Life is Strange characters: Max Caulfield, Chloe Price, Victoria Chase, Nathan Prescott. Latest news on the game Life is Strange Characters from life is strange in English

Chloe Price

"I doubt my abilities are permanent, Chloe."
"Well, okay ... But we are eternal,"
- Max and Chloe in the episode "Out of Time".

Chloe- a stubborn, mischievous and rebellious girl. She is a typical punk rocker, which is reflected in her musical taste and appearance. Likes to smoke weed and drink beer. She can be described as bold and friendly. The girl draws well, understands technology, it is not a problem for her to fix a broken car. She is left handed. He likes to take risks, because of which he often gets into trouble. At Chloe, however, is a rather caustic character, due to which more than once in the entire game you can hear sarcastic, caustic comments and funny phrases flavored with obscene language from her. Sometimes she has outbursts of anger, and because of a series of tragic losses (the death of her father, Max moving to Seattle and the disappearance of Rachel Amber), it is difficult for her to trust other people. Bad experience Chloe also made her pessimistic and offended by life, convinced that there are no people who need her and who can be trusted.

Sometimes she is not sensitive to the emotions of others, which makes her seem selfish. Besides, Chloe- a possessive nature, wanting the attention of loved ones to be directed to her. She can also be irrational and irresponsible, leading to situations in which Chloe blames everyone but herself and takes no responsibility for the damage she caused. It comes to the point that Chloe blames his dead father for his suffering. However, sometimes Chloe accepts his guilt and apologizes for his mistakes. Max is aware of her friend's shortcomings, but still holds her in high regard and considers her "a good friend who always shows up at the right moment." Chloe in her own way, she protects those who are dear to her, she is very devoted to her loved ones, whom she serves as a faithful companion, although she tends to be very attached and obsessive. In romantic affairs, she is quite simple, likes to tease and tease. Despite the seemingly rough appearance, Chloe- fragile and vulnerable girl; her rebellious behavior may be nothing more than a simple front put up to protect herself from the harsh reality.

It is likely that Chloe suffers from depression caused by the loss of loved ones and loneliness. She also has trouble sleeping, and prior to Max's return, she had suicidal thoughts. Then the phrase Chloe"Rachel saved me" can literally mean that Rachel saved Chloe from suicide.

Chloe also shows signs of a personality disorder, judging by her issues with trust and loneliness. During a conversation with Max in "Chaos Theory", she reveals that she is stressed and suffers from various fears inherent in people suffering from BPD.

Chloe often drinks alcohol and smokes. She has had drug problems in the past, as evidenced by her stepfather's comment about weed and a heavy debt to drug dealer Frank Bowers. And although Chloe was smart enough for Blackwell, as shown in the school report of the alternative Chloe, the girl abandoned the account. All destructive traits Chloe, including rebelliousness with local authorities and family, drug abuse, and loss of control over her own life (which led her to chaos and lack of scholastic and professional ambitions, as well as denial of responsibility), may be associated with the girl's depression. With this lifestyle Chloe copes with despair, fills the void inside and relieves pain. In addition, the inability to empathize can also be associated with bereavement and progressive depression.

During the time spent with Max, personality Chloe develops, the girl finds new strength in supporting her friend and their newly resurgent friendship. In the course of history Chloe shows new positive side of her character, caring and courageous. At the end of the game, the girl confesses her own selfishness towards her family and offers to sacrifice herself to save the city, as she believes that the price of her life is too high and her family, friends and other ordinary residents of the city do not deserve to die from a hurricane.

Chloe's appearance:

Chloe- punk. She wears light blue ripped jeans with suspenders, black boots, and a white skull t-shirt. On the neck Chloe an unchanging necklace, which is a chain with three shells on it. Sometimes the girl wears a black leather jacket and a blue hat.

On the right hand Chloe sleeve tattoo consisting of intertwining flowers, butterflies and a yellow skull. Dyed hair Chloe fade from purple to blue at the tips.

