations and a maximum of borrowings. Even the original setting can't take away the boredom of picking flowers and killing cute saber-toothed cats with believable fur (thanks again Nvidia). But you can see in detail the evil faces of Neanderthals. Why not exotic?

8. Just Cause 3

  • Developer Studio: Avalanche Studios
  • Engine: Avalanche Engine
  • Release date: November 2015

Beware dictators! Rico Rodriguez is on the hunt again. This time he decided to go to his homeland - the fictional island of the Medici - to deal with another tyrant who dreams of world domination. Just Cause 3 is worth buying for those players who love huge spaces and tropical landscapes. The area of the game world here is almost 1000 square kilometers, and the lighting and visual effects are so good that, at times, there is a feeling as if the hero is in a real paradise. At least, it seems so, until the realization comes that every inhabitant of the island wants to send the protagonist to the next world.

Another plus of the game is a very advanced physics that allows you to destroy large objects and launch opponents into the air, tying them to gas cylinders. True, it’s a little tight with realism here - you understand it when main character, as if nothing had happened, jumps from one jet plane to another right in the air, and then attaches it to a helicopter and arranges a fun air carousel.

7 Assassin's Creed Syndicate

  • Developer Studio: Ubisoft Quebec
  • Engine: AnvilNext
  • Release date: November 2015

In the middle of the 19th century in Great Britain, things were not very good for workers - they had to work hard at the factory for 12 hours to earn money for food. Now, those who want to buy a computer that can pull Assassin's Creed: Syndicate at maximum settings have to work for so many hours. It tells very interesting story about the Fry twins, who are trying to put together a gang of ordinary London hard workers in order to throw off the elite, who are part-time Templars, from their homes.

In addition to a good story, there is a classic gameplay of the series and a good visual component that plunges players into the atmosphere of Victorian London. High-resolution textures, excellent play of light and shadow, excellent animation of movements - allow you to believe in what is happening on the screen and truly empathize with the main characters. In addition, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate on PC got rid of all the software “sores” that plagued the previous part.

6. Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • Developer Studio: Crystal Dynamics
  • Engine: Foundation
  • Release date: January 2016

What do Lara Croft fans expect from the developers of the next Tomb Raider games? Fascinating gameplay? Original locations to explore? Abstruse puzzles and difficult riddles? Of course not - everyone is waiting for a better model of the main character and Crystal Dynamics did not let the fans down. The 2016 PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider features the most detailed model of Lara ever in the series. Just look at these rounded forms of magnificent natural landscapes. Where else can you see such beauty?

The only pity is that PC users had to wait several months before the game appeared on computers. Let's hope that the next part will be released immediately on all platforms and will please the players with even better "landscapes".

5. Metro: Last Light Redux

  • Developer Studio: 4A Games
  • Engine: 4A
  • Release date: August 2014

The first Crysis was considered the most graphically advanced and demanding hardware game for several years until the release of Metro 2033, which impressed many with its perfectly simulated subway and beautiful lighting. Metro: Last Light Redux is the latest installment in this series and continues its tradition by pushing the players' systems to the maximum and showing them unusually realistic locations. All thanks to the use of geometric tessellation, volumetric fog, advanced PhysX, crisp textures and complex smoke effects.

However, in open locations this game still loses to the other heavyweights of the rating, and therefore is only in 5th place.

4. Crysis 3

  • Developer Studio: Crytek
  • Engine: CryEngine 3
  • Release date: February 2013

If the original Crysis blew everyone's minds with its mind-blowing graphics at the time, then the second part looked like a poorly made console port. Adherents of the PC cult accused the developers of all mortal sins and promised them a separate cauldron in Hell. Crytek was frightened by the enraged occultists and rolled out another game that, at the time of its launch, melted any video card. Even now to run crysis games 3 on ultra settings requires an expensive graphics accelerator.

What can surprise the third part of the PK-boyars who have seen the sights? Firstly, a huge number of heavy visual effects and believable physics. Secondly, using tessellation. Thirdly, the use of high resolution textures. All this still gives a wonderful picture, which is why Crysis 3 has taken such a high position on our list.

