American branch in World of Tanks. Changes in the light tank branch: USA. The main advantage of most of the American technology is armor.

This mod has many names: deer meter, xvm mod, deer meter from jov or protanka but they all have one thing in common. This is a great modification for determining the effectiveness of your allies and enemies right in battle. This data is essential for every player in the world of tanks. There are situations when you can’t immediately decide who to shoot or which player to focus on. But looking at the xvm data makes the choice easier. You need to destroy the strongest opponent, and newcomers or weaker players will cause much less trouble. Thanks to this modification, you will be able to see the most necessary statistics of players: the number of fights, the percentage of wins, efficiency, and so on.
When a World of Tanks player presses the "To battle" button and a loading window with a list of commands appears, the first thought that appears to him will be: "Who did the VBR throw me as an ally ?!" After all, a tank simulator is a team game, and it is almost impossible to win alone. If only the stars would align. Than to indulge in reflection, or worse, sit and wonder, it is easier to establish reindeer gauge (mod XVM) for WOT 1.7.0.2 World of Tanks. What does he give? It turns out, a lot.
Firstly, changes are already beginning to appear in the hangar. Near the icon of armored vehicles, information about the percentage of victories of this tank or "peteshki" appears. The numbers are multi-colored to make it easier to navigate how “advanced” the gamer is.
Secondly, already during the loading of the game, the modification receives from the server information about all the players who will take part in an exciting (or not so) battle. Numbers appear next to the icon of each participant - efficiency or otherwise, efficiency rating. Moreover, these data are highlighted in certain colors. Looking at them, you can immediately determine that players with green data are very serious “tankers”. The "yellows" are inferior to them in skills, but not by much. The playing style of the "orange" warriors is kept at the level of three points of the school curriculum. How the Reds play should be clear without words. The comparison with crustaceans came precisely from the color of the shell of the cooked crayfish. In addition, the mod shows an approximate version of the outcome of the battle, although you should not unconditionally believe this. Very often, a team of "pincers" wins a crushing victory, despite their inept actions. VBR, however!
And here the fun begins. How to use the received information? It will not be difficult to understand that it is necessary to support more experienced players. By helping them, you can prevail and emerge victorious.
Using the received data against the opposing team is also not difficult. It is required to set a goal - first of all, to disable the strong participants, and then start finishing off the weak ones. And if in a fight you had to face an experienced opponent head-on, then it is better to try to move away and wait for the help of the allies, if possible.
You can also see which team is winning by HP. There is a counter that shows what contribution the player made: how many times he hit and what damage he inflicted on this or that technique; and which of the enemies fired back.

The deer meter mod is one of the most popular among officially approved modifications.

Mod XVM- Extended Visualization Mod is reindeer(aka deer meter or usermeter) - this is combat statistics World of Tanks players. Shows the percentage of victories of players and highlights their nicknames depending on the level of pumping.

Mods for World of Tanks are very diverse, but in front of you is one of those that simply must be installed on your world of tanks game client. The mod consists of two parts - itself XVM and statistics or also known as the reindeer ( XVM Stat). To set statistics, you will need to change the settings in the config.

The XVM mod will allow you to slightly improve the game by slightly expanding the possibilities of the game interface. modification allows you to do such chips as:

  • Changed tank markers. Now customizing them for yourself has become even easier. The settings are very flexible.
  • The damage log is a very useful thing in combat for those who are interested in how much health you have taken from opponents right during the battle.
  • A simple change of the "Sixth Sense" light bulb - you can throw your picture into res_mods/icons/SixthSense.png .
  • Customization of the loading screen, list of players and statistics during the battle.
  • Adding clan and player icons to the game.
  • A modified capture bar that shows the number of invaders and the time remaining until the capture.
  • Improved minimap with model names and the location of the last enemy spot.
  • And much more...

What do the numbers in the reindeer gauge mean?

Next to each player we see the following numbers (example): 2k 3200 52%. Let's take a look at what each of them means.

