DLC Dark Arisen

1. Prologue

Quest: The End at the Beginning

We play a man named Savan (Savan). Together with the satellite Seld (Salde) we go through the gorges. On the cliff we see a dragon, we defend ourselves from its fire by pressing the block (Alt key). We pass into the gorge on the right, we kill two enemies, using ordinary (LMB) and enhanced strikes (RMB).

We jump into the cave, touch the glowing stone (Rift stone), thereby calling two more companions - the archer Queens (Quince) and the wizard Morganna (Morganna). We study three command lines:

F1 - Go! - allies go ahead of us, attack enemies.

F2 - Come - the allies are following us.

F3 - Help - summon allies to you.

The Tainted Mountain Temple

We get into the hall, go down to the first floor, beat a detachment of goblins. Under the bridge, you can take an item from the chest ("E" key). After that, birds will fly in, only the archer and the magician will be able to fight back, we cover them from bird raids.

In the next corridor we are met by knights led by Sir Palotti (Ser Palotti) and lead us further. On the corner we take another chest.

Boss: Chimera(Chimera)

We enter the Grand Hall, here we have a boss fight. This is a monster with the head of a lion, a goat and a snake. our allies will climb on the back of the monster and attack him there, but we can only walk on the ground. It's better to stay on the side of the monster and attack him from the side. A lion can attack us ahead of us, and a snake can attack us from behind. The magician can create clots of light, we can enter them to restore health.

Having won, we enter the gate. This is where the prologue ends.

2. Cassardis village
Dragon "s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Walkthrough. Kassardis

Quest: Harbinger of Destruction

We see how the dragon wakes up and flies over the water.

Let's create our character. After that, we immediately see how the awakened dragon attacks the hero’s village. While the dragon is busy with destruction, we approach him from behind and hit his paw with a sword. The dragon notices the hero, eats his fiery heart and flies away. The hero himself remains alive without a heart, and receives some unknown connection with the dragon.

Quest: Newly Arisen

We wake up at home after the battle. We take the sword, while we will need to choose 1 of 3 hero classes: warrior, dodger, magician. We can also take a green plant in the room. We leave, eavesdrop on the conversation of the girl with the old man.

In the city, we can go around all the buildings, collect medicinal plants, bottles of potions, food, and other things. On the shore, we can go to the right side to the location Starfall Bay, there in the gorges we find two chests with things. A few more chests can be found on the roofs of houses, on the slopes of mountains.

We can do some additional tasks. People who give quests are highlighted with a green icon above their heads.

Additional quests in Cassardis

Quest: Floral Delivery

We go into a ruined building with fabric awnings instead of a roof. There is an infirmary for all the wounded in battle. We communicate with Benita (Benita). She asks us to bring her plants of two types: 5 Sunbright and Moonglow.

Sunbright pink flowers grow at the roots of large trees. We can only find them on the road behind the second settlement, and only during the day. The blue glowing flower Moonglow can be found in the southeast bay of the village, but only at night.

Quest: Grim Tidings

We rise to the top of the village, enter the local temple Village Chapel. We communicate with Elvar (Elvar), sitting on the bench. He asks us to tell the bad news to Merin about the death of his brother Cortese.

We can find gelding near the infirmary, he takes care of the sick outside. we give him the news. We return to the church to Elvar, and the quest is completed.

Quest: Lost Faith

In the church we communicate with the priest Clementine (Clemente). He asks to find a lost book. At the exit from the church, we learn that the boy Lewis (Lewes) took the book and lost it somewhere on the roofs.

We go from the church to the fence, climb it, go along the narrow wall to the roof, which consists of two compartments. The book lies on the border of the compartments, on the edge of the upper half of the roof. It is very difficult to notice it, it is the same color as the roof itself. We take it, return Clementine.

Cassardis bulletin board

The board is located near the western gate in Pablo's Inn to the right of the entrance.

Jobs on bulletin boards always consist of destroying a certain type of monsters. We just take these tasks, that's all. After completion, there is no need to return anywhere, we will receive a reward automatically.

Reclaim the Roads

Defeat 10 bandits. In South Gransys. Reward: Aneled Stilettos.

goblin raid

Defeat 10 goblins. On the Moonsbit Pass. Reward: 1500 coins.

Appear on the western road when we reach a certain level of the hero.

Rat Catcher

Defeat 7 rats. AT???. Reward: 800 experience.

We will find them when, according to the plot, it will be necessary to go down to the dungeon of the village through the well.

He Should Be So Lucky

Defeat 5 rabbits. In Cassardis Vicinity. Reward: 500 coins.

Rabbits live on the road west of the village.

Upon a Pawn

Task: Make for the Encampment

We approach the western exit from the village. Right in front of the gate, an assistant “pawn” named Rook teleports to us. He calls us on a hike to the neighboring fortress (Encampment). We leave the gate.

We go along the road. To the left in the forest and to the right on the coast you can find chests with useful items. On the way, we see how the wandering merchant Reynard (Reynard) is attacked by goblins. If we manage to save him, we will receive a cloak as a reward.

3. Fortress Encampment
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

Call of the Arisen

Quest: Head the Voice.

Once in the fortress, we go to the Riftstone in a large tent. Communication is interrupted by a security guard who has come running. A battle is going on outside the walls of the fortress, we are called for help. They won’t let us out of the other gates, so we go to the northwestern gate to the Drive Off the Threat location.

Boss: Cyclops(Cyclops)

Vulnerable Spot: Eye. Vulnerable to the spell: Thunder (Mage's Tornado). Local warriors have almost finished off the Cyclops, half of the last strip of life remains. We kill two goblins, we are taken for the boss himself. If we play as a magician or an archer, from afar we aim at the eye of the cyclops. If we play as a warrior, we will have to climb the monster to its head in order to hit the eye, this is done with the "F" key.

After defeating the boss, collect the remaining treasures, return.

We approach the Breach Stone again. In the menu that appears, create a character - your main assistant. The main "pawn" gains experience, earns levels with us, it cannot be exchanged for other characters. Having created the main "pawn", we select two more ready-made characters. It is better to choose different classes so that they complement each other. We can already change them every time we visit the Breachstone.

Strength in Numbers

Having assembled a team of all 4 people, we go to the knight Sir Berne (Ser Berne), he will arrange a training session for us. We have to rehearse team actions. All tests are limited in time.

1st test. You need to move 4 boxes. We look where our pawns ran, go to the remaining box and carry it (we take it and throw it with the "F" key).

2nd test. We destroy mannequins of enemies.

3rd test. We also destroy the mannequins of enemies, but now they are divided into classes. Red dummies can only be broken by physical attacks, blue ones can only be broken by magic.

Encampment bulletin board

The board is located on the northeast tower, to the right of the entrance to the training ground.

After completing enough side tasks, we can visit a man named Ecbal in the tent with the Breachstone. We can buy new skills from him for discipline points.

4. Cassardis, Encampment and surroundings
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

In the fortress, a mysterious man in a black robe will appear to us, he calls us back to the initial village. We go there, once again we meet this man in front of the entrance to the village.

Looking into the village, we can complete a new batch of side quests.

Additional quests

Deep Trouble(at Cassardis)

Quest: Kill the saurians in Dripstone Cave.

Upon returning to the village, the soldier Paul (Poll) will turn to us. He opened the well so we could deal with the monsters in the dungeon. We take a lantern from him and go down.

In caves, we can kill rats and bats for secondary tasks. In the far room, we need to destroy upright walking lizards with spears (saurians). These are pretty strong opponents. If you can’t kill them, you can return and level up on ordinary monsters outside the city to level 6-8. You can significantly increase the chances of winning if you stand on a hill and shoot enemies from there, or wait for the lizards to jump towards us and cut them one by one with a sword. If you are playing a warrior, it is better to approach the lizards from behind and cut off the tail with a few blows, after which they become helpless.

We return to the surface, we take a reward from the soldier.

Deeper Trouble(at Cassardis)

7 days after completing the first task in the well, we return to it, we hear cries for help from the bottom. We go down, we see a man Rorric, he asks us to destroy the nest of surian lizards.

We go to a large underground hall, where we fought last time, through the water we go through the tunnel to the next hall. There is a detachment of lizards here, there are clutches of eggs on the walls. We can set fire to the eggs with fire spells, this will distract the enemies. At the end, a huge lizard will appear.

Reward: 8000 gold, 6000 XP.

Dying of Curiosity(at Cassardis)

On the beach or near the shops we find a man named Merin. He asks to take the Greenwarish herbs to a man named Valmiro.

