Export from Vault Personal
Select Start Menu (Settings) > Control Panel > Internet Options ( "Browser Options"). Go to the "Contents" tab and click on the "Certificates" button.
Find the required certificate in the list and click on the "Export" button.
In the Certificate Export Wizard window, click the Next button. Then check the box "No, do not export the private key" and select "Next".
In the window « Export File Format" select "DER-encoded X.509 (.CER) files" and click the "Next" button.
Exporting a public key file with Crypto Pro
To do this, you need to do the following:
Select "Start" menu > "Control Panel" > "Crypto Pro CSP". Go to the "Service" tab and click on the "View certificates in container" button.
In the window that opens, click on the "Browse" button to select a container to view. After selecting the container, click on the "OK" button.
In the next window, click on the "Next" button . If after clicking the "Next" button the message "There is no public encryption key in the private key container" appears, then to obtain the public key file, contact the technical support service at [email protected]
In the "View Certificate" window, click the "Properties" button.
In the certificate file that opens, go to the "Composition" tab and click the "Copy to file" button.
In the Certificate Export Wizard window that opens, click the Next button. Then check the box "No, do not export the private key" and select "Next".
In the "Export file format" window, select "DER-encoded X.509 (.CER) files" and click the "Next" button.
In the next window, you need to click on the "Browse" button, specify a name and directory to save the file. Then click on the "Save" button.
If neither the first nor the second method was successful in exporting the certificate, then to obtain the public key file, contact the technical support service at [email protected], indicating the TIN and KPP of the organization, as well as the data of the certificate (validity period and full name of the owner).
If a flash drive or floppy disk is used for work, copying can be done using Windows tools (this method is suitable for CryptoPro CSP versions not lower than 3.0). The folder with the private key (and the certificate file, if any) must be placed in the root of the flash drive (floppy disk). It is recommended not to change the name of the folder when copying.
The folder with the private key must contain 6 files with the .key extension. Below is an example of the contents of such a folder.
Copying a container can also be done using the CryptoPro CSP. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Select Start / Control Panel / CryptoPro CSP.
2. Go to the Service tab and click the Copy button. (see fig. 1).

4. Select a container from the list, click on the button OK, then Further.

6. In the "Insert and select media to store the private key container" window, you must select the media on which the key will be placed. new container(see Fig. 4).

7. You will be prompted to set a password for the new container. Setting a password is optional, you can leave the field blank and click on the button OK(See Fig. 5).

If copying to media Rutoken, the message will sound different (see Fig. 6)

Please note that if you lose your password/pin code, you will no longer be able to use the container.
8. After copying, the system will return to the tab Service in the window CryptoPro CSP. Copying completed. If you plan to use a new key container for working in the Kontur-Extern system, you must install a personal certificate (see How to install a personal certificate?).
For bulk copy, download and run the Certfix utility.
To use the certificate on your own or another Windows computer, you need to import or export it, respectively.
Import certificate and private key
If someone sent you a certificate or you transferred it from one computer to another, the certificate and private key are required import before using them. Certificate import assumes its placement in the appropriate folder of certificates.
- open Certificate Manager.
- Select the folder where you want to import the certificate. On the menu Action select item All tasks and select the Import command.
- Click the Next button and follow the instructions.
Note: If the Certificate Import Wizard searches for a certificate using the Browse button, notice that the dialog box Open Default only X.509 certificates are displayed. If you want to import a different type of certificate, select the type in the dialog box Open.
Export certificate and private key
To create backup certificate or use it on another computer, the certificate must first export.
Certificate export involves converting the certificate into a file, which can then be transferred from one computer to another or placed in a safe place. It is recommended that you export certificates to removable media such as a disk or USB flash drive.
- open Certificate Manager.
- Right click on the certificate to be exported, select All tasks and select command Export.
- In the Certificate Export Wizard, click Next.
- If the certificate is used on another computer, click Yes, export the private key (if not, select No, do not export the private key) and click Next. (This option only appears if private key export is enabled and you have access to it.)
- Select the desired format and click the Next button.
Note: Selecting the correct format will depend on how the certificate will be used. For example, for a certificate with a private key, you should choose the private information exchange format. If you need to move several certificates from one computer to another in one file, you should choose the Cryptographic Message Syntax standard. If the certificate will be used on multiple operating systems, the X.509 DER encoded format should be selected.
- To export the private key, enter the password to encrypt the key, confirm, and click the button.
- A file will be created that stores the certificate. Enter a file name and location ( full path) or click the Browse button to navigate to the desired location and enter a file name.
- Click the Done button.
The increase in the number of Bitcoin forks has led many people to try to get their "free coins" in different ways, most in a simple way of these, as a rule, is storing coins in a local wallet, exporting private keys from a local Bitcoin wallet and importing them into a fork wallet. As a security measure, it is always recommended to first transfer all your bitcoins to a new address, and then export the old wallet that contained the coins at the time of the fork from the Bitcoin Blockchain network. This way you protect yourself from the theft of your BTC. Given the recent addition of official SegWit support, it might be a good time to upgrade your Bitcoin Core wallet, create a new SegWit-enabled address and transfer all your coins there, and then start getting free coins of new Bitcoin forks using the private key from the old address.
How to export private keys:
- Select "Debug window".
- dumpprivkey "your bitcoin address".
- Copy and save your private key.
- wallet lock.
How to import private keys:
- Launch your Bitcoin Core client or another QT wallet.
- Click on the "Help" menu item at the top of the window.
- Select "Debug window".
- Go to the tab "Console" To enter commands.
- Unlock your wallet (if it is encrypted) with the command: walletpassphrase "your wallet password" 600.
- Export private keys with the command: importkey "private key".
- Verify that a new Bitcoin address has been added to the wallet.
- Block your wallet with the command: wallet lock.
Be sure to import your private key as soon as you install one of the bitcoin fork wallets to receive free coins, otherwise you may need to re-sync the fork wallet. If you do not move all of your BTC cash to another address before exporting and importing your private key to the fork wallet to receive free coins, you may lose all your BTC.
Keep in mind that some SCAM forks are created specifically to try to steal BTC from inattentive or lazy holders who may want to get free coins, because many people love freebies, but are lazy enough to transfer their funds to another account. Even with popular forks, it is worth keeping an "ear in the eye" and never transferring the private keys of wallets that currently hold significant funds. After all, whoever knows the private key can manage the funds on the wallet.