In our particular case:

  • 2k - reduced and rounded number of fights. 1k = 1000 fights, since "k" is a kilo, that is, a thousand. 10k = 10,000 and so on.
  • 52% is the player's winning percentage.
  • But between them there is another figure 3200, the meaning of which many do not understand. This figure is the player's performance rating.

World of Tanks efficiency rating

The efficiency rating is a conditional numerical value that determines the effectiveness of a player in battle. The mod developers themselves give the following definition of the efficiency rating: " a qualitative characteristic that determines the effectiveness of a player in combat".

But how is it considered? For this, a very tricky efficiency rating formula was invented. Player World of tanks. There you can also read how to change it to 4 digits.

In the reindeer meter mod, all statistics numbers are highlighted in the appropriate color, depending on the player's skill:

  • Green is good
  • Yellow - satisfactory,
  • Red is bad.
  • Violet is increasingly common - it means that this value is very outstanding.

What is XVM mod for World of Tanks?

XVM (eXtended Visualization Mod)- the most widely known and most commonly used modification for the game World of Tanks. XVM allows you to customize the game interface "for yourself", which makes it more convenient to perceive. The XVM mod is used in many (almost all) builds of modifications as a basis, however, we recommend using the modification from the original source, and not as part of third-party builds, this will protect you and ensure stable operation of the modification.

Modification has a lot of possibilities, and here are just a few of them:

  • Markers over tanks (improved HP bar, with the ability to fine-tune the thickness, color and transparency (including dynamic). Improved visualization of the "flying HP" effect)
  • Disable afterlife panel
  • Icon mirroring control (useful if you use non-standard icons)
  • Managing the players panel ("Ears"), changing the width, transparency, format of output data
  • Assigning icons to players or clans for display right in battle
  • Log of the damage you inflicted on the enemy in real time, right in battle (commonly known as a hitlog / hitlog)
  • Capture strip mod.
  • Minimap mod with beams, view circles, enemies missing from the light and a lot of other features.
  • Extended (more convenient and detailed) statistics in "achievements".

Download and install XVM mod

Installing the mod XVM deermeter

Mod installation: download the archive and unpack the contents to the root of the game. For example D:\Games\World_of_Tanks.

Path to config files: D:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\@Default

Config for reindeer

The mod is controlled by a special settings file - "config". Starting with the version of the reindeer under World of Tanks 0.9.20, the config has been changed - it has been divided into more files, each of which is responsible for its part of the mod. This was done for convenience and structure.

The standard config files are now located in this path:

res_mods\xvm\configs\@Default\...

Note that the game version is not listed in the path. That is, the mod is installed, as it should be here - res_mods/0.9.1/..., and the config files are separate!

How to enable the display of reindeer count statistics?

Well, or in other words, how can you turn on the deer gauge? Everything is very simple. You need to open several config files using regular notepad or Notepad ++.

Step 1. In order for the config to start working at all, rename \res_mods\xvm\xvm.xc.sample to xvm.xc.

  1. use a ready-made config;
  2. configure everything by hand (I advise only if you understand what you are doing, otherwise you can break the mod; for more details, see the article on how to turn on the chances of winning and statistics of the reindeer hunter);
  3. configure the reindeer gauge through the config editor.

Choose the option that suits you best.

The finished config can be connected through the xvm.xc file, which we renamed in the first step. We find the following line there:

$("configs/@Default/@xvm.xc":".")

In this piece, we are specifically interested only in the address of the config, namely "configs/@Default/@xvm.xc". For example, in the standard delivery of the mod, the config from the developer sirimax is already included. Its config is located in the res_mods\xvm\configs folder, and in order to enable it, change the above line to:

$("configs/sirimax.xc":".")

We save the xvm.xc file, start the game.

ATTENTION! For the config to work, you need to rename the res_mods\configs\xvm\xvm.xc.sample file to xvm.xc, and inside the file change the $("default/@xvm.xc":".") line to the path to your config.