Take 6 Greenwarish herbs with you. They can be bought right there in the starting village, in the shop opposite the inn. At the exit at the gate we speak with a man, he will tell you that he saw Valmiro on the coast.

1. We leave the village, turn right, go down to the shore, find Valmiro lying on the sand. We give 1 medicinal herb.

2. We go to the Encampment fortress. Before entering the fortress, near the tree on the left, we find the lying Valmiro, we give him 2 herbs.

3. We enter the Witchwood forest from the western side, Valmiro lies at the very entrance, we give him 3 herbs.

We return to Merin, we get 8000 gold, 5000 XP.

Guard Duty(at Cassardis)

Objective: Escort Madeleine to the Encampment.

(If we do not complete this quest in time, before leaving for the next locations, then the whole chain of quests related to this girl will disappear from the game).

In the hotel we see a new girl, Madeleine, she is a traveling merchant, and therefore asks us to accompany her to the fortress.

On the way to the Encampment, we can only come across a group of goblins or robbers. Along the way, Madeleine will collect objects around her, so you need to stop in time, and not run ahead of her.

In the fortress, the girl will not give us a reward, but on the contrary, she will immodestly ask us for 1000 gold to develop her store in Grand Soren. We pay money in order to teach a very good point for buying / selling items in the future.

An Uninvited Guest(at Cassardis)

Quest: Catch the thief in Kassardis.

We speak with Pablos (Pablos) - the owner of the hotel. He will tell you that a thief has wound up in the village. After that, we speak with Astella and Heraldo - these are the sellers of two stores south of the hotel. Again we return to Pablos, we fall asleep with him until midnight.

We go outside at night. The thief-archer will run along the street with shops and along the street near the church. The thief runs faster than us, so we can't catch up with him. We can climb onto the roof, and then jump in time right in front of the thief. To catch him, use the capture ("F" key). If we don't catch it overnight, we'll have to sleep until the next night. And having caught, we receive an award from Pablos.

Extermination(message board at Cassardis)

Kill 24 giant bats.

(The quest will only be available after the "Deep Trouble" quest)

Found in almost every dungeon. You can return to the well, and complete the task there in several visits.

Britterblack Isle

In the village we go to the pier, we meet a girl with long hair named Olra. (In the game, it is highlighted on the map with a purple circle). Olra appears on the pier only at night. Girl can move us in new location.

The "Britterblack Isle" location belongs to the DLC add-on called "Dark Arisen", it is inhabited by very dangerous monsters, so it's better to go to the add-on location after completing the main game. But the first task can still be completed immediately, this will give us access to improving items by 3 stars.

A Guiding Light

Task: Find the labyrinth.

We run through the first labyrinth with monsters. On the way there will be rabid wolves, goblins, as well as the Death boss, but it is not necessary to kill them all, we can run past. After the labyrinth, in the next room we find the Barroch man, he can improve our items to 3-star quality if we have gold and the right ingredients.

Reward: Liftstone.

Dousing the Blight

Purify a cursed item. Reward: Wizarding Gloves.

Slumbering Promise

Upgrade your weapon in the Fire Wyrm's fire. Reward: Bloody Knuckle.

Visions of the End 1

(Appears after completing the quest "A Guiding Light")

Collect 10 Marble Sculptures. Region: Britterblack Isle, Upper Stratum. Reward: Cursed King's Belt.

A Rude Awakening

Again we go to the Encampment fortress. Near the big tent we speak with the girl Mercedes (Mercedes). After a while, a huge multi-headed snake will attack the camp.

Boss: Hydra (Hydra)

Weakness: cutting weapon. We cannot completely defeat this boss yet, we just need to cut off one of the heads. If we play as a warrior, we need to climb the snake to the head and hit it there. With an archer or magician, we focus fire on only one specific head.

The Hydra, having lost its head, will retreat from the camp. Mercedes will thank us and announce the next task - to take the trophy head to the capital.

(We take the task, but leave it for later. Before that, you need to complete the remaining Additional tasks in starting locations. After arriving in the capital, some of the quests will become unavailable).

Lost and Found(in Encampment)

(The quest will only be available after the quest "A Rude Awakening")

After defeating the Hydra, we leave the fortress through the northeastern gate, Elvar will meet us and report that Quina has disappeared. We return to the village of Kassardis and speak with the old man Adaro at the entrance gate. He will tell you to look for Quina in Witchwood.

We return to the fortress, from it we go north, at the fork we turn left. On the way we will be attacked by wolves. A little further we climb along a narrow path to the hill, at this moment a boulder will roll from above. You need to get back in time. At the top there are bandits who threw a boulder at us, they are still much stronger than us, so it's better not to fight, but to run past.

We get into a new location, go south to get to Wychwood. here the enemies are only wolves, wild boars and spiders. There is a continuous fog on the location map, so that the map can be seen, you need to destroy totems - skulls on sticks, then the fog will decrease. At the beginning of the location we meet the lost Quinn, we lead her forward.

We reach the witch's house on the tree, there we meet Celine (Selene). Inside, we collect items, including the Bronze Idol - a quest item that gives a discount from merchants.

From the witch's house we go north, through the cave we return to the village itself. In Kassardis, we report to Adaro that we have found Quina, we receive a reward.

off with its head

From the fortress we go along the northern road, before the bridge we rise to the hill on the left. Here we are waiting for a caravan with the head of the Hydra.

We go in front of the caravan, kill all the enemies we meet: goblins, harpies, wolves, bandits, and at night also the undead. If we move far from the wagon, the caravan will stop, so stay close.

At the fork in the road, first we go north, we clean the house of the bandits on the hill. On the right road there is a narrow canyon, in which we knock down stones over in advance, otherwise they will be thrown directly onto the caravan.

5. Gran Sored Capital
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

A Matter of Myrmidons

At the entrance to the city, a black Mason will meet us and advise us to visit the local guild of "pawns".

We go along the northwestern street, but Sir Camillus stops us in front of the gate and does not let us through. To pass, you need to make the quest "A Matter of Myrmidons" active (select "Quests" in the pause menu, select the desired quest, press "Enter"), then they will let us through.

We pass into a separate yard. In the guild building we communicate with Barnaby (Barnaby), the quest is completed.

In the courtyard near the guild there are several low crystals in the ground - this is Portcristal, which allows you to quickly move around the global map. We cannot use it, it is just a point where we can teleport at any moment. For the teleportation itself, you need to use the Ferrystone stone on the Tools tab. It disappears after one use, new stones can be bought in shops of magic items.

Lure of the Abyss

Guildmaster Barnaby gives us the task to go down to the guild dungeon - Everfall. It is better to take a magician with spells against the undead with you on a mission, potions or plants to increase stamina will also come in handy.

We go down to Everfall along the circular stairs. There are no dangerous spiders and bats on the way. When we see a closed grate on the way, we go to the side corridor. We fight with a group of skeletons. Returning to the stairs on the other side of the lattice, we press the lever on the wall, and the lattice gate will rise.

Further along the way we meet a large ogre. He is smaller than a troll, but much more dangerous and tenacious than him. The ogre often runs at us, trying to knock us down, this can be used to your advantage. We get up not far from the central abyss, we wait for the ogre, when he runs at us, we jump off to the side. The ogre will fall and die immediately, and we get 6000 XP.

Having gone down to the bottom of the dungeon, in the center we find a round pedestal with a crystal, but so far we do not touch it. We can inspect a couple of side rooms. To the right is the Ceremonial Cage, inside we can open the tombs and kill the skeletons. On the left is a two-story hall, at the top of which you can collect some gold.

We approach the pedestal in the center, take Teleport Stone(works like a Portcristal near the pawn guild, but you can put it anywhere and then return to it with a Ferrystone). We immediately activate an empty pedestal, from which fiery snakes, skeletons and undead will begin to appear from under the ground. It is useless to fight, we quickly run up the circular stairs. In order not to stop, you can drink stamina potions, or you need to stop before the stamina runs out and give the hero time to rest.

On the surface we speak with Barnaby. Reward: 15000 gold, 8000 XP.

4 tasks Ser Maximilian

At the exit from the guild we meet a soldier Ser Duncan, he invites us to a meeting with the captain Ser Maximilian.

The soldier gives us the Snake Hunter's License ( Wyrm Hunt). This item gives us a discount in Gran Soren stores.

During the audience, Sir Maximilian gives us 4 tasks ( , , , ). You need to complete at least 2 of them to advance further in the story.

The Cypher(Ser Maximilian)

Task: You need to decipher the inscriptions on the manuscript.

There are 3 people in the city who may know about the cipher:

1. Josias is a farmer, he can be found in the fields in the northwest of the city. But it turns out that he can't even read.