Pajamas Chloe consists of light blue shorts and a loose black T-shirt with a picture of a chicken and the word "Rock" on it.

young Chloe He wears light blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt with the Arcadia Bay lighthouse on it. Her hair is straight and long, light brown in color.

Entries about Chloe in Max's diary:

"There she is, Chloe Price. What will you say to your friend after five years of silence? Finding out you saved her life? NOTHING. I feel guilty that we didn't communicate. I can't imagine what it's like for Chloe to experience this again. She looks so familiar, and at the same time seems like a completely different person. She's grown up, and it doesn't look like we're only a year apart in age.

I love her blue hair and punk clothes. She became a rebel. By the way, she still looks like a pirate. In particular, on what is preparing to dive. I know she's still mad at me - her body language betrays her. I'm glad I still see the old one in her Chloe. Or should I say young? She is still worried about the death of her father, and this is not surprising. Those were terrible times for Chloe and Joyce.

I'm so sick of not messing with Chloe after so many years, only because she was afraid of her reaction. Speaking of grief - it's clear to a fool that she got involved in the dark dealings of Nathan Prescott. I have no idea what's going on between them, but I'm sure I'll figure it out, whatever it is."

Chloe Price: ch2

Behind the scenes on Chloe:

Chloe and Max grew up together in Arcadia Bay, where they were best friends, played pirates at home or in the woods, and dreamed of future adventures.

Also at Chloe was the cat Bongo, who died in 2008.

In 2008, Max was at home with Chloe when the latter's father died in a car accident. And although Max supported her friend in every possible way, she was forced to move with her family to Seattle, leaving Chloe deal with loss alone. After everything experienced, before smiling and cheerful Chloe became a lonely and depressed teenager, resentful of Max and her father. Later, in 2010, mother Chloe Joyce married David Madsen, a war veteran and head of security at Blackwell Academy, with whom Chloe a very tense relationship developed. It was from this moment that the rebellious nature of the girl began to manifest itself, she began to hang out with bad guys, take drugs and run away from home to her shelter in the landfill. More and more Chloe began to lose faith in Arcadia Bay and wanted to leave her hometown as soon as possible. Her emotional state began to take physical shape, the girl became a punk rocker. Chloe got into trouble more than once, which earned her a bad reputation with the city police.

Around 2010 Chloe attended Blackwell Academy, where she found the support of Rachel Amber and struck up a strong friendship with her. Chloe's student files show that she had a GPA of 2.7, was involved in bullying, and was expelled three years before Max started at Blackwell. Prior to Rachel's disappearance and the start of the game, the girls planned to run away to California together.

Chloe originally had long, light brown hair, which she then cut off. During her stay at Blackwell, the girl began to dye them: at first, small sections, as seen in the photo on her birthday with David and her photo in the student case, and after Chloe dyed her hair completely blue. She also has tattoos and piercings.

In the new timeline that Max created in Chaos Theory, it would seem that the history of the previous punk rocker Chloe has been erased. Here she is chained to a wheelchair, which helps her not only move, but also breathe. Chloe found herself in this position after a car accident that occurred in 2011 after William bought his daughter a car. On the road, Chloe was cut off by an SUV, and the girl crashed, breaking her spine, which left Chloe paralyzed. Also, Chloe has big problems with the respiratory system, and the situation is only getting worse. According to her doctor, respiratory arrest is inevitable. Her parents decided not to tell Chloe about this, ignoring the doctor's advice. Chloe, however, understands perfectly what is happening, having once heard a conversation between her parents and a doctor while she was pretending to be asleep.

At heart, she is still a punk: the girl visits the sites of local rock concerts, reads magazines related to punk music and the style of this subculture. Chloe has an old spiked bracelet on her desk that reminds her of the old Chloe.

Chloe calls herself a nerd, and she also had a solid five before the accident. We know that Chloe was unable to attend the history department at Blackwell as it is not accessible for people with disabilities. Principal Wells suggested that Chloe's parents transfer to another school, as shown in a letter dated August 8, 2011.

