But it turns out that all this is just a small part of what was actually offered. Visceral Games this time. Having overcome a long introduction, you understand that only by the third part "Dead space" developed into a full fledged sci-fi story, where there is a place not only for mutants and space station corridors, but also for human factors. Here are the experiences of the protagonist, and his missing girlfriend, and new acquaintances, and human opponents from the organization of crazy people who are all trying to promote a new religion based on hallucinations from the Obelisk.

The horror has become a little less, but, firstly, it is no longer possible to scare three times in a row with Necromorphs and the Obelisk. So, we increase the concentration of action and mind-blowing scenes!

And secondly, crushing halves of Necromorphs with heavy boots and cutting off their nasty limbs with surgical precision is still a lot of fun. Blood flows like water, freaks never seen before crawl out onto the stage, the player learns new secrets about this whole mess with the Obelisk, and so on.

Plus, if it's already boring to go through all this alone, please - here's a cooperative mode for you, it's even more fun in the game with a partner! In games in which the camera, for example, is like an autonomous republic that lives by its own rules, completely detached from reality, without succumbing to any laws of physics, constantly clinging to the most idiotic places in terms of view, or in games when you only dream about the fact that the camera was not under your control. But in this case, no other word than fucked up you won't call it. Because in a game where the main aspect for survival is (even if not to do a headshot), but only shoot off limbs, aiming at the force and preparing for the shot, the mouse, as if mocking you, says “ No, bro, I’ll turn a couple of centimeters to the right here, so that life doesn’t seem sweet to you”and of course you miss, which is what the Necromorph actually uses, trying to tear you apart. About what further passage could it be after this? In the short time that I played it, I saw everything that is inherent in a great horror - a creepy dark atmosphere, suspicious dumb sounds, and a cloud of monsters. Although, with the latter it was the other way around. Because " chip» games, namely in terms of horror, there was a share expectations. The expectation that you are about to be attacked, but this did not happen. And when you catch yourself thinking that " No one has tried to kill me for a long time” and you think that monsters will soon climb, but they are all gone - this is part of the expectation. After all, right at the moment when you have already relaxed after the next puzzle (which, by the way, was pretty cool in the game) and peacefully go to hand over the task, monsters attack you sharply and without warning, which is terribly scary. In conception, implementation and the like, the game turned out at the highest level and immediately got a bunch of fans. The game is just sweet (except for the stupid control port). And there was a girl, with just a c h e r e n i t e l ass, which did not deliver a little. Therefore, guys, if anyone is reading this and knows that some kind of patch has been released that fixes the curvature of the control, please write in the comments, I will be grateful. Dead Space: Chapter II.

The phrase of the developers, at the expense of the third part of the game, regarding the violent negative reaction of gamers to the fact that the game has too many action scenes, to which they replied “ Don't worry, we'll strike a balance between horror and action” in my opinion, it is well applicable to the second part of the game. Because you will agree - it was this balance that was coolly implemented in it. Yes, the scary moments in the game have become many times less, but at least they have not completely disappeared. A vivid example of this was the moment when, passing through one of the blocks, the fire extinguishing system suddenly works, or in a dark room, passing through which the TV turned on, showing the whole picture in the room. Honestly, it dropped me, and I had a desire, purely out of principle, to put the entire clip from the cutter into it, it’s good that by that time it didn’t exist yet. There are a lot more monsters in the game, which added action to the game. I often heard from my friends who went through the first part that " there are not many monsters in the game". And how I was surprised by the very first level, where we had to run away from the Necromorphs in a straitjacket, where they were, it was just quintessence, as if all the monsters from the first part were gathered together and thrown to the first level in the game. By the way, the protagonist of the first part remained the main character of the game - Isaac who probably thought that stop mowing" under Gordon Freeman and in the second part of the game, he spoke, maybe this is due to the fact that his helmet was completely demolished, which is what the horror aspect of the game is built on. But do not forget about the atmosphere of the first part, which was transferred to this one. What is one of the most worth dumb moments in the game return to Ishimura. Seriously, wandering aboard the ship, I listened to every rustle, and for good reason - because, as in the first part, Necromorphs had the audacity to appear out of nowhere and unexpectedly. The game is not without epic and funny moments, remember at least a trip on the hood of a drilling machine, or extracting information about the Obelisk from the eye. As for the weapons, I can’t say anything, they were cool, but by the end of the game I preferred to tear off limbs from Necromorphs (I called them - ragulins) and using kinesis- throw them at the remaining monsters. It was also fun to watch how Isaac dies different ways. In my opinion, the second part is made very high quality, and deservedly can be called continuation of a very cool game.