2. Mountebank - merchant in the store " The Black Cat" in the southeast corner of the city. He also will not be able to understand anything in the cipher.

3. Maurin - itinerant merchant. It runs between the cathedral, the guild and the north exit of the city. This merchant tells us who can help us - a certain old man who lives in the Hillfigure Knoll cave north of the city.

On the way from the capital to the cave, you will have to fight harpies and big wolves. Cyclopes can also be found, but it is better to bypass them. There will be Windbluff Tower in the middle of the path, but there is nothing interesting inside.

Having reached the cave, we see that a huge drawing of a warrior with a scar on his heart has been trampled on the ground nearby, of such a size that it can be seen even on the global map. The man in the cave is Dragonforged, we will find out his fate, very similar to ours, the dragon also took his heart from him.

We are looking for useful things in the cave. To the left of the seated person stands Bronze Idol. In the side dead end lies Portcrystal. Outside, in a giant drawing in the area of \u200b\u200bthe heart, you can find a fragment Wakestone.

We return to the capital, report to Maximilian about the decryption. Reward: 10,000 gold, 10,000 XP. We can throw away the already unnecessary sign with the cipher, it is quite heavy to just wear it.

Seeking Salvation(Ser Maximilian)

Quest: Learn about the Salvation cult.

We speak with the man Meridith in the hotel at the table, he will advise you to contact Mason.

Mason can be found in the slums on the lower level of the city, the descent there is located at the southern walls of the cathedral.

Mason will point out a few more people. We return to the marketplace and interrogate: Amity girl, Baden man, Ser Sairus soldier. We learn that the members of the cult live outside the capital, in the catacombs in the northwest.

We go down to The Catacombs. On the way, we open the tombs, kill the rising skeletons and the undead. For illumination, you can light bowls with fire. New ghost enemies appear here - flying blobs of energy that can impose curses on us such as slowing down. There will be small forks along the way, but in general, the catacombs are quite linear, we just go around all the rooms in order.

We go down the elevator, go to the cave. Here you have to fight with one ogre. We pass through the caves to other catacombs, here we hear the voices of people gathered in the hall. We climb onto the balcony and observe. Three villains are in command here: the head of the cult, an unknown knight, and the most important one is the man in the black hoodie Elysion, whom we have already met a couple of times during the game. The leader notices us, collapses the balcony, summons a crowd of undead and hides.

Fighting skeletons and zombies. We enter the door, we see that Mason has caught the leader of the cult of Salvation - Marcelo. The man justifies himself that he was deceived by Elysion, and he was striving for good goals.

We leave the cave along the long stairs, we find ourselves under the bridge not far from the capital. We return to Captain Maximilian, we get 9500 gold, 18000 XP.

The Watergod's Altar(Ser Maximilian)

Task: find out the fate of the research expedition.

We go to the cathedral, we speak with Father Jeffrey (Geffrey). He will tell you that the expedition has gone to Watergod's Altar.

We go south, pass between the rocks, stop in front of the bridge over the Mountain Waycastle gorge, turn west. If you walk along the northern slope of the river, you can fall and break. There is a gentle slope to the river on the south side, we go down, cross the river to the ford. On the other side we meet the Haslett man. He will tell you that the expedition entered the cave under the waterfall, we go there too.

We go along the narrow corridors, kill the skeletons. An obstacle will appear on the way - an abyss, and on the left is a switch without a handle. We go to the right of this place, go down the stairs, fight with the lizards. When we kill everyone, the doors will open and another squad of lizards will come out. Behind the door we find three chests, in one of them lies lever arm. We go back up, insert the lever into the switch, lower the suspension bridge.

We make our way through the ruins above the water. Here we are attacked by necromancers, they are easily killed in close combat, but they still need to be reached without falling into the water. There are invisible chameleon lizards in the side corridors.

We get to the last hall, here we find the body of one of the expedition members. Cyclops walks nearby, kill him, get red balloon. We return to the crossroads, go to the right dead end, open the door with a round notch with a red ball. Pushing behind the door floor button, from this the water level in the room will drop, and we can visit new rooms.

We return outside, to the waterfall, we inform Haslet about the failure of the expedition. He asks to complete their task - to find 5 fragments of Altar slates.

Again we go into the cave, looking for debris. If you select this quest as active, the location of all the necessary items will be indicated on the minimap. We find them in metal chests. The wreckage is quite heavy, 9.5 kg each, so you need to distribute it among all the pawns so that you can carry it away. In the drained part of the dungeon we meet another cyclops, but it is not necessary to fight him.

Having collected all the wreckage, we take them to the capital on a wagon. From Maximilian we get a reward of 13,000 gold, 15,000 XP.

The last task of Sir Maximilian is carried out far outside the capital, we leave it for later, and switch to the execution of secondary tasks.

6. Western Territory
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

There remains the last quest of Maximilian - A Fortress Besieged. To complete it, we need to get to the Shadow Fort far to the west, but first we need to get there. The fastest way to this location lies through the Ancient Quarry cave, the central western road from the capital leads to it. (In the capital, we collect all the remaining additional tasks, we will complete them on the way to the Shadow Fort).

Of Merchants and Monsters

Quest: Open the gate and clear the Ancient Quarry of ogres.

Before entering the mine, we meet the merchant Alon, he asks for a short path through the cave so that the merchants do not go around the southern gorge.

We enter the mine. On the left on the ground there is a round pressure plate, we stand on it with the whole detachment so that it is pressed, this will open the lattice gate. In the cave ahead, kill the bandits, take the key.

We return to the fork, go along the central path. In the western cul-de-sac, there is a bandit warehouse with gold and chests. Ahead we meet an ogre, but so far we are not fighting with him. We step on the second pressure plate, open another gate.

We leave the cave, report to the merchant that the path is open. He will update the task, now you still need to kill 3 ogres that live in the mine.

Again we go into the mine, we engage in battle with the ogre. it strong enemy, before the battle, it is better to take stronger pawns with a level higher than your own into the squad. We ourselves attack from behind, without falling into the hands of the ogre. You can hide from the ogre in narrow tunnels where he can’t get through, and from there shoot at him with spells and steles. There are 2 more ogres ahead, and they are close to each other, you need to take one of them away to kill enemies one by one.

Having won, we go outside to Alon, we receive a reward. After that, Alon will also open his shop in a cave in the western cul-de-sac.

Devilfire Grove

In the mine we go to the southern exit, we find ourselves in a grove in the western territory.

Here on the road is the Rest Camp, where Ser Nathaniel and the trader Jayce live. You can spend the night in their camp or use the pawn call stone.

In the south western region there is a large gorge where two giant ogres stand. Here we can climb a rock and shoot the ogres from a siege crossbow.

To the north of the gorge there is a healing spring Healing Spring, where you can restore all health for free.

In the southwestern corner of the location we descend into the gorge leading to the sea. On the shore of Bloodwater Beach we find a camp and a boat. There are 3 chests with armor in the camp, and 20 thousand gold in the boat.

The shadow fort is in the west global map. Be careful, the lone dragon Drake lives in the western area of Devilfire Grove, you can’t get close to him, otherwise he will fly into the air and burn our entire squad from above. We go around the dragon side, in a narrow gorge we fight with detachments of goblins. There will be no more obstacles on the way.

A Fortress Besieged

An army of goblins has settled in the Shadow Fort. They closed the main gate, no further to go. To the left of the entrance we see an army of people. We speak with officer Ser Robert, he points to a hole in the ground, we need to get through it into the castle and open the gates of the rest of the army.

Through the underground tunnel we get into the basement, we kill several goblins. We climb the stairs to the roof, we approach the gate switch, but there is no lever in it.

We go down to the first floor, outside we go forward, while ignoring the two cyclops and other enemies. We approach the central left room. This is a prison, and the entrance is closed with bars, but there is a ladder on the side of the wall, climb up, jump down inside through the broken roof. In one of the chambers we find Portcrystal. Near the chambers in the chest we find lever arm. We return to the first room on the roof, use the lever, and our allies penetrate inside.

Inside the fort, a real epic battle took place. But it is better not to engage in close combat, but to cover your army from above. We climb the building to the right of the main entrance, kill the goblins, sit down at the ballista ourselves. We shoot fire projectiles at the other two ballistas on the opposite side. After that, we shoot the Cyclopes. We go down, we finish off weak goblins.

When we kill most of the enemies, the goblins will retreat to the inner fortress, we run inside after them. We climb the stairs of the right tower to the very top, here another cyclops will block the path. At the top we go to the left tower, we go down to the floor below, so we get into the command room. The leader of the goblins has taken refuge here, we fight with this boss.