3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • Developer Studio: CD Projekt RED
  • Engine: REDengine 3
  • Release date: May 2015

Who would have thought that the Poles are masters not only in pickling cucumbers, but also in creating large-budget role-playing projects. A prime example of this is the series The Witcher. The second part could well have got into our rating, if the third did not exist, since even it shows an excellent picture, although it came out about 5 years ago. As for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, maybe it is inferior to the realism of the graphics Star Wars: Battlefront or Crysis 3, but far ahead of them in terms of atmosphere.

There is an incredible feeling when you stand in a clearing in the middle of flowering apple trees and see in the distance the white caps of mighty mountains, which are not ordinary scenery, but are real objects that you can walk on your own two feet. Plus, do not forget about mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which can significantly improve the lighting and texture quality in the game.

2. Star Wars: Battlefront

  • Developer Studio: EA DICE
  • Engine: Frostbite 3
  • Release date: November 2015

Photorealistic visuals, spectacular gunfights, as well as familiar scenery and characters - what else do Star Wars fans need to be happy? Oh yes, the presence of a single player campaign, the absence of paid DLC, the total cost of which exceeds the price of the game itself, the presence more planets, vehicles, characters, maps and others game elements... However, we digress from the topic, because in terms of graphics, Star Wars: Battlefront on PC is incomparable, which is why it is one of the three most beautiful games.

The forests of Endor amaze with their dense vegetation and tall trees, the rocky surfaces of Tatooine look like they came from the pictures of a professional photographer, and the wastelands of Sullost, covered with lava veins, are begging to be put on the desktop as wallpaper. But most importantly, you do not need to have a super-powerful "car" to enjoy all these beauties, because the developers have managed to perfectly optimize their game. However, the owners of the "Titans" should not be upset about this, because they can always unscrew the resolution scale up to 200 percent and see even the smallest grains of sand on the ground.

1. ?

There is no first place. Why is that? It's simple - most TOPs are a subjective assessment of one person who is trying to present his point of view as objectively as possible. However, the first place should be a kind of ideal, and, as you know, even the sun has spots. Therefore, each player's rating will always be headed by his own game. In some cases, it may coincide with the author's choice, but in others it may not. For example, I personally would place Gothic 3 on top, which at one time impressed me more graphically than Crysis. It was quite difficult to get used to the fact that only a year ago we saw characters with spade hands in games (hello GTA: San Andreas), and after a few months they were walking through the beautiful forests of Myrtana. And what game would you put in the first place?

Metro Exodus

Release date: 2019

Genre: Shooter

Metacritic score: 83/100

Continuation of the adventures of the guy Artem, who is trying to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. The action takes place again on the territory of Russia, and the player now has to travel to different regions of the country by train. You will explore vast locations and fight monsters and bandits.

The gameplay has changed compared to the previous parts. In the arsenal, the player will have a lot of new weapons that can be improved on the go with the help of various modules. The weather, like the times of day, change as you progress. "Hardcore" has not gone away - you will still lack ammunition, and skirmishes with ordinary opponents can be fatal.

Players note the extremely elaborate entourage of post-apocalyptic Russia, in which everyone will see something familiar. Also, the plot, picture, atmosphere are distinguished from the advantages. Even if you haven't played the previous parts, Metro Exodus is not to be missed.

  • System: Windows 10 (x64);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770k or equivalent;
  • Video Card: AMD RX VEGA 56 or GeForce GTX 1070/RTX 2060;
  • RAM: 8 GB;
  • Free space: 59 GB.
  • DirectX: Version 12;

Final Fantasy XV (Windows Edition)

Release date: 2018

Genre: RPG, open world

Metacritic score: 85/100

Final Fantasy 15 is already the fifteenth part of the popular series (but not in Russia), which differs significantly from its predecessors. It is more like an RPG gamers are used to with a real-time combat system. The gamer will take the role of a hero who travels with friends and fights against monsters.