Dead Space: Chapter III.

Let's move on to the third, and the last at the moment, game from the series. To tell the truth, like many, I expected from the third part more than another third-person shooter inspired by the massive demand for this kind of product. Reading the reviews and just comments of many people, I realized that most of the fans remained, to put it mildly " dissatisfied what the game has become. But it's not all that bad. In the third part, it became possible to create own weapon, which you will agree has been a dream of many for a very long time. Of course, who didn’t want to make something of their own, a weapon of unprecedented power that could be taken straight from the machine and stomped to the training ground, tested on Necromorphs? I wanted something like that, and there were enough goals. Because if you thought that there were a lot of monsters in the second part, wait, guys, you haven't seen the third part yet. Personally, I was very stressed by the fact that when you pass additional task and you already see your prize, you understand from the edge of the brain - well it starts now, and at first it is very delivering and fun, but when you go through most of the game, you just get tired of killing necromorphs. You see, when your eyes are already dazzling from the number of corpses and severed limbs in the location, while you have few cartridges left, and these bastards keep climbing and climbing, and there is no end to them, you must admit - it already starts to enrage. One of the shortcomings in the game was that cartridges now one for all types of weapons. You see, there was something funny about the way in the second part we carefully referred to cartridges for one, strong weapon, saying to themselves " I will not use it now, suddenly it will come in handy more". And here you can shoot from a machine gun, after which, pull out a clip, insert it into a flamethrower and go on to bring down countless monsters. This is a bit dumb. The game also made sense to collect relics, because, having collected one complete set, we opened unique nodes(improvement modules) for crafting weapons. The innovation of the developers in the game of the series deserves special attention - cooperative mode(or co-op). But if you don’t have a friend at hand, you, the guy, will go through yourself. And this is frankly stupid, couldn’t it have been done something similar, as in resident evil 5 ? Yes, often we get nothing from a bot partner but a headache and hassle. He always gets in the way, spends an already small amount of ammunition, and generally behaves like that other moron. But it is in this game that such a bot would be useful. He could help you in difficult situations, amuse you by staring into some kind of wall, as if trying to " textures to see, after all, he could just run around in circles, working as a bait, collecting all the Necromorphs in the level, and entertaining them while you calmly do your thing, ignoring his request for help. So no, instead, after another protracted shootout, you catch yourself thinking - “ Damn where is my partner". And I also noticed such a trend that if somehow, in the game there is a mention of Shepard from mass effect, or worse - a semblance of his armor - that's it, there is no point in going through the game, since at the end the hero, for whom we f * pu torn, so that he would survive, will die anyway, or his fate will remain unknown.

And in conclusion.

Yes, despite everything, good or bad, that I spun in this article, I could not help but catch myself thinking that I would like to play part 4 with pleasure. Yes, the third part received lower ratings than the two predecessors, but we fans know why. I hope that, nevertheless, when the fourth part will be released. I hope that the main character will be the same simple engineer Isaac Clarke, because we cannot say that he died, which means everything can be. I hope that the developers will take up their heads and stop being led by the newfangled trend " please everyone”, and remember their devoted and loyal fans, for whom they once made such cult projects. We hope and wait.

The game begins with a huge space station orbiting the most distant and mysterious planet, a distress signal has arrived. You are part of a rescue team on a small plane. As you approach the space station, you realize that their transmitters are broken and you will have to blindly park inside their station. The landing didn't go very smoothly. Once inside one of the stations, some mutants attacked your team. Part of your crew died on the spot. After some time, you find out that your commander and assistant are still alive. Follow their instructions and do everything possible to get out of this hell. Soon you will find out that your beloved is on board the station, who committed suicide due to strange events that happened here. Mutants are controlled by a common mind, so it will be very difficult to fight them.