When the boss is low on health, he will enter into a conversation, and then jump out the window and run. You can jump after him if you have a lot of health or have a levitation spell so as not to break. If we can catch the goblin leader, we will get additional experience, otherwise he will just run away and the reward will be standard.

We go to Ser Robert, he gives us 20,000 gold for the victory. We return to the capital to Maximilian, he adds another 16800 gold, 20000 XP.

Additional tasks

A Troublesome Tome

Quest: Find Salomet's Grimoire and return it to Steffen

On the square near the metropolitan hotel Union Inn we meet the Indian Stefan, he asks to find Salomet's Grimoire.

We ask the saleswoman Camellia (Camellia) in the store to the left of the entrance about this task, she will indicate the location where the book was stolen.

We go to the marker on the map, not far from the fortress. We find a man robbed by bandits. We learn from him that the grimoire is located on the western plain in the ruins of Aernst Castle.

At the fork north of the Encampment fortress, we go west, through the gorge we exit to the fortress. The bandits on the plain are aggressive, but inside the castle ruins they don't attack us.

The grimoire is at the top of the tallest tower. We climb to the upper platform, further up the spiral staircase, jump to the next flight of stairs, and from there to the destroyed window and to the top of the wall, jump to the platform with a large chest, take from it Grimoire.

(On a narrow bridge we pass to a separate southern tower, in it on the ground lies a part of the Stone of Awakening - Wakestone, you will need it for another task).

We return to the capital, we give the Grimoire to the owner. Reward: 15,000 gold, 8,000 XP.

No Honor Among Thieves

(Requirement: An Uninvited Guest quest must be completed)

We take a task in the Aernst Castle camp. We speak with the leader of the bandits named Maul. He asks either to kill 10 representatives of the warring gang, or to find an escaped traitor.

1 option.

Option 2. We go to the initial city of Cassardis, in the hotel we find a robber-traitor named Pike. When talking with him, we select the first phrase "surrender to the mercy of the robbers." The bandit will leave the city.

We return to the camp, Maul pays us 4000 gold, 3500 XP.

Notice board at the Gran Sored Hotel. Right behind the door.

7. In the service of the duke
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

Come to Court

When we complete at least 2 of the 4 tasks of Captain Maximilian, we have the opportunity to visit the Duke himself, who rules this land.

(If we start this quest, then all unfinished story and side quests will be canceled, except for hunting monsters and Dark Arisen quests. It will be impossible to complete them later, so you need to complete them before going to the Duke).

We are allowed into the quarter around the castle, the pawns remain outside. We enter the building, the local jester takes us to the main hall and puts on us a jester's cap. All the officers gathered in the hall, the girl Mercedes and the young man Julien are also present here. Duke Edmun Dragonsbane knights us. We leave the castle.

Arousing suspension

At the exit from the castle on the right we see the Duchess in the garden. We approach her, continue to communicate until she removes the jester's cap from us. (If we don't talk to the duchess now, we won't have additional quests related to her).

We return to the castle, in the hall we speak with the maid Mirabelle. The girl conveys to us the desire of the duchess to meet with us, but this can only be done at night. We sleep in the hotel until nightfall, we arrive in the castle garden to the left of the entrance. We learn from the maid Mirabelle that the duchess is waiting for us in her room in a high tower. But at night it is forbidden to walk around the castle, if the guards see us, they will put us in jail. From Mirabelle we get the clothes of a maid, we change clothes so that the guards do not notice us from afar.

We enter the castle from the left side service door. We do not run and do not come close to patrolling guards. We imperceptibly go to the central hall, climb the stairs to the second floor, on the left we go up a few more floors. On the bridge we pass to a separate tower above the sea.

There is a meeting with the Duchess in the room. But suddenly the duke himself comes and, in a fit of incomprehensible obsession, begins to strangle the girl. To save her, we have to come out of hiding. As a result, we are put in jail.

A little later in the cell, the duchess comes to us, apologizes, and hands over the keys. We open our grate, open the extreme right chamber, through it we leave the prison. We take off the prison uniform, put on our armor. Quest completed.

(Staying in prison does not affect our reputation in any way, and after that we can also walk around the castle, but only during the day).

At the first exit from the castle, the officer Ser Alvert communicates with us and tells us what to do next. To get the following story missions, we return to the castle, in the central hall we talk with the adviser Aldous. He has two quests for us.

Griffin's Bane

Task: to participate in the hunt for the griffin.

We leave the capital through the southwestern gate, meet an army of knights, and go on a campaign with them. The knights are setting up an ambush on the southern cliffs. We see the marked area on the ground, you need to put the bait there. Nearby on the rocks there is a pack of goblins, we kill them, we carry the bodies of goblins to the marked place.

A huge griffin appears in the air. We are waiting for him to fall to the ground, and attack him. On horseback it is better not to climb on a griffin, it flies very high and a fall from it can be fatal. It is better to entrust this matter to the pawns. If the griffin completely disappears from view, we again carry the bait to the marked place.

Having lost half its health, the griffin will fly away towards the Colosseum on the shore. We need to follow him to the northeast corner of the global map. Along the way, we fight off bandits, harpies, a stone golem. bandits are very dangerous, it is better to run past them for now.

We get to the huge abandoned Cutlass Cape Colosseum. (It is better to leave a teleportation stone at the entrance). We climb to the top of this building, the griffin will attack us while we need to run away from it. With a melee weapon, we hit the wooden parts of the bars to go further.

In the central arena, we continue the battle with the griffin. During the battle, the Indian Sreffen comes to the rescue, he attacks with massive fire spells. Having won, we return to the capital to the adviser, we get 27,000 gold, 25,000 XP.

Trials and Tribulations

Task: collect evidence, report within 4 days.

The rich Fornival is suspected of high treason. We need to gather evidence and find out if he's guilty.

We go around several people, collect their testimony: 1 person in the palace, the rich man himself and his daughter, a priest in the cathedral, an evicted family of 3, now they live near the fields under a tree. One person is outside the capital - in the northern fort. There is another person who is not named in any way, but you can talk to him about this matter - this is Ansell from Xardis.

After collecting the evidence, we take them to the Duke's adviser. We can decide for ourselves what to give and what not to show to the court. After that, we wait 4 days until the verdict is delivered. After the expiration of the term, we go to the market square, we watch the public trial of the rich man.

The Wyrmking's Ring

(If additional Quest The Conspirators has not yet been completed, it will fail).

Quest: Find out about the thieves who stole the Duke's ring.

We interrogate several eyewitnesses: the guard Ser Tedrick at the entrance to the palace, the servant Pering in the utility room to the left of the entrance, the officer Ser Gyles on the second floor, the clerk Ambrose. Again we speak with the adviser Aldous. After that, we speak with a man named Mellard in an officer's house in a rich quarter, and he leads us to a gang of thieves.

From the capital we go west to the Ancient Quarry cave. Inside we fight with a gang of robbers led by the magician Salomet.

We return to the adviser. We interrogate the merchant Brice on the main square. We go to the Bluemoon Tower in the northeast corner of the global map. (If we left a stone there, we can quickly teleport).

In the arena of the Colosseum, we fight the warlock again, after the victory we take away his Wyrmking's Ring. We take it to the adviser, we get 30,000 gold, 30,000 XP.

Pride Before a Fall

There's a riot in the army in the north, we need to deal with it. We speak with the girl Mercedes on the second floor of the palace.

We leave for the northern garrison tower Windbluff Tower. In courtyard we see how the soldiers fight each other. We can participate (but we won’t be able to win completely, some of the soldiers lose all their health, but are not killed).

We rise to the tower, we see a dialogue between Mercedes and Julien. The duke's two chief generals decided to duel. Julien turned out to be the same black knight - one of the three villains. Both generals ask not to get involved in their battle one on one. If we still hit Julien, then Mercedes will stop fighting, and the duel will take place with our participation. As a result, Julien wins, after which he disappears from the battlefield.

We return to Adonis and report what happened.

Honor and Treachery

We get the next task, we go to Waycastle - a bridge across the gorge in the middle of the road between the capital and Kassardis. But, suddenly, we find out that the capital is completely attacked, we quickly return there.

The monster Cockatrice, a huge poisonous bird, flies over the wheat fields. Our task is to protect the three remaining storage boxes with provisions, all the others have already been burned. The boss is very dangerous, he releases poison around him, which slows down our movements. Before a poisonous attack, the bird takes air for a long time, at this moment you need to run away. you also need to dodge poisonous spitting.