The game has many advantages, but I want to focus on the incredibly dynamic combat system. Battles are spectacular due to the mobility of the heroes and their abilities. You can fight using melee weapons or magic. Heroes work in a team and often make joint attacks, which add epic to what is happening.

The game was released on computers as a Windows Edition with a lot of additional content (new episodes, an alternative passage of chapter 13, a first-person mode, and so on). Don't look at the number "15" in the title - if you love beautiful RPGs, then welcome to the world of Final Fantasy!

  • Video Card: Radeon RX 480 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB VRAM)
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Free space: 100 GB;
  • DirectX: Version 11.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Release date: 2018

Genre: Action, Adventure, RPG, Open World

Metacritic score: 76/100

One of the most ambitious games for powerful PCs, it is a large-scale and realistic RPG. The player assumes the role of the blacksmith's son Henry, whose village has been burned down. Being the only survivor, the hero sets off on a journey to take revenge on the killers of his family and find himself. And who Henry will be in the end is up to the player to decide.

There is maximum freedom of action - you can travel through a large open world with castles, dense forests, endless fields. There are quests in the game, but you don't have to complete them. And if you took up the task, then you can show your imagination and go through it in any way.

The game world is harsh. You will constantly face difficulties - the opponents are strong, and the hero can die from one blow. The combat system is also not easy.

At the start, the game received mixed reviews, but after a while it was able to win the hearts of the public. Among the advantages are graphics, the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, realism, exciting battles.

  • System: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (x64);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4 GHz or equivalent;
  • Video Card: Radeon RX 580 (8GB VRAM) or GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM)
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Free space: 40 GB;
  • DirectX: Version 11.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

Release date: 2017

Genre: Shooter

Metacritic score: 65/100

The scandalous shooter received low ratings at the start due to loot boxes, but over time, the players formed a more “mundane” opinion. Boxes aside, Star Wars: Battlefront II is a good in-universe shooter." star Wars". The emphasis in the gameplay is on multiplayer battles.

There are several modes: Dominance, Skirmish, Arcade, Heroes vs. Villains, Galactic Battle, and so on. The player is invited to fight using various laser weapons and equipment (ground, flying), but he can also take control of one of the heroes with lightsabers and change the course of the battle.

Among the advantages they note: a beautiful picture, interesting battles, the opportunity to play for your favorite heroes of the saga.

  • System: Windows 10;
  • Processor: AMD FX 8350 Wraith or Intel Core i7 6700;
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 480 (4GB VRAM) or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB VRAM)
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Free space: 60 GB.

Devil May Cry 5

Release date: 2019

Genre: Action

Metacritic score: 90/100

The fifth installment in the popular franchise, ignoring the relaunch of DmC: Devil May Cry. Players will learn the continuation of the story of the demon hunters Nero and Dante, who once again go to the city where evil spirits appeared. Their company is joined by the third mysterious hunter V, who has the ability to summon demonic creatures.

This is a killer action game in the style of old games, but with excellent cinematic graphics and a ton of new game mechanics. You can go through the game for three heroes, thus learning the story from different points of view. The heroes have a lot of artifacts and tricks, and among the monsters you will see both weak henchmen and giant bosses.

Players praise the game mainly for the mind-blowing gameplay, seasoned with dynamic music tracks. Recommended for action lovers.

  • System: Windows 7/8.1/10 (x64);
  • Processor: AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7-3770 or equivalent
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 480 (8GB VRAM), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM) or better
  • RAM: 8 GB;
  • Free space: 35 GB;

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Release date: 2017

Genre: Action, Adventure, RPG, Open World

Metacritic score: 75/100

Continuation great game also received mostly positive reviews. Players will once again travel to Middle-earth and learn the continuation of the story of Talion, who raised an uprising in Mordor.

In the sequel, the scale of what is happening has noticeably increased - now you will be allowed to control an entire army and capture enemy castles. The Nemesis system has been improved - now the orcs under your control can betray you at any time (for example, during a battle) if they don't like something. Enemies also adapt to the player's fighting style, and the next time they are encountered, they no longer seem so easy.

There is also an advanced customization system, the ability to ride a dragon, a beautiful picture and a great atmosphere of Middle-earth. Even if you are not familiar with the Lord of the Rings universe, you will still remember the game as a great RPG.