In this timeline, Chloe collects snow globes. She also likes soft toys, Chloe has high-tech equipment for online communication in her room. Here, the walls in the girl's room are no longer scribbled, as Chloe can't even get out of bed. Chloe admits that she sometimes deliberately rebels against her parents so that they yell at her instead of being treated like a child. She is unhappy that she cannot go to parties and does not get into problems with her parents, like normal teenagers. Pictures of angels with the words "faith" suggest that Chloe and her parents do not give up hope and may even turn to religion in difficult times for them.

Chloe doesn't blame anyone for her current state, although she has every right to. She is not angry with her parents or Max, Chloe is glad that she is alive and that she has her parents by her side who look after her.

Chloe's personal items:

Pickup Truck - Chloe has an old brown pickup truck decorated with stickers. There is a dummy singer with a microphone on the dashboard, and fluffy cubes hang on the rear-view mirror. She used the money she stole from Nathan to fix him.

Pistol (optional) - at the beginning, Chloe will confirm that she stole his gun from her stepfather David for self-defense from enemies. In the second episode, with the help of Max, she practices shooting with it. A little later in the episode, Frank can pick up (don't shoot) or don't pick up (shoot) the gun. If Frank still took the gun, then Max can return it when he gets into his trailer. The gun can also be obtained in the fourth episode by taking it from Nathan Prescott if you let Warren beat him up.

Key ring - In the third episode, Chloe stole a key ring from her stepfather. She will try to use the key to break into his office, but the required key will not be there.

Lockpicks - Before the game even started, Chloe stole the lockpicks from Frank, which she used with little success to open the door to Principal Wells' office.

Bracelet - Throughout the game, Chloe constantly wears her bracelet. In episode 5, Max, before using the photo to save Chloe from Jefferson, the bracelet is on the table in the dark room. Max expresses his desire to save Chloe one last time he looks at him.

Mobile phone - like Max, Chloe has mobile phone to keep in touch with friends and family through messages.

Chloe Price: ch3

Spirit animal and symbolism:

Chloe is associated with several flowers. Her clothes are dominated by black and white colors, which are associated with death; Chloe faces death several times throughout the game, but Max rewinds time and saves her friend. At the very beginning of the game, Nathan's bullet hit right in the skull on Chloe's T-shirt. The image of the skull is closely related to Chloe's interests, and also serves as a reminder of death. Many of Chloe's T-shirts feature skulls, and even Chloe's sleeve contains a skull.

Chloe is also associated with the color red. Her tattoo has a red ribbon that weaves the image together. Red is associated with anger, aggression and tragic events. The connection between red and Chloe is immediately visible: her anger towards the family, the problems of loneliness, as well as her own deaths and drug addiction. Red is also associated with wealth. The red ribbon on the tattoo may represent Hloe's lust for money and her debt to Frank.

And the last color that Chloe is associated with is the blue color of her hair, eyes and nail polish. It reflects insecurity and longing for the future. The blue color in Chloe's life is her emotional vulnerability due to being cut off from her family and hoping to be reunited with Rachel. This also applies to the blue butterfly that appears during Chloe's first NDE and at her funeral in the "Sacrifice Chloe" ending.

Alternate Chloe's T-shirt is adorned with blue splashes to match her breathing apparatus. And here you can draw a parallel between the heroine and the color: Chloe is vulnerable and can die, but she hopes to last days with Max. Also noticeable is the red color as a symbol of the tragic outcome after an accident.

Chloe's clothing, as well as the motifs of her tattoos and T-shirts, carry a lot of symbolism that applies to Chloe.

In the second episode, Chloe wears a buffalo skull T-shirt. As a rule, buffaloes symbolize sacredness, life, gratitude, abundance and great power. It is believed among different tribes that a buffalo in a dream means helping someone who is having a hard time now. With only a buffalo skull on Chloe's T-shirt, the meaning of the symbols could change drastically. In combination with the symbolism of death, a T-shirt print can mean the loss of oneself and hope for a better future.

In one part of the final episode, Chloe is wearing a T-shirt with an image of Ouroboros - a snake or dragon devouring its own tail. It symbolizes the cycle of life: something is destroyed in order to be renewed, order among chaos, creation and destruction, life and death. In addition, it means eternity, constant renewal and the soul of the world.