Defeating such a monster is very difficult, but so far this is not required. We only need to take away one bar of health from him, after that the bird will fly away from the city. As a reward we get 40,000 gold, 15,000 XP.

Reward and Responsibility

The Duke summons us to his place. We rise to the second floor of the castle, go to the back room in his office. We follow the duke to the treasury. For our excellent service, the duke gives us a special Paladin's Mantle cloak.

Additional missions in Gran Soren

Rise of the Fallen(Ser Maximilian)

Task: Eavesdrop on a secret conversation.

Maximilian tells us that some kind of meeting of cult members is planned in the city under the central bridge across the river. We come to this point at night, listen to the conversation of two people in overalls. After we approach the remaining person, we can buy the key from him for 10,000 gold, or take it away by force.

With the extracted key, we go to The Catacombs, where we previously destroyed the cult of Salvation. It is better to enter through the nearest entrance - under the bridge to the north-west of the capital. In the cave we reach the elevator, we rise to the top floor. Here we open the locked door and find ourselves in a previously unexplored part of the dungeon.

We walk along the narrow corridors, kill the cultists and the undead that are called. The further path is blocked by a door, to open which you need to collect 5 green orbs. We examine all the tombs, both lying and vertically standing. Most of the spheres lie in dead ends, one sphere in the middle of the southern corridor, another sphere on the lower floor in front of a locked grate.

Having opened the doors, we pass to the necromancer Balsa. We destroy his called skeletons, zombies, we finish off the remaining cultist.

witch hunt

(Condition: Lost and Found quest must be completed)

On the marketplace we hear a conversation between three townsfolk, they discuss the attack of the peasants on the witch's house in Witchwood.

Time for the quest is limited, so we complete it right away, we go to the southern forest of Witchwood. Near the witch's house we see a crowd of people, but they still do not have time to enter the hut, a stone golem is activated outside. People run away, and we have to fight the boss.

Most of the golem's body is invulnerable. To inflict damage on him, you need to hit several purple seals, they are located: on the back, on the head, on the arm, on the hand, on the knee, on the foot.

After killing the golem, we can go through the door under the tree, which he guarded. We pass through the cave to another part of the forest, we find Selena and her mother Sophia (Sofiah).

Idol Worship

On the trading floor we go to the weapons store, the merchant Caxton asks to bring him one of the three idols:

You need to bring one of the three idols to the merchant:

1. Bronze Idol (one can be found in Witchwood in the witch's house on the window, the second in the Hillfigure Knoll cave, to the left of the Dragonforged elder);

2. Silver Idol (given for completing the "Put the Eye Out" hunting quest - kill 1 cyclops, you can take it on the board in the pawn guild);

3. Gold Idol (reward for additional quest "Escort Duty").

Which idol we give to the merchant will determine what new unique items will appear in his store.

Supplier's Demand

(Condition: The quest "Guard Duty" must be completed)

In the southeast corner of the city we visit Magdalene's house, we learn that she opened her Madeleine's Shop.

Magdalena asks us for one of the idols, just like in the "Idol Worship" quest. We decide which merchant to give which idol. (You can make a copy for 180000 gold, but it will not work).

The Conspirators

On the second floor of the castle we speak with a man named Fedel. He asks to meet him at night in the garden to the right of the castle. At night we arrive at the place, for some time we are waiting for the appearance of Fedel. We learn his task: you need to find a lost letter somewhere in Soulflayer Canyon.

We go to the indicated place. The location of the letter will immediately be visible, we take it, we return to the capital.

At the entrance to the capital, the guard will ask you to give the letter to him. We choose to give the letter to the guard or Fedel. Or we can go to The Black Cat store, make a copy of the letter, and give it to both of them.

Additional missions outside the capital

Additional tasks in Kassardis

An Innocent Man(Tomlin)

On the beach or in the house of the elder of the village we meet the boy Tomlin. He asks to find out about his father, who went to the capital, but did not return.

In the capital, we ask one of the guards at the gate to the palace, or the Flavian merchant in the central square. We learn that the father was sent to prison.

We need to take two Skeleton Keys with us (we can buy them at The Black Cat store, or combine them from Hunk of Ore and Shackles). We go to the castle, go down to the basement, open the cell with the prisoner, open the grate opposite. We bring a person through a secret tunnel into the slums. Tomlin will meet us at the exit, together they leave the city. We get 10000 gold, 6000 XP.

Farewell, Valmiro

(Requirement: A Dying of Curiocity quest must be completed)

In Kassardis we go to a wooden pier, to the left of it on a hill stands Valmiro, whom we saved earlier. Now he asks us to help him get ready for the hike. He needs to bring 4 items in turn:

1. Potent Greenwarish - mix Greenwarish herb with a bag of Sweet Pollen.

2. Lantern - we give away our extra lamp.

3. Sour Ambrosial Meat - meat can be found in one of the boxes in the Ancient Quarry cave to the west of the capital.

4. Pilgrim's Charm - the talisman is sold by the rich Furnival and the merchant Madeleine.

After receiving all the items, Valmiro will ask you to take the boxes to his boat. Quest completed.

8. Final missions
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

Deny Salvation

We learn that the enemies have occupied our farthest fortress Greatwall. We leave there, we need to get to the northwestern corner of the global map.

On the way we meet goblins, robbers, cyclops, chimeras. In one place, in the middle of the path, you need to go through a checkpoint occupied by robber girls.

Thick as Thieves

When we approach The Ruins of Heavenspeak Fort, the doors will be locked, you can enter on the left slope. Ordinary robber girls do not attack us, but if we enter the room of the Ophis leader, she will attack us, and then all her wards.

To avoid conflict, everyone in our squad must be women, and men can be disguised in women's dresses. If we manage to talk peacefully with Ophis, we will receive a quest from her.

At the gate we find the girl Betiah, she asks to feed the Cyclops - the pet Ophis. We go further to the west, behind a wooden palisade we find a non-aggressive cyclops. We kill the nearest goblin, we bring his body to the cyclops. after feeding the monster, we return to the girls, we get a reward.

We get to the Greatwall fortress. in front of the entrance we leave a teleportation stone, we buy the best weapons from the merchant.

In the courtyard we fight with two ogres. We go to the fortress, in narrow corridors we fight with necromancers. Here, illuminated bricks in the walls will come across, they can be broken if you throw a barrel of explosives at them. In one of the rooms we meet a chimera, it can be fired from a ballista standing here.

On the top platform we fight with the boss. The villain in the black hoodie summons two archlichs. Bosses fly through the air and constantly summon Skeleton Knights and Skeleton Mages. You can shoot them from a distance, but against such attacks they have a very high resistance. It is better to attack bosses with swords when they temporarily drop to the ground.

At this time, the main villain managed to climb to the top of the fortress. He summons an ancient dragon, but the dragon crushes the villain when it lands to death. We communicate with the dragon.

The Final Battle

We go to the old man Dragonforged in the Hillfigure Knoll cave. We learn from him where to look for the dragon, and how to deal with it. We get the key.

We return to the Greatwall fortress, open the dungeon with the key, and through the cave we get to a new location.

We ended up in The Tained Mountain Temple - where the prologue of the game took place. But this time, the monsters have become much stronger, and have acquired a purple hue. On the way we kill lizards, skeletons, goblins. In the large hall we fight with the Chimera. After that, we stand alternately on all 4 pressure plates, open the gate to the dragon hall.

The dragon captured our favorite character (here will be the NPC to whom we gave a special flower or ring, and if we did not express sympathy to anyone, then there will be the character with whom we last spoke).

We are given a choice:

1) leave your beloved / beloved to die, refuse to fight, but get the right to be a new duke from the dragon;

2) save your beloved / beloved, while the most difficult battle with the dragon lies ahead.

Boss: Dragon

Save the NPCs and start fighting. Soon we will have to leave the hall, we run along a narrow corridor from the dragon's fire. The boss gets stuck at the end of the corridor, we can hit his mouth. But when he releases fire, we hide behind the stones. We run outside, jump on the broken bridges between the towers. We climb to the top of the second tower, we cling to the dragon. While the dragon is flying, we crawl along the spikes on its back, get to the glowing area and hit.

The dragon throws us onto a circular plain, here the main phase of the battle begins. When the dragon takes off into the sky or sits on a high tower, we run to the edge of the location, shoot from the ballista, but the dragon destroys them very quickly.