  • System: Windows 10 (x64);
  • Processor: AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i7-3770;
  • Video Card: AMD RX 480 or RX580 (4GB VRAM) or NVIDIA GTX 970 (4GB VRAM) / GTX1060 (6GB VRAM)
  • RAM: 12 GB;
  • Free space: 70 GB;
  • DirectX: Version 11.

Hitman 2

Release date: 2018

Genre: Action

Metacritic score: 82/100

Another chapter in the story of the elusive killer, who again sets off on a journey around the world to eliminate his goals. Players will visit Miami, Mumbai, Santa Fortuna and other places.

The goal of the gameplay remains the same - to eliminate the target by any means. Realism has been added to Hitman 2 - for example, if you accidentally fall into the field of view of the camera once, then in the future this may cause problems. Realism is impressive, but it also makes the process of passing more difficult.

Both fans of the series and ordinary video game lovers say that Hitman 2 turned out to be good level. They celebrate exciting missions, a beautiful picture, an interesting look at the stealth action genre.

  • System: Windows 10 (x64);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 4790;
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB VRAM)
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Free space: 60 GB;
  • DirectX: Version 11.

Nier: Automata

Release date: 2017

Genre: Action, RPG, Open World

Metacritic score: 84/100

Extraordinary action in the open world. According to the plot, the Earth was invaded by aliens who began to destroy all life with the help of mechanical monsters. Thus ended the history of human civilization, but among the few survivors there are those who are still able to wage war against the invaders. One of these is a pretty female warrior 2B with two swords.

The game features open world, and you can go anywhere, but with a 99% chance you won't come back alive. The game is hard as Dark Souls. In battle, you need to constantly dodge and perform combos. Pumping is present, but it does not particularly affect the gameplay - to win, you need to deftly control the heroine and predict the behavior of the enemy.

Nier: Automata is dark but very cool game with an excellent combat system, high-quality design and an atmospheric world. If you are a fan of slashers - we recommend passing. However, you will need a powerful PC to run it.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom

Release date: 2018

Genre: Adventure, RPG, Action

Metacritic score: 81/100

A fabulous action role-playing game. The player learns the story of the young king Evan, who was expelled from his own kingdom. In an effort to take revenge on the traitors, he sets out on a journey to join forces against the impending threat.

The gameplay is divided into several stages. You can independently build buildings in your kingdom and move residents there. They will work for you and bring benefits (for example, to extract resources at a sawmill). In your free time from construction, you are offered to plunge headlong into adventure and fight monsters. Faithful allies with various abilities will help you.

There are a lot of little things in the game, and genres change quite often. However, the experimental mechanics have been a hit with the players, and they note that this is a fairly kind and bright game with varied gameplay.

Far Cry 5

Release date: 2018

Genre: Adventure, Action, Open World

Metacritic score: 78/100

Far Cry 5 is the sequel to the crazy open world action game series. This time around, players travel to Hope County, which is run by religious zealots led by the madman Joseph Seed. Alone or with a friend in cooperative mode, you will confront the bandits and capture territories.

Based on the usual gameplay. The player can freely move around the open world, capture towers and kill bandits. There are more weapons, many improved game mechanics, and in this part, activities such as clearing the area do not seem boring. In addition, flying vehicles have appeared, and at any time you can put aside your weapons and do peaceful things.

The game itself received good reviews, but its additions were met with negative reviews. But overall, this is a great continuation of the series, which lives up to its AAA-level.

  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X (4GB VRAM)

    SoulCalibur VI

    Release date: 2018

    Genre: Action, Fighting

    Metacritic score: 80/100

    SoulCalibur 6 is a fast-paced action game that is a reboot of the series. According to the plot, you move to the 16th century, during the first part. The beloved heroes were joined by new ones - Inquisitor Grow, who wields two twin swords, and the villain Azvel, who owns combat magic. Also, “guests” such as 2B (from Nier: Automata), the witcher Geralt looked into the game.