Chloe's necklace with three bullets could mean Chloe's three deaths from bullets (in the women's room in Chrysalis, from Mr. Jefferson in the Dark Room, and accidentally shooting herself in the junkyard in Out of Time; or the last one will be considered the one that happened in the bathroom at the "sacrifice Chloe" ending). Also, the necklace can mean the absence of relatives from Chloe: William, her father, who died in an accident, Max, who moved from Arcadia Bay to Seattle, and Rachel, who suddenly disappeared without saying a word.

On Chloe's tattoo, you can see blue butterflies (plus, a chrysalis and newly emerged butterflies), a frayed red ribbon, a yellow skull, thorns, and red tropical flowers that look like hibiscus.

Tropical flower tattoos are suitable for both men and women. The symbolic symbol of the hibiscus is delicate beauty or being absorbed by love.

Chloe's spirit animal has not been confirmed by the developers. On the one hand, at the moment of Chloe's death, a blue butterfly appears in the toilet, which is closely related to her character. Butterfly - a symbol of transformation; a person identified with this totem animal can bring joy and bliss; these people are alive and bright, sometimes going through various personal transformations. The butterfly can be a symbol that life needs to be brightened up and a little more color added to it. This strongly resembles Chloe, who has gone through many personality changes. Even with a gun at her stomach, the girl noticed a blue butterfly at the beginning of the game. In addition, the butterfly is a symbol of the soul and immortality, which can be associated with Max, who always saves Chloe. Moreover, the blue color is associated with this butterfly and Chloe herself. There is also a poster of a blue butterfly in the alternate Chloe's empty room (although this may just be a reference to the butterfly effect). Max's only diary entry in her nightmare has a drawing of a butterfly with Chloe's head, foreshadowing a choice to come.

On the other hand, her animal could be the blue jay. Native Americans have a legend about the character Blue Jay, a good-natured guy who wants to help the world but can't. He also loves to play pranks. It certainly has to do with Chloe's personality.

Blue Jay often travels to the land of the dead, which is related to how often Chloe dies, with the motives and colors of death. Blue Jay finds rest in death, because only after disappearing from the world of the living, he was able to appreciate the land of the dead. This may symbolize the end of Chloe's emotional suffering after death, and possibly the end of physical suffering in an alternate timeline (it may also be a hint that Chloe must die in order for the entire city to survive).

The blue jay often dies in the game and Max is able to save it. In "Chrysalis" in Joyce's bedroom, in "Chaos Theory" on the first floor of Madsen's house, and again in "Dark Room", the player can save the blue jay or not. This may be due to Max being forced to save Chloe and ultimately decide whether to sacrifice her.

Chloe's name comes from ancient Greek mythology, being an alternative name for the goddess of agriculture and fertility, spring and animals, Demeter, and is also associated with young, green foliage and plant shoots. Demeter was especially revered for her power over air and water from the historical times of Arcadia - a utopian, untouched, harmonious desert that could be the basis of Arcadia Bay. She also presided over the sacred law, the cycle of life and death, which may be a reference to Chloe's frequent deaths and her resurrection with the help of Max. She was known as the "goddess of the blissful afterlife", which may be related to the world of animal spirits. Chloe is the name of spring and symbolizes new growth, which is a reference to Chloe's spiritual growth. This biblical name is also mentioned in the New Testament.

Her last name, Price, can literally mean the price Max pays for using her abilities, even if she uses them for the benefit of people. However, if Max chooses to sacrifice Arcadia Bay to save Chloe, the latter will become her "prize" as Max wins her friendship and love for the rest of her life.

Rachel Amber

Rachel's personality:

Rachel Dawn Amber (born July 22, 1994) is one of the main characters in Game Life is Strange, although it does not appear in it, but in the prequel Before the Storm.

Based on information gathered in Arcadia Bay, she was one of the most popular students at Blackwell Academy. She and Chloe Price were very close and dreamed of leaving Arcadia Bay together. Rachel went missing on April 22, 2013 without any mention of her whereabouts.