The dragon's weak point is the glowing wound on his chest. Spells and regular shots at a painful point are ineffective. Of the pawns, archers with a sniper skill are of great help here, they take away half the health bar for each enhanced shot. We need to climb on the front legs of the monster to the chest, and hit him with a sword. In order to stay on the monster longer and not unhook, we constantly drink endurance potions. The dragon can throw us down, grabbing with his hand, dodge it in time or climb the monster again.

Having defeated the dragon, we see how the old man Dragonforged crumbles into ashes, and the duke loses his youth. Watching the credits...

9. Abyss
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Walkthrough

A warm welcome

But the game isn't over yet. We wake up in our house in Kassardis. Next to the young witch and Quina. All armor that was equipped on us during the boss fight gets maximum level qualities - Dragon Forged. In the inventory we have a unique blade Godsbane.

Notice board in Kassardis

We return to the capital, we see that the whole quarter has collapsed into the abyss. We speak with any of the guards. We go to the castle, go up to the second floor to the Duke's office.

The Duke accuses us of lying about the victory over the dragon, and begins to attack us. We easily defeat the old man, since he has lost all his strength. During the battle we get to the balcony, the guards come running to the sound. The Duke announces a chase for us. We are trying to escape from the capital. We are surrounded by a collapsed quarter. Clouds of harpies begin to fly from under the ground, and we fall down.

We find ourselves in the Everfall location, where we previously descended the spiral staircase. We are constantly falling into a bottomless abyss. It is possible to land on one of the side balconies, spending 200 health on landing (if you press the "F" key, you can land safely). And if we reach the very bottom, then we will again appear in the air and fly from the very top. Having fallen on the uppermost balcony, we can go through it into the dungeon of the guild of pawns, and from there go out into the street.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen- open world RPG game with slasher elements Devil May Cry and Dark Souls created by Capcom developers. The game was released on May 22, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PS3. On the PC, Dragon's Dogma was released on January 15, 2016 with exclusive additions.

Game development

The game was developed joint forces Capcom employees who had a hand in the games of the series resident evil , DMC and breath of fire. According to some rumors, Capcom plans to develop a continuation of the successful RPG project, immediately after the release of the PC game, but a port on the next generation XONE and PS4 consoles is not ruled out.

Game features

In Dragon's Dogma, the player is given a choice between character classes, such as Fighter, Warrior, Paladin, Assassin and others, we will try to discuss each of them in our guide if possible. Game process each of the classes is fundamentally different from each other. One of the features of the game is the distribution of roles and the giving of commands at any time during the game. Yes, you will be able to give an order to one of your squad members - AI-controlled NPCs, we could see a similar system in dragon age.

Also in the game there is a capture function, which is widely presented to us in the game Shadow of Colossus and in the unreleased Last Guardian . It features an advanced massive boss fight where you have to climb on a huge body to find a pain point on it. As soon as you make a few hits, you will have to find a few more points on other parts of the boss's body.

Dragon's Dogma boasts an open world breadth that rivals such mastodons as TES: Skyrim and Fallout. In addition to this, the cities and the paths that you have to go through are not empty, there are about 300 NPCs in the game with their own dialogues and a bunch of different functions. The player can recognize useful information from NPCs, sell and buy equipment, receive rewards, complete quests. The game has a system of a permanent world in which you have to fight off monsters at night.

The game is made in such a way that an ordinary player with not very strong knowledge of the RPG genre can figure it out. It is for such players that it is possible to hire strong NPCs to allow them to fight in their place, and the players will only have to follow the conduct of the battle, giving orders to the right and left. It will take you about 120 hours to complete the entire game, this includes the story campaign for 40-50 hours, as well as more than 80 hours to complete side quests.

In this guide you will find:

Game setup

This information will be useful to those who play with the keyboard.

Items can be assigned to keys 1-5 for quick use (only from the "Curatives" category plus Lantern. Simply select desired item and press a number.

The inventory access key (default I) when exiting the menu (using ESC) allows you to quickly save the game without going to the Save / Quit submenu.
Of course, these are obvious things, but I did not immediately notice them.

Now for the not-so-obvious things. Some keys have duplicate keys that are not marked in any way, but are more convenient than the default ones.
Enter=E
ins = ctrl
PageUp=Alt
Shift (default) allows you to change targets when casting spells.
Caps Lock - switch between walking and jogging

In addition, I personally found it convenient to reassign the inventory from "I" to "Tab". Thus, all control is concentrated under the left hand.

Of the other settings, over time, I wanted to turn off keyboard hints (they are remembered quickly, but take up a decent piece of the screen) and the cinematic camera (which at the most inopportune moment focused on a pawn that was lucky enough to grab someone there).

Character Creation

Unlike many other games where the appearance of the hero does not affect anything, in DD already at this stage there are a couple of parameters that have the most direct impact on gameplay.

Growth

The higher the hero, the:
  • more than his weight
  • longer than his legs and speed of movement (but not sprinting)
  • longer than his arm and wider swing of the weapon (greater radius)
  • a lantern hangs higher and you can go deeper into the water without extinguishing it
It is easier for tall heroes to jump to high ledges (not verified?), and low ones can slip between the legs of some giant monsters (such as cyclops) and penetrate into places with a low ceiling.

This is one of the key parameters. The weight of the hero determines his physique, and it in turn affects a number of parameters.
Character weight Addition Stamina recovery Stamina costs Movement speed Knockdown resistance Carried weight (max)
< 50 кг very light 18 sec 110% very fast very low 40 kg
50 - 69 kg lung 19 sec 105% fast low 50 kg
70 - 89 kg average 25 sec 100% average average 65 kg
90 - 109 kg heavy 29 sec 95% low high 75 kg
> 109 kg very heavy 34 sec 90% very low very high 100 kg

The maximum carry weight, in turn, determines the limits of the character's workload. In total there are 6 degrees of workload - very light, light, medium, heavy, very heavy and overload. The more loaded the character is, the faster he spends stamina and the longer it takes to restore it. Also, workload affects the speed of the sprint.

The heavier the hero, the:

  • he has more stamina
  • larger than its size (hitbox) and the probability of catching a hit
  • better resistance to loss of balance (stagger) and knockdown (knockdown)
  • faster it activates the pressure plates
  • harder for monsters to lift it into the air
  • it’s easier for him to knock down and press the monster to the ground with his own weight
As the game progresses, there will be several ways to change the character's appearance. Cosmetic changes can be made multiple times at the hairdresser in Gran Soren (hair, make-up, etc.). You can completely change the character's appearance with the help of Art of Metamorphosis (once per game) and Secret of Metamorphosis (only available after completing the main story) items - they are sold by Johnathan in The Encampment.

Character Development - Options

There are two different levels in the game - character level and class level. Experience to increase them is given for killing monsters and completing quests. The maximum character level is 200, the maximum class level is 9.

The game has six main parameters.

  • Health (Health or HP)
  • Stamina or endurance (Stamina)
  • Strength (Strength) - increases physical damage
  • Magic (Magick) - increases magic damage
  • Protection (Defense) - protects against physical damage
  • Magic Defense - Protects against magic damage
The main parameters increase automatically when the character level increases, depending on the current class. Each class has its own increments. At the same time, they also change depending on the level - the thresholds are as follows: up to level 10, from 11 to 100 and from 101 to 200 levels. For example, here is a comparative table of increasing the main parameters by class for level 20.
Level 20 Health Stamina Strength Magic Protection Magic Defense
Fighter 37 15 4 2 4 1
Strider 25 25 3 3 3 2
Mage 21 10 2 4 1 4
Warrior 40 10 5 2 3 1
Ranger 21 30 4 3 2 2
Sorcerer 16 15 2 5 1 5
Assassin 22 27 6 2 2 1
Magick Archer 21 20 2 3 3 4
Mystic Knight 30 20 2 3 3 3

There are whole strategies - which class in which range of levels you need to play in order to get a character with an ideal set of parameters in the end. My advice - if you're playing for the first time, then play with whom you like best and how you want - get more fun. Leave the ideal characters for later playthroughs.

Character development - classes

In total, the game has 9 classes - three basic, three advanced and three hybrid. The first 10 character levels you will play as one of the main classes. After reaching level 10, the class can be changed to any other in the Gran Soren Hotel.

The choice of class affects the following:

  • the value of the increase in the main parameters when obtaining a character level
  • a set of weapons and armor that can be used
  • set of skills that can be learned
Each class has its own level, which is pumped regardless of the level of the character. When changing a class, you need to upgrade its level again, but if you return to the previous class again, then the level will be the one that was reached last time. With each new class level, new skills become available for learning. There are nine class levels in total.

Map (where additional quests are taken)

How to teleport? How to move fast in the game?