The standard config files are now located in this path:

Updated 10/14/2019: XVM-8.1.1: [GENERAL] * World of Tanks 1.6.1.1 * Redesigned XFW Loader. More info: https://gitlab.com/xvm/xvm/wikis * Changes to .wotmod names: * added `com.modxvm.xfw.loader` * removed `com.modxvm.xfw` [MACROS] * added macro to hangar: ((v.multiNation)) - "multi" for vehicles that can change nation, empty - for regular vehicles [KNOWN ISSUES] * XVM is not compatible with the 64-bit version of the client

XVM or "Olenemer" is the oldest, most complex and functional mod for World of Tanks. With it, you can change any elements of the game interface, from inscriptions over tanks in battle to statistics in the hangar.

Composition of Olenemer

Markers over tanks

XVM allows you to add almost any information about the player and his combat vehicle to the marker above the tank of an ally or enemy. Thanks to the standard ability to turn on the extended marker mode using the Alt button, the possibilities are doubled. For example, here is a screenshot of the marker in the user configuration:

In the marker, in addition to the model of the tank "Tiger I", the current number of frags: "2", WN8 rating: "525" and the percentage of the player's wins on this tank"52%". Also visible is a separate mod, not related to XVM.

At the same time, information on the same player in the pre-battle screen and the information panel of allies is displayed in a different format: tank model - number of battles on the account - Efficiency Rating (RE, Efficiency) - percentage of wins on the account.

Marker settings are in the files:

  • markersAliveNormal.xc - standard mode
  • markersAliveExtended.xc - marker view with the Alt button pressed
  • markersDeadNormal.xc - marker for a destroyed tank
  • markersDeadExtended.xc - extended mode by Alt button

Description of macros for displaying information in battle is in the file macros.txt

Damage log

Hitlog or hit log allows you to control the amount of damage dealt to enemy tanks. This feature can be useful for personal combat missions or earning Main Caliber medals. The damage counter is usually located under the score panel and can show both the sum of all targets, and for each individual target. Macros can also be widely used here, which allows you to find out in detail who you shot, how many times and with what result. The configuration is in the hitLog.xc file

Replacing the "bulb" of the sixth sense

The activation icon of the commander's skill "sixth sense" is replaced with an arbitrary picture using XVM not simply, but very simply. It is enough to put a file in the *.png format in the res_modsxvmres directory and name it SixthSense.png Then instead of the standard light bulb, when the light comes on, you will see your picture. For example, like this:

The screenshot also shows non-XVM mods: improved standard scope and the minimum information panel of the tank in the scope (only review and reload).

Customizable player panels, stats table and loading screen

Parameters of command information panels ("ears")

Located in the playersPanel.xc file Here you can set the following settings:

  • Transparency of the background of the "ears" and icons of tanks
  • Displaying clan and platoon icons
  • Enemy detection status- allows you to set up indicators for not illuminated enemies, for those who are in the illumination and for those who have been detected, but not visible at the moment.
  • Display information about allies and opponents in the "ears". The most important part of this category of UI changes is allowing you to choose what you see in the medium and wide ear modes. Here you can also add various macros with ratings, the number of frags, the percentage of wins on the player's tank, etc.

Statistics table

Displayed in battle by pressing the Tab button. The settings are in the statisticForm.xc file. The possibilities for displaying information are similar to the "ears", plus, you can enable the calculation of chances of winning.

Battle loading screen

Or a pre-battle screen. Its settings are stored in battleLoading.xc and are also similar to the capabilities of the "ears" and the statistics table.

All three of these elements of the combat interface are designed to give you information about enemies and allies, which you can not help but use. Try different combinations of settings and macros. Keep in mind, however, that all ear modes, stat tables, and pre-battle screens can display different information of your choice.

Clan and player icons

XVM includes clan icons from the top 150 by default, and also allows users of the mod to set their own icons for other clans and even for individual players. The last feature gives you the ability to mark and spot friends or enemies in combat.