Rachel is 165 cm tall and weighs 50 kg. She had light blond hair, hazel eyes, and two tattoos: a dragon on her right calf and a star on the inside of her left wrist. This information can be found from the posters hung everywhere.

Rachel's character is a mystery, because no one talks about her unambiguously. But everyone knew for sure that she was a very popular and sweet girl who did not obey the rules. She often hung out, took drugs and loved punk rock, like Chloe, which was expressed in her clothing style and musical taste. Joyce affectionately called her "restless", while Chloe considered her her "Angel". Nathan, on the contrary, claims that she "dabbled in drugs." According to Chloe, Rachel was also smart and had a passion for art and photography, similar to Max. Considering her school performance and the efforts she made to become a model, Rachel was a very ambitious person. She seemed to be caring, judging by how much the people close to her loved her. The girl was more feminine than her best friend Chloe, this can be seen at least in her love for cosmetics and the desire to become a model. However, there are also rumors around town that Rachel is sexually promiscuous, which is confirmed by some of the graffiti. A letter from her to Chloe indicates that she may have slept with "snobs" from the Cyclone Club: Nathan Prescott, Zachary Riggins, and so on. It is also implied that she used Frank Bowers to help her get drugs more easily.

Entries about Rachel in Max's diary:

What happened to Rachel Amber? No matter how calm and secluded life in the Academy is, even here the harsh reality makes itself felt. All these flyers about the missing person - they are plastered all over the walls of the campus. She used to be quite a popular student here at the Academy, but she just disappeared six months ago. I like her photo on the flyer. She looks like a fashion model on it.
What actually happened? Maybe she just ran away from home? I really hope so. I can't imagine what her parents had to do. It's a pity, but even in a place as quiet as Blackwell, there's no escape from reality.

Behind the scenes on Rachel:

Rachel represented Blackwell Academy and was successful and popular with students and faculty. With an outstanding GPA of 4.0, she was considered the quintessential Blackwell persona by Principal Wells and excelled in both teaching and extracurricular activities.

She wanted to work in international law and fashion and was ambitious enough to make her dreams come true.

In 2010, she met Chloe Price as both were students at the academy and soon became very close friends. Rachel helped Chloe get through a difficult time after her father's death and her mother's remarriage. Most of the time they spent in a shelter in a junkyard. They even planned to leave the city for Los Angeles, California.

Rachel was involved with the city's drug dealing and was in a relationship with Frank Bowers, which she kept secret from Chloe. Rachel left Frank after he laid hands on her.

As seen in the memos from Provost Wells' office, Rachel was accused by Nathan and David Madsen of drug dealing. In turn, Rachel claimed that David followed her and took pictures. Wells did not take the allegations of either side seriously. The Arcadia Bay Police Department reports that David caught Rachel with "banned substances" on school grounds.

Files in David's laptop show that he did indeed investigate her for some time prior to her disappearance. In addition, they reveal that at least a week before Rachel disappeared, she stopped going to the academy and dated Frank.

Rachel was a popular member of the Cyclone Club and regularly attended their parties. She was last seen probably on March 28, a month before disappearing on April 22 after meeting someone who "changed her life."

After an indeterminate amount of time, the Arcadia Police Department closed her case and even her parents lost hope of finding her. Only Chloe did not give up and posted missing notices throughout the city.

Spirit animal and symbolism:

There has been some debate in the community about who Rachel's spirit animal really is. Some believe that this is a doe, since it often appears in the landfill, and in the second episode it stands exactly at the place where Rachel is buried. In Episode 4, a doe watches Max and Chloe as they dig up the ground where Rachel is buried. The doe then disappears, as if Rachel's spirit had calmed down when her body was found. It was confirmed in the developer comments that “the doe is inextricably linked to Rachel. It's actually Rachel's spirit that Max helps."