Fast travel in is carried out due to teleportation. In different places you can find low crystals sticking out of the ground. They're called Portcrystal(portal crystal) and are used a little differently than you might think. It is impossible to leave the location with the help of such a crystal, but you can move here if you use a special stone called Ferrystone (stone of movement). Open the "Tools" tab in your inventory to find those transfer stones. Use one of them to get to one of the portal crystals. After using such a crystal, it will disappear. For each fast travel, you will have to spend one crystal.

How to change class?

After you create a character, you will need to upgrade his class to level 10. Until this moment, you will not be able to change the class of your hero. Be careful! This refers to the leveling of the class, and not the level of the player himself - these are two completely different parameters.

As soon as your character is level 10, then go to the tavern "Gran Soren", in the capital. It is in this place that it will be possible to change the character class to any other.

You need to talk with the owner of the tavern and select the dialogue branch "professions". After that, select any desired class. Depending on which class you choose, changing it will cost you 1000-1500 experience points. You pay 1000 points for choosing a base class, and about 1500 points for choosing an extended class.

Remember that when you change a character's class, you leave its level at the same value. In this case, the hero will forget most of his skills. Only basic offensive skills and passive skills will remain. You will have to download your hero with a new class almost from scratch. In this case, the level of the class that you retrained (that is, the previous class) remains at the same value. That is, if you change the class in the opposite direction, then it will be the same level.

How to change appearance?

As you progress through the game, you'll get several options to change your character's appearance. Go to the capital "Gran Soren" and find a hairdresser there, where you can change the appearance of the hero in a moderate way - hairstyle, makeup, mustache, etc. If you want to change the character's appearance globally, you will have to use an item called Art of Metamorphosis (The Art of Metamorphosis). It is used once in the entire game!

On the other hand, after completing the main story campaign, you will receive the item Secret of Metamorphosis (Secret of Metamorphosis). More precisely, it will be possible to use this item, which will need to be bought by Jonathan at the location "Camp" (The Encampment).

Which class is better to choose?

To understand which class is better, you need to play for each of them. At the same time, in a particular case, for a particular player, completely different professions will be the best class, because everyone has a different playing style. For example, here is our top list of classes by their strength:

  • In ninth place mages which you shouldn't rely too much on. This class is mainly used for team healing (as a support player). Even if you have one of the strongest staffs in the game in your hands, it is pointless to attack opponents with it. It is better to use it exclusively for team support.
  • In eighth place wizards. On the one hand, the class seems to be strong, but, on the other hand, it is not without reason that it is in the eighth position in the rating. Managing a wizard is a dangerous and difficult task. For most gamers, swordsmen and dagger fighters will be closer, since it is easier to fight with their help. Wizards are best used as support fighters. The arsenal of this class is replete with impressive spells to attack. If you use the wizard as the main character, then remember the weaknesses: low mobility and minimal defense. Use the spells "Storm", "Earthquake", "Falling Meteorites".
  • In seventh place is warrior. This is a strong character, but again with a low level of mobility. High attribute values, excellent skills, the ability to knock down big opponents... This class is suitable for people who play at a low level of difficulty, who do not pay attention to small details and flaws.
  • In sixth place is fighter. Again - it remains a great option for lovers of the plot, and not serious tests. Of the main skills, it is worth noting "Dragon's Mouth" and "Divine Protection".
  • In fifth place is strider, which can be called a unique class. His strength is in bows and daggers. Do not forget about the huge number of skills. Excellent attributes will help in battles with strong opponents. High mobility of the character, use of a bow and high accuracy shots.
  • In fourth place is ranger. This is one of the best classes, but the disadvantage is the lack of a choice of skills related to wielding a dagger. The warrior is focused on long-range combat. The best option is to use a bow. Fortunately, rangers have a lot of skills for such weapons. It is best to pay attention to the skills "Crawling Arrow" and "Strong Gust". By using both of these perks, your character will be virtually invulnerable. In addition, you can kill a huge number of opponents.
  • In third place is mystical knight. The uniqueness of this class lies in the use of staves, which are not so easy to fight with. Using the skills of the character, you attack opponents directly in the area (Stone forest) or inflict remote strikes (Magic weapons). The most incomparable skill is "Dark Enchantment". It not only destroys opponents, but also increases cutting damage. The skill allows you to restore health and create impenetrable protection.
  • In second place - magic archer. Use bow and daggers. But still, the uniqueness of the class lies in the magical damage. You will have a huge variety of skills to use.
  • The best class is assassin. He can use a sword with a shield, a bow, daggers in battle. His skills are so diverse that they allow you to act as you please. Assassin equipment provides a high level of protection.

How to dodge? How to make a transition? How to do somersault?

In order for your character to dodge, you need to learn a special skill. Without it, there is no need to talk about any rifts. Go to the skill window and find a skill called Forward Roll (Roll forward). After you study it, you will have the opportunity to make rolls. The description of the skill has all the necessary information.

How to lure a griffin?

In accordance with one of the tasks, you will have to take part in the hunt for a griffin. Leave the capital, moving through the gate in the southwest, where you will meet an army of knights. Travel with them to their destination. You will see a marked place on the ground. Approach him and place the bait.

Goblin corpses are suitable as bait, which you can kill on a rock nearby. Wait for the griffin to appear and fly up to the bait. Attack him as soon as he is near the ground. If the griffin flies away, then repeat the action with the bait.

How to earn money?

So, one of the achievements of the game involves earning 10,000,000 gold. The amount is impressive, but if you know the easiest and fastest way to earn money, then there is nothing wrong with it. To get started, complete tasks until you have at least 30-100 thousand gold. Together with the starting capital, go to Kassardis. Hand over all the inventory there, free the inventories of three pawns. When all the characters are empty, go to the store (having opened the map, look for the image of the "bag" on it). Get with all the money that you have (as long as the inventory allows) a carrot.

After that, go to sleep. Sleep three times for 24 hours! A regular carrot that you buy for 75 gold will turn into a moldy carrot. Such carrots can be sold to a weapons store. The cost of a carrot will be 182 coins! Thus, you will more than double your invested money.

How to get out of prison? How to escape from prison?

If you ended up in jail while completing the Arousing Suspition quest, then wait for the duchess to come to you. She will apologize and hand over the key. Use it to open the prison cell on the right side and get out of the prison.

In rare cases, when you are thrown into a cell, lockpicks remain in your inventory (if you had a huge amount of them). Use them to open the cell doors. Lockpicks can be easily and simply created from shackles and a piece of ore. Both of these items are easy to find in prison. You will need at least two lockpicks.

But the easiest way to get out of prison is to pay a bribe.

How to set the difficulty level?

The game has no difficulty levels. If you feel that you can't pass this or that location, then return to the previous one, complete side quests and other tasks to increase the level of your hero and acquire better pawns.

How to catch a thief?

In Cassaridis, you need to complete a quest related to the capture of a thief. To catch a thief, there are several options:

  1. Wait for him in the tavern. As soon as the thief opens the door, run up to him and stun him.
  2. You can try to catch him in the narrow alley that goes towards the church. Wait for the thief around the corner. He will return this way.
  3. By the way, chasing him is completely optional. You can attack when he runs past you. Don't be afraid: hit him 1-2 times to knock him down.
  4. The Strider can perform a quick lunge to attack the enemy. So you hurt the thief, but not kill.

How to heal pawns?

To heal pawns, you must move the potion to the inventory of the selected companion and use it from there. But the easiest way is to treat the entire squad at the same time, using special potions that can be found in locations or bought from merchants. Here are the names of some potions: "Soft perfume", "Mineral water", "Beer grass".

How to get wakestone?

Wakestone is a stone that allows you to revive the main character of the game. To collect one such stone, you will need to find three of its fragments, which are called Wakestone Shard.

At a certain point in the game, you will have a quest, according to which you will need to collect 20 wakestones (stones). So you will need to jump into a huge hole located in the city. At the same time, during the fall, cling to the ledges. After that, clear the dungeon and collect the required number of fragments (or stones).

How to get ore?

There are a huge number of mines in the mountains. Just buy a trigger from a merchant and go in search of mines. You won't have to search long!

How to sleep?

You can rest in the bed of your home. The fact is that night is the most dangerous time of day in the game. You must plan your journey so that you are in your bed before nightfall. On the other hand, you can take risks if your character and pawn levels allow it.

There are two camps where you can rest (sleep). One is up north to the right of the path leading to the Griffin Tower. The second camp is located in the part of the map where the thieves guild is. Right next to the lake!

What color are the main tasks?