    They offer to try out the new combat mechanics. Combo damage has been increased, the Reversal Edge mechanic has appeared, which is essentially a “counterattack” with the effect of slowing down time. There are over 20 different characters to choose from, and you can also create your own using a detailed editor (you can create at least a semblance of your personality, at least a hero from any franchise).

    What the players liked: beautiful graphics, interesting gameplay, good character editor and killer action.

    • Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or equivalent;
    • Video Card: GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent

    Anthem

    Release date: 2019

    Genre: Action, RPG

    Metacritic score: 59/100

    Anthem is a co-op action game from BioWare. You take on the role of "Freelancer" - a fighter capable of fighting monsters with the help of exoskeletons. An apocalypse has occurred on the planet, and as a result, the remnants of humanity have taken refuge behind wide walls, while monsters and bandits rage outside.

    The gameplay of the game is divided into two phases. At the base, you can get a task and chat with the characters, and outside the safe place you have to fight various monsters. There are 4 types of exoskeleton, each with its own abilities (for example, one has increased protection, and the other is able to attack enemies with various spells).

    Overall, Anthem is a good action game, but it's better to play it with friends.

    • System: Windows 10 (x64);
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5GHz;
    • Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 1060/RTX 2060, AMD RX 480;
    • RAM: 16 GB;
    • Free space: at least 50 GB;
    • DirectX: Version 11.

    Toys are a noble cause. They relieve stress, distract from reality, give a lot of impressions. Here is our top - what we have personally tested and recommend: you will not regret your time, effort, or dead joysticks.

    Ordinary people tell stories about how they go to work, sit with friends in a cafe and sleep during breaks. To live brighter and have more cool stories in your arsenal about how you rescued princesses from the clutches of dragons, saved the world from the Forces of Evil and stole cars of civilians at your leisure, do the right thing - play games.

    An important point: this is not a top recognized best games, these are toys recent years, in which we, the employees of 2x2, buried more than one night and which we would recommend to anyone and everyone. Believe us, we will not advise bad.

    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

    Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX ONE

    Geralt, a specialist in the destruction of monsters, travels through the fantasy world in search of the girl Ciri, who can stop the coming of the Wild Hunt (just accept it as a fact that this is bad and scary). He walks through the fields and forests, kills griffons, sleeps with beauties and jokes during breaks. And the reaper, and the player on the pipe.

    Any part of The Witcher is indecently good, and with each next toy in the series, everything just gets better. This is even unfair to competitors, who a priori should be very ashamed of what they are compared to The Witcher. " wild Hunt" - this is super-detailed quests, many of which hide an unrealistic cool story. All completed quests and decisions affect the final game, which is cool and motivating. The combat system here has received a lot of advantages since the second part, Signs have acquired in utility, the world is detailed and open as much as possible.

    Even those who just love cool novels will like it. And adored, how much epic coubs spawned by localization!

    Journey

    Platforms: PS3, PS4

    You are a mysterious someone, your goal is to get to a very distant mountain. The synopsis of the plot is described more than completely by this, but you can’t even imagine how magical and unusual gaming experience hiding behind it. This is very meditative and beautiful game - music, graphics, landscapes - in which you will need to go through very picturesque locations.

    Everything here is really unusual and unusual. No map, no hints, no multiplayer per se, but! During the journey, you can meet with another player and move with him to the same mountain. You do not know anything about your companion - except that he is a living person. You have no means of communication other than a semblance of screaming, and only at the end, after completing the Journey, do you see your companion's name in the credits. Sooooo unusual and cool gaming experience.

    Grand Theft Auto V

    It makes no sense to advertise GTA. Every Pokémon has known about the charms of this world since the days of Vice City. But the fifth part (aka the 15th game in the series) is something. Oh god, Rockstar blew 266! million! dollars! in game development! There are 3 main characters here at once with well-developed characters, whose stories are intertwined. The final goal is to rob the US Federal Vault, taking out more than 200 million dollars in bags and pockets. Oh my!