Rachel is also associated with the blue butterfly. In Native American culture, the butterfly is a symbol of joy and change. She was incredibly popular in Blackwell, Chloe even says that anyone could fall in love with her. Everyone knows Rachel as the one who shared joy with everyone and supported anyone who needed it. Butterfly is a symbol of those who are going through or have gone through changes. Rachel is a huge change for Arcadia Bay. She not only wanted to change her place of residence by moving to Los Angeles, her disappearance shocked many. She also made changes to the dark room, becoming the only known victim to be killed by the suspects.

In some cultures, butterflies are also guides or messengers from the land of the dead. This theory is inextricably linked to Rachel, because if the butterfly is Rachel's spirit, then it was she who changed the events in the toilet and it was she who helped Max realize the power of time.

Rachel had a dragon tattoo on her left calf. The dragon symbol is associated with fame, reputation and career, as well as perseverance and strength. All of these qualities apply to Rachel. Also the dragon symbol embodies.

Mark Jefferson

“Seriously, I can catch any of you in a dark corner and capture a moment of despair.”
— Mark Jefferson in Chrysalis.

Jefferson's personality:

Mark Jefferson (born April 11, 1975) is a photography teacher at Blackwell Academy and the main antagonist of Life is Strange. He is a very famous photographer and widely recognized artist throughout America, who achieved popularity in the 90s. Initially presented as an interesting and good teacher who is admired by all students, including Max, Mark later appears as the main antagonist of Life is Strange. Throughout the game, Jefferson was directly or indirectly responsible for the (potentially) deaths of a total of 7 characters.

Jefferson is the archetype of the psychopath.

Outwardly, Jefferson appears as a charismatic and charming person, an active and passionate photographer and teacher. He seems to care about his students' work, encouraging them all to enter a contest called Hero of the Day. The competition is designed so that the winner can achieve great progress in their future career. But he only seems to care about work, looks, photography, and the competition because, unlike everyone else, Jefferson is not at all interested in Kate Marsh's problems in the second episode, which shows him as a very insensitive and callous person.

Looks like Jefferson is wary of one of his flirtatious students, Victoria. Despite her increased flirting, which becomes very clear in Chaos Theory, Jefferson rejects the girl. This is probably due to his mania for innocence.

In fact, Mark Jefferson is a cold man, spitting on others and only caring about capturing the "innocence" frame. Obsessed with this idea, he is ready to kill anyone who dares interfere with his plans; He will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Mark is also ready to manipulate other people, but on the condition that they remain silent. He appears to be planning his atrocities in advance; this, combined with his intelligence and cunning, allowed him to continue his crimes without being caught.

Alternative timeline:

Here we do not meet him directly, but we can see that there is still a photograph of him in Blackwell, and perhaps in alternative version he is also involved in the disappearance of Rachel Amber, because she is also missing and most likely dead.

Like Max, Jefferson's camera used in the game has a real-life counterpart. It is a medium format SLR camera from the Swedish company Victor Hasselblad Hasselblad H5D. The approximate cost of which is $ 35,000.

Victoria Chase

Power-hungry Victoria does not like to recognize in herself such weaknesses as friendly emotions. She is arrogantly proud of her expensive new equipment and fancy clothes, making Max jealous. Every time Max looks at her, she feels like Victoria is talking about her behind her back. Victoria is friends with Taylor and Courtney. Justin doesn't like Victoria because he called her a snob, and Hayden says that Victoria becomes fun when she bubbles up. One way or another, if you know it only from the side of the image of a spectacled cobra, you will not see the full picture. In Victoria, there may also be features of respect, sympathy, regret. You can’t call her two-faced, but absolutely bad too.

Max's diary entries about Victoria:

“Victoria Chase, the elite of Blackwell Academy, and a total bitch. I hate to say that. I just don't know why someone who is so rich and handsome has to be so fucking mean. Eighteen-year-olds at a prestigious academy should evolve into artists and scientists... not reality TV contestants. Victoria inflates everything into the maximum scandal. Also de facto, Victoria spends her time yelling at me in class and teasing Kate Marsh.

Seriously? I want her parents to see her in action. They would immediately cut her off from finances. But then again, she's at the Cyclone Club, and they seem to own the school, so maybe that's why she doesn't care.

