What is a natal chart or cosmogram?
Natal astropsychology is based on the belief that the psychological characteristics of a person and her life path directly depend on the state of affairs in the solar system at a certain point in time, namely at the time of her birth. A decoded natal chart contains two blocks of information:
- Description of a person's personality: psychological qualities, his talents and inclinations.
- Description of his life path, ie. events that will happen in his life.
According to natal astrology, a person cannot have a different character than was destined for him by the Universe at the moment when he was born, and events cannot happen to him that are not indicated by an individual horoscope compiled according to the natal chart.
Time of birth
Building a correct natal chart is impossible without personal information:
- date of birth (day, month, year);
- time of birth (hour, minutes);
- place of birth (latitude and longitude are used in calculations).
In practice, the greatest difficulty is the need to name the exact time of birth (permissible error from 2 to 5 minutes) - the most important indicator for calculating an individual horoscope. Each minute during the time is unique, therefore, the calculation of the natal chart based on the exact (up to a minute) time of birth most reliably reflects the individuality of a person.
If it is difficult to determine the time of birth by household means (according to documents, from parents, relatives, etc.), a rectification procedure is carried out. A serious specialist in astrology, even with an error of 5 minutes, will most likely resort to it.
To radically change the horoscope, a five-minute interval is enough. During this time, one planet can move from one zodiac sign to another, change the astrological house, which completely changes its interpretation. The essence of rectification is the calculation of the time of birth based on the analysis of events that have already occurred in a person’s life, his inclinations and aspirations. - If the approximate time of birth is known, for example, in the range from 14.00 to 15.00 hours, the average value (14.30) is indicated with an error of +/- 30-40 minutes. This allows you to include various inaccuracies in the time interval under study.
- If even the approximate time of birth is unknown, the time is indicated at 12.00 with an error of +/- 12 hours.
- Greenwich Mean Time is used for calculations. But if we are talking about specialized computer programs, then, as a rule, you can specify the local time, which is automatically converted to Greenwich Mean Time.
- It is very important to specify the place of birth as accurately as possible. If required locality not in the lists, you must select the available one, but no further than 50 km, otherwise the time parameters will be distorted.