    GTA V has maximum freedom: an open dynamic world, the ability to switch between heroes at any time, and as many as 3 main endings storyline. Stealing, going to strip clubs, stealing cars, loving, watching TV, doing yoga, playing Tamagotchi, taking selfies, smuggling! Everything is possible here.

    And breaking news for those who slept in a hole in recent years: GTA V finally has multiplayer. Now all the same can be done online with your gang, and it is not necessary to have friends. But be prepared for Game of Thrones-style death - very, very sudden.

    Deponia The Complete Journey

    Platforms: PC

    Deponia is steep humorous quest pumping logic and erudition. An ideal option for those who can't stand shooting games and consider ordinary quests to be primitive and boring. The plot of the quest is that Rufus, tired of life on a small planet littered with garbage, one by one makes the most ridiculous escape plans.

    Aikyu of the level of Friends is not required for passing, do not be alarmed, but the puzzles and story are really cool and the solutions are not always obvious. Deponia The Complete Journey is one of the best representatives in its genre. The only thing is to be prepared for the fact that localization killed a good half of the jokes, so if English allows, pass in the original.

    Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 360, PS4, XBOX ONE

    Fairy-tale cooperative puzzle-adventure with not the most intricate plot, but very powerful moral background. There are two brothers whose mother died a long time ago, and then all of a sudden the father got very sick. Only the juice of a huge tree that grows behind mountains, forests, fields, and generally very far away can save him. A strong and dramatic story that the creators managed to tell without the use of words (at least human-readable ones) at all.

    There is no cooperative as such. you will play as both brothers at the same time(prepare joysticks, without them it will be hard). At first, the brain will refuse to understand how this is even possible, but over time it will get involved and even begin to enjoy such a process. Gameplay is original and intuitive: only two buttons to interact with the outside world, and two sticks to control the brothers.

    There is nothing here besides the main storyline, and it goes through quite quickly - in 4 hours. All scenes and tasks are very original and atmospheric, there are no repetitive mechanics, but there are magnificent colorful landscapes. The story itself is sometimes cruel, bloody, but, most importantly, very magical and emotionally powerful.

    Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX ONE

    Team online shooter from Blizzard with fantasy art. In the future, the machines still rebelled, as promised by the Terminator. But the Overwatch organization was able to overcome the rebellious robots. Everything calmed down, the guys from the organization were no longer needed by mankind, because of which they were forced to go home. But after a few years, crime gained momentum, and Overwatch members had to re-team and take up arms in order to save civilians.

    Multiplayer Ideal raised to absolute. By experience Team Fortress 2, which is played even after almost 10 years since its release, is basically obvious: team shooters live out of time, like Tsoi, as soon as they conquer their audience. Blizzard did not impose its game - the noise around it has risen and has not subsided since the first days of the beta release. And after the release of the server, which were designed for something inhuman, fell. The flow of those wishing to play turned out to be more than this very "inhuman".

    Overwatch is very different characters , each with its own history and skills, a bunch of arenas and modes(3 cards each). Persians do not need pumping or customization, everything is decided only by your personal skills- nothing extra. Gameplay is intuitive and clear, and due to the drawing, even your girlfriend will like it: it will stick to the monitor while you are creating destroy.

    Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX ONE

    The nuclear boom gave rise to the post-apocalypse. Only those who managed to get to the bunker survived. Everything is either half-destroyed or half-mutated. After 200 years, the hero gets out of the bunker and goes for a walk around the ruined world in search of his son, Sean the lamb.

    Generally recognized as one of the most anticipated projects of 2015 more successful than not. Locations are worked out, enemies are very terrifying, quests are interesting(although, in fairness, there is also wild boredom like “bring me that thing that lies quietly across the road”), the overall story is gaining momentum, and in the end it turns out that the hero is involved in some kind of wildest story. For fans of the original dilogy, it will cause pain and burning below the back, for everyone else it is very playable.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE

    Hipster Adventure Movie Quest, very cool interactive everyday life in which you live the life of a student girl Max. At a critical moment, a gentle creature discovers the ability to rewind time and correct mistakes. At first, the skill is used mainly for everyday student trifles, but in the course of the action it turns out that the city of Max is threatened by the apocalypse, and it would be good to prevent it.