To customize your icon for a clan or player, you need to:

  • Go to res_modsxvmresclanicons
  • Select your game cluster, for example RU - if you are in Russia or Ukraine
  • Select clan or nick folder depending on whether you want to add your clan or player icon
  • Place an image in *.png format with a name that repeats the clantag or the player's name, for example: ABLE.png or Jove.png

Please note that only you will see the added icon. To get into the number of clans for which icons are displayed by default in XVM, you need to be in the top 150 clans of your region. For individual players, adding their own icon for distribution along with Olenemer is basically impossible.

Modified base capture lane

Good known to the players interface change. Instead of the abstract base capture points of the standard client, you will see the number of invaders and the time remaining until a successful capture.

The settings are in the file captureBar.xc

Smart minimap

Also an extremely popular mod, for which we even had to make an alternative - for players with weak computers. The minimap is configured using several XVM configuration files:

  • minimap.xc - transparency and increase / decrease minimap
  • minimapCircles.xc - setting circles of view and range of artillery
  • minimapLabels.xc - allows you to change the inscriptions on the minimap, add icons, various text, vehicle signatures, etc.
  • minimapLines.xc - the direction of your tank's gun, the direction of the hull, the angles of horizontal aiming, the direction of the camera's field of view

It is also worth watching a video on setting up the minimap:

Hangar mods XVM

Allows you to customize various elements of the hangar and the login screen.

  • login.xc - configures the World of Tanks login screen: allows you to skip the start video and watch the ping to the servers before entering them
  • hangar.xc - hangar parameters. Shows ping to the north of the game, calculates personal rating and other improvements on the "Achievements" tab
  • battleResults.xc - battle results window or "post-battle screen". Allows you to show net income in silver, experience, percentage of hits, damage done and chances of winning

XVM for World of Tanks, or as it is also called by most players - “reindeer”. it game modification with a huge number of possible settings, is one of the most popular, just think, more than three million players around the world use the mod, downloading and installing it with each new patch release! So what is a “reindeer gauge”, what capabilities does it have and how to install this modification - we will talk about this now.

Features of the XVM mod
As mentioned above, this modification for the game World of Tanks is very popular, because so many players use it. So let's look at the main features of the "reindeer gauge" in order to understand why it is so in demand:

  • Statistics is the first and most important feature of XVM for World of Tanks. After installing and activating the mod, you get the opportunity to monitor your own statistics, as well as the same parameters of your allies and opponents. Among the values when loading a battle, the number of battles played by the player on all vehicles is displayed, the statistics of victories in the game on a certain tank and all vehicles in general, and the level of utility of the player is calculated according to a particular rating, which each user can choose himself (efficiency, WN6\ 7/8, etc.)
  • Customization of markers over tanks is another major element of the interface change. With it, you can configure the information in the markers above the enemy and allied vehicles so that the numbers of the damage done, information about the ammo explosion, the display of the vehicle icon, the tank level, its type (ST, TT, LT, PT and SPG), the name of the tank and player nickname and so on, this list is great.
  • Map - changes to the map are also very important, because after installing XVM, circles appear on the minimap, enemy tanks are marked in the place of the last light, the minimap can be zoomed in and out, etc.
  • Damage log - the “deer meter” is able to keep "live" statistics of the damage you have caused. This means that when you hit a target, the damage you have dealt will be recorded in a small tablet, as well as all the damage will be summed up so that you always know how much damage you have dealt at the current moment.
  • Base capture - now the base capture bar displayed at the top calculates the approximate time it will take to capture and the number of invaders, which allows you to more accurately assess the situation in battle.
  • Among other features of Olenemer, one can note a change appearance light bulbs "sixth sense", disable the intro movie at startup Tanks World of Tanks, make two rows of tanks in the hangar instead of one, monitor ping, server load, etc.
In other words, we can say that this modification has incredibly wide possibilities, you can even change the files in the root folder after installing the “reindeer gauge” in such a way as to configure the display of absolutely all configurations exactly the way you want, but for this you will need to dig online, it's not easy.