In this case, we are probably talking about markers of various NPCs that you will meet in the game. They can be of the following colors:

  • Green - the character has a task for you.
  • Red - this character must be talked to to advance the storyline, he has information or a story quest for you.
  • Yellow - the character is associated with one of the quests in progress.
  • Blue - you need to talk to this character in order to complete the quest, which you have almost completed (it remains to turn in the quest).

How to run fast?

A character's movement is affected by his class, workload, and equipment. It is clear that a fighter in heavy armor will move much more slowly than an assassin. You can increase the speed of movement by reducing the inventory, as well as by using passive skills related to leg strength.

Useful guides

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - role-playing game from Capcom, which four years after the console release got to the PC. It's no secret that it is very reminiscent of another Japanese action game - Monster Hunter, where you also had to fight massive monsters. But to become an excellent hunter in Dragon’s Dogma, it’s not enough just to improve your skills and rely on dexterity, you also need strong equipment. Where to find it and how to get it, I will tell you a little more.

There are plenty of armor sets in the game for every taste and color, but you can only get the best of them during the second playthrough, however, there are several options that will come in handy during the first. But before talking about them, it is worth explaining about the pumping system in the game:

  • any armor can be upgraded
  • this is done in two shops where they sell weapons: in a shop Caxton, on the Fountain Square in Gran Soren and in the store Matthias in the camp Greatwall, which is at the most northwestern point of the map
  • each item has three ranks marked with stars
  • to increase the rank, you need special items and the amount that they ask for an upgrade
  • after the third level, armor can only be improved by tempering the dragon with fire ( dragonforge), for this you need to kill the dragon in the set of armor that you want to temper, and it must already be improved by at least one star (but more often more is required)
  • since the PC version immediately includes the Dark Arisen add-on, you will have access to two additional levels of pumping - this Silver and Gold, the system is the same as with the first three stars, but they are bought not for gold, but for Rift Crystals and only one merchant - Barroca ( barroch), which appears where it pleases, and at the same time are superimposed only on those sets that have already been tempered

To avoid confusion, I will specify the values for level zero and Dragonforge.

Chimeric Armor Set

- analogue of Crimson ( Crimson Armor Set) set, which is one of the most durable in the game. This set can be purchased during the first playthrough from Caxton (after accepting the quest Deny Salvation) or find almost all parts except boots in chests Soulflayer Canyon, and some parts may be in ruins Bluemoon Tower.

Zero level:

  • protection: 190
  • fire resistance: +5%
  • poison resistance: +29%
  • sleep resistance: +33%
  • the weight: 14.73
  • protection: 252
  • fire resistance: +18%
  • cold resistance: +13%
  • lightning resistance: +13%
  • poison resistance: +108%
  • sleep resistance: +88%
  • the weight: 11.06
  • Strength +9
  • Magic +5

This set is best for Warriors or Mystic Knights due to its heavy weight, but you need to be aware that the armor has a very low level of protection against magic (especially in the early stages).

The right weapon would be Steel Urchin- a huge mace studded with formidable spikes. Its initial damage is 287, but increases to 441 with Dragonforge. Sold by Caxton after quests Griffin's Bane and "Trials and Tribulations", before the task "Reward and Responsibility".

Gryphic Armor Set

- very heavy and extremely durable armor for fighters, warriors and mystical knights, but, like the previous one, it loses in protection against magic, although to a lesser extent.

Zero level:

  • protection: 182
  • fire resistance: −9%
  • lightning resistance: +12%
  • blind resistance: +8%
  • the weight: 15.18
  • protection: 250
  • fire resistance: +10%
  • lightning resistance: +31%
  • blind resistance: +32%
  • immobility resistance: +114%
  • shock resistance: +30%
  • the weight: 11.39

Bonuses: No

Individual parts of this set can be sold by vendors: Caxton, Matthias, Alon near the ancient quarry and Joyce in Devilfire Grove. They can also be found in chests. Bluemoon Tower.

This kit also comes with a sword. Gryphic Victory, initial damage - 368, Dragonforge - 526. There is a small chance to find it on top of the Greatwall during the battle with two Courageous (Wights). After the victory, the roof will collapse and the chest will disappear, so I recommend saving before the battle so that you can try several times. There is another way: it is enough to establish good relations with Sir Bernie ( Ser Berne), which is located in one of the first locations ( Encampment), then he will give a quest, the reward for completing which will be this sword.

Holy (Raptor) Armor Set

- in fact, these are two types of the same armor, they look the same, they differ only in color, so you can easily make one of them if any part is missing. They are suitable for all variations of the magician.

Holy Armor Set: torso and hood can be found in dungeon chests Everfall, which you somehow get into, the cloak may be among the treasures The Tainted Mountain Temple, which can only be reached through the Greatwall. The bracelets can end up inside the Greatwall in a chest located in the corner of the small room before going up to the second floor.

Raptor Armor Set: a caftan worn under armor that has better resistance against the elements. Can only be bought from Caxton after completing the first quest "Wyrm Hunt", before meeting with Duke and completing the quest "Come to Court". Pants for this set can be obtained in the same place, after quests Griffin's Bane and "Trials and Tribulations", before the task "Reward and Responsibility". Leggings can be exchanged for gold or silver idols Madeleine(in Encampment or Gran Soren, depending on the stage of passage). The helmet can be found in Greatwall or Soulflayer Canyon chests, or bought from Caxton if you accept the quest Deny Salvation You can also buy gloves from him. Cloak is found at Fournival in Gran Soren if you complete the quest "Trials and Tribulations" in his favor.

The best staff in the game - Dragons Risen on the first playthrough, it is very difficult to get it, if you are lucky with a tight wallet, you can look at Delek in Everfall. Otherwise, pay attention to the quest "Mettle Against Metal"(you must first open access to Witchwood), as a reward for completing it, you will be given Stagnant Surge, he has not very high physical damage (zero level - 46, Dragonforge - 65), but increased magic (zero level - 340, Dragonforge - 486).

Chaos Armor Set

- sinister black armor, which, for all its shortcomings, looks badass, emitting a faint dark haze. It will not protect you from fire and other magical effects, but it will make you look like anime characters.

Zero level:

  • protection: 81
  • fire resistance: −13%
  • cold resistance: −13%
  • lightning resistance: −13%
  • resistance to sacred powers: −13%

An excellent addition to the armor will be a weapon resembling an ax - Dragon's Flight, whose blades are the spread wings of a dragon, its initial damage is 113, Dragonforge - 400. It is bought there, in the Black Cat. Plus, she deals additional damage to the dragon: + 50% - in the body, + 100% - in the heart.

Light Iron Armor Set

- the best option for archers, except for the Twilight Armor Set, which can only be obtained after passing. It does not look very pretentious, but it protects well even at the zero level.

Zero level:

  • protection: 134
  • sleep resistance: +29%
  • cold resistance: +1%
  • lightning resistance: −2%
  • Ability Block Resistance: +7%
  • the weight: 5.51
  • protection: 177
  • sleep resistance: +116%
  • cold resistance: +6%
  • fire resistance: +5%
  • Ability Block Resistance: +64%
  • the weight: 4.14

Bonuses: No

You can buy all parts together or separately in stores: Caxton, Matthias, Alan or Joyce.

Blades can be a good addition Kunai, with an initial damage of 171 and Dragonforge of 244, but the darkness damage is added to this. The only problem is the low chance of finding them, they can be found in Greatwall chests, can be bought from Madeleine's shop (if you give her the Golden Idol in the quest Supplier's Demand). But if you do not have the desire to mess with the search, then the solution may be Divine Razors(zero level - 143, Dragonforge - 283), which can be obtained during the quest bad business. Or maybe you are very lucky, then you will get Heaven's Key(level zero - 258, Dragonforge - 345) after you defeat Ur-Dragon.

Emissary Armor Set

- an option for those who want to look not just like a piece of metal, but also who are too lazy to run around the shops. All parts of this set can be found in the Black Cat without too much fuss, but you will have to lay out a lot. The main disadvantage of this armor is its low elemental resistance.

Zero level:

  • protection: 67,
  • fire resistance: −13%,
  • cold resistance: −13%,
  • resistance to sacred powers: −13%,
  • darkness resistance: −13%,
  • lightning resistance: +21%,
  • the weight: 6.14.
  • protection: 187
  • lightning resistance: +54%
  • immobility resistance: +102%
  • Ability Block Resistance: +84%
  • other effects are unchanged
  • the weight: 4.60

Bonuses: No

While wearing this armor, you can also use blades, but if you prefer archery, then the best option is Fey Whisper, whose starting damage is 336, Dragonforge is 433, this bow is sold by Joy in Everfall.