    The game was released as a series, by episodes, and if the first parts are similar to a girl series with a teenage drama, then somewhere in the middle the suffering fades into the background, and the main one becomes The ultimate Twin Peaks Girl Disappearance Mystery. Every decision and action has its fruits and sooner or later it will definitely come around. Included - cool soundtrack, well-developed detective story, realism with a pleasant dose of mysticism. Disappointing, however, is the fact that the final choice is the same for everyone and does not depend on your previous decisions.

    Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

    Platforms: PS4

    The protagonist Nathan and his wife bought a house, chose the curtains to match the color of the sofas and live a happy quiet life until Nathan's older brother, who had been considered dead for many years, is announced. Oh yes: in the previous parts of the game, Nathan was a treasure hunter. Little has changed here: suddenly, a living brother says that a treasure is waiting in Madagascar, and the guys go in search of the mythical Libertalia.

    Impossible beautiful exclusive for Sonya, which made a lot of die-hard PC players get a console. "Way of the Thief" is well-developed third-person action game with puzzles, gunfights(weapons have increased in the arsenal, and gunfights are approaching the title of ideal), action scenes at the level of Hollywood action movies and the ability to choose answers in dialogues. But be prepared for a very poor Russian localization.

    Need for Speed (2015)

    Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE

    There is no point in talking about the legendary Need races for Speed- they earned their name back in the distant 2000s. This is not just a game, this is a real era. The 2015 reboot has everything that the mutated series has managed to lose in recent installments: advanced car tuning, a brave new open world, and police racing.

    At first it seems that the restart of the series is not the idea of the creators, but of PR people who wanted to more gold from an obsolete product. But in fact, it turns out that the game of the 15th year incorporated all the best from the previous parts, and the output is the very essence of the Need for Speed. A must for anyone who has ever felt an adrenaline rush at the keyboard, joystick or a real steering wheel.

    The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX ONE

    Welcome to the interactive Game of Thrones. You are a Dragonborn who very conveniently comes to the province of Skyrim just when he is needed the most. The world is threatened with death by dragons, and you need to overcome a lot of difficulties in order to stop the fire-breathers and their master Alduin.

    The world here is also infinitely open, the player can do whatever they want. Graphics are wildly beautiful and cause multiple aesthetic orgasms. A plus full freedom creativity: you can start a family, you can become a thief, a murderer, a noble knight - yes, even a princess. There is spectacular fights, the ability to upgrade certain attacks and skills. The plot is good because certain RPG engines generate their own stories which is original and captivating.

    The most honest Skyrim trailer ever.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 360

    Here everything is as gloomy as in horror stories about "a black-black street in a black-black city." People were mowed down by a disease that turns everyone into undead, and the main character goes on a long trip to restore white balance and stop the impending Age of Darkness. And so you go around the world, completing quests and fighting enemy creatures.

    It won't be fun or just - only difficulty level 180 and fear, only hardcore. Remember "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on Dandy, in which, dying, you found yourself at the very beginning? It's about the same, but lighter. Each creature taller than half a meter kills you in two spit, and each death throws back strongly, taking away the accumulated experience. But at least not at the beginning.
    educates character and works magic with the nervous system, but against the backdrop of a clear trend towards simplifying games, it is delightful and especially valuable. A must for those who really like to overcome difficulties.

    Tomb Raider (2013)

    Platforms: PC, MAC, PS3, XBOX 360

    Tomb Raider 2013 is a prequel to the very first game in the series. Here Lara famously turns from an archaeological university graduate into a furious sex symbol for all gamers. In the story, Lara and her expedition are looking for a lost civilization, but a terrible storm destroys the ship, and then throws all the survivors on the shore of a seemingly uninhabited island.

    When Crystal Dynamics announced that it plans to - modernize the most famous gaming woman, the world held its breath: of course, restarts are a terrible thing. But in the end it turned out very well: a perfectly executed third-person combat system, enjoyable gameplay and a realistic system for acquiring survival skills. Truth, brain-puzzling puzzles have gone into oblivion for which old Lara was so famous. But this is offset by a large number of advantages - take at least good competitive multiplayer system and Lara's chest, which retained its elasticity.

    Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX ONE, ANDROID, IOS

    Killed joysticks Dendy and childhood will never be released, but time goes by. In recent years, "Mortal" is gaining momentum and evolving, and in the "top ten" it is felt especially powerfully: the bones here crunch louder than ever. For example, Sonya and Johnny Cage had children who inherited their parents' love for blood and also tear out the insides of everyone they hit. For example, in the 10th part, you can destroy, ahem, the manhood of a father by the hands of his own daughter.

    New Predator type heroes, and also those who returned from vacation (for example, Tanya from part 4). All in all, perfect k-to-combo pairs for fighting. Yes, and the variety has increased: now each hero can choose priorities in battle. From controversial points - there was an opportunity ... buy Fatality. The archaic keystroke system still works, but now you can get away with it just by paying.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 360, NINTENDO WII U, PS4, XBOX ONE

    She is also "Look the Dog", "Watch the Dog" and how else this name was just not joked. A guy in a trendy cap is engaged in magical hacking - he hacks the phones of rich and respected people "by bluetooth". At one party, they fire him and start a chase, during which the hero's niece dies in an accident. And he decides to become an avenger.

    Basic the plot is not that wow, not particularly memorable or stands out in some way. But there are funny dialogues and jokes, which smoothes the situation. All around full of beauty and detail, although there are problems with physics and textures. There will be many plot Easter eggs, hide-and-seek, action, shooting, racing and good assignments outside of the main storyline.

    True, we did not understand How do dogs have to do with all this?.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 360

    First-person adventure-shooter-RPG mix in which you play as a guy whose vacation doesn't go according to plan. Jason Brody (that's you, meet you) comes with friends to an exotic island where they hang out, party, take selfies, skydive, until one day they are captured by sadistic pirates. Jason manages to escape, and he lights up with a desire to take revenge on a terrible revenge.

    Cool open world with frighteningly realistic graphics and a story that you won't want to break away from. Players will need to storm pirate territories, hunt all kinds of animals and evolve from a weakling to tough guy who saved his friends and matured for the time you spent with him. Special Mast for Lost Fans.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 360

    A shooter that captures the imagination and strikes it to the deepest wilds. Private detective Booker receives an order: to get to a flying city, whose location is not really known, and rescue a girl from there. Then it turns out that some kind of sheer horror is going on in the world and a destructive war is about to break out.

    Plot blanks are very classic- a princess in a tower, a hero with a dark past, the world is on the brink of disaster. But all this is summed up in such a way that the result is something completely new.. And although the world of the game is fictional, you still immerse yourself in it and believe: atmosphere and detail take their toll. Here, what's cool every little thing counts, but only. Spectacular fights, a truly intricate story told in a movie-like form of a shooter.

    Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX 360, IOS

    Something very terrible happened in the world: everything fell apart into small pieces, and the only surviving place is the Bastion. The blond guy, for whom you have to play, wakes up in an incomprehensible place and is going to go towards this very Bastion, where he learns that the fortress is destroyed, and in order to restore it (and the world) and destroy the universal Evil, you will have to make a lot of efforts than you and get busy.

    Very nice and detailed walker, in which it does not immediately become clear that WTF is happening here . You travel through different locations, fight local bosses and difficulties, then move back to the Bastion, where you choose which weapons you will take and which potions you will use before the trip. Toward the middle you're already basting strategically choose equipment correctly, which adds a decent amount of pluses to the game.

    Platforms: PC, PS3, XBOX 460, PS4

    Fantasy walker, which at first glance is very similar to Bastion (the same developer, after all), but in fact it is something completely different. You will have to play for the red-haired singer Red, whose life was recently made an attempt and who is determined to avenge fiercely for it. On her side is a huge talking sword Transistor, in which the consciousness of an unknown person who saved Red's life is placed.

    Outwardly, everything is about the same as in Bastion: a third-person action RPG in which you have to travel through the most beautiful fantasy world, fight and do all sorts of small things.
