Within a profile, you can completely remap all buttons, up to recording long macros, and save two sensitivity settings. Personally, for some games I would like to have three sensitivities at hand at once. For example, War Thunder: high CPI for the game menu, medium for tank control and the lowest for jewelry aiming. For Dota, of course, two settings are enough.
After a day of getting used to, I completely switched from Logitech G5 to SteelSeries Rival Dota 2 Edition and immediately fell in love with the rubber sides and large wheel. I already had a profile for Dota in SteelSeries Engine, but I have my own atmosphere here, so after the reassignment, I went to check Doom with a new gift sword. At the moment, I'm discovering a tinker for myself, but I'm cool about doom, although his help in ganking is often invaluable. Bind the Doom ability on one additional key (turns off the enemy hero from the battle for 15 seconds, even his passive abilities), on the second Devour (sharpen the creep for breakfast), run to farm, wait for a successful gank.
After the first test game I tweaked the CPI to the usual 2400. Since with such sensitivity the mouse travels very small distances on the surface, the manipulator must lie very confidently in the hands - even the hand almost does not move, all manipulations are at the level fine motor skills fingers. Already in the second game, I returned to the regular rhythm of the game, ran to swing, and after about twenty minutes I felt very confident with the Doom ability under my thumb. As the game progressed, it became clear that the mouse could not be held in a completely relaxed grip with just the fingertips. My palm is not small, but Riva Dota 2 Edition be healthy. By the evening I go online to Battlefield 4. For me personally, the button travel seemed a bit too big, which did not bother me at all in DotA, but for some reason it was noticeable in Battlefield.
We are going to steer the Tiger 2 and Panthers in War Thunder. Instead of three sensitivity settings, I had to limit myself to two - medium for the main game and low for aiming. When aiming through the tank's optics at in-game distances of more than a kilometer, every pixel matters. The previous mouse “jumped” even at low sensitivity, which was very unnerving, since two pixels left and right, and instead of a frag, the projectile ricocheted safely.