Worse, she knows art and photography. She can even pronounce all those French names that I'm breaking my tongue about. Her work is a little cold, but she has a trained eye. How he's smitten with Mr. Jefferson, too, which is so obvious that I'm embarrassed for her.

She just doesn't sit on his knees. He keeps his distance. Anyone can tell she's trying to win the "Hero of the Day" contest. I'm sure it pisses her off when someone shows up she can't buy or humiliate. Ha!"

Dana Ward

"I don't need any club to be cool or be friends with someone",
— Dana Ward in the fourth episode.

Dana's personality:

Dana Ward (born July 11, 1995) is a student at Blackwell Academy. A cheerleader who lives in the Prescott dorm. Friendly to Max, maintains their relationship with Warren. She is also Trevor's girlfriend.

Dana reappears in Before the Storm, a prequel to the events of Life is Strange.

Dana is one of those characters with whom one rarely manages to reinterpret, and as a result, learn something about her. Her character is not arrogant, she is quite friendly and sociable, reasonable. Can admit mistakes and improve. Dana is a very serious and determined girl, but she knows how to have fun and loves to have fun. In her room in the second episode, a box of Halloween decorations can be seen. Apparently, she loves holidays that can be celebrated collectively.

William Price

William's personality:

William Price is the father of Chloe Price and the husband of Joyce Price (now Madsen). He died in 2008 in a car accident and his departure greatly affected his family. Chloe still misses him and blames him for leaving them alone with their mother.

William Price, until his death, lived with his wife, Joyce Price, and daughter Chloe Price in Arcadia Bay. Before the birth of the child, the couple visited San Francisco for a vacation. In 1999, Chloe was given a cat, who was named Bongo.

William was a very sociable, cheerful and family man who loved his daughter and wife, treated Max very well and was sympathetic to the amusements of his girlfriends; he also arranged various entertainments for them, such as picnics near the house. In the third episode, the details of his death are revealed - Joyce called him to pick her up from work. The man agreed and got into a car accident. This happened in 2008 (the game takes place in 2013); in the same year, Chloe's cat also dies. After his death, his family was devastated by the loss and could not recover for a long time. Chloe tells Max that Joyce still blames herself for his death, as does she.

William's camera that Chloe gave Max for last birthday is based on a Polaroid Image/Spectra model.

In the unused audio files from Episode 5, William accuses Max of letting him die again and that she did/didn't do Chloe's request. This can be considered that the developers wanted to introduce him into the scene of Max's nightmare (stealth scene), but later for some reason abandoned this idea.

Stella Hill

Her room is in sorority 217.

On the board in her room, the cipher initially says "REDRUM" with a "D" and a second "R" written
back. A reference to Stephen King's The Shining.

Her name can be found on Frank's client list. The girl is recorded under the breed "Dachshund", which indicates that she bought drugs.

Joyce Price

Joyce's personality:

Joyce Madsen (formerly Price) is the mother of Chloe Price and a longtime resident of Arcadia Bay. She is the widow of William Price, who died in a car accident. It is known that after marriage, she took her husband's surname.

Joyce works at a local diner called Two Whales. She is an excellent cook and a loving mother. They still live in the same house where Chloe spent her childhood.

She first appears in the very first episode in the final scene, where she can still be seen in the same eatery, but the player gets to know her only in the second episode.

Joyce is a strong, hardworking, loving mother. She is a kind, slightly sassy woman who can't stand Chloe's antics she has to deal with every day. Joyce wishes the best for her daughter.

Max's diary entries about Joyce:

"Talking to Joyce Price five years later is akin to meeting Chloe. The same goes for The Two Whales. The ringing of silverware and the smell of bacon takes me back to my childhood when we had breakfast with the whole family. Joyce always smiled at Chloe, even if she was mischievous. I doubt it that she still treats her antics so much, but they still tease each other like mother and daughter.
I left for Seattle shortly after William's death, and I don't know how Joyce felt about it. I'm glad she didn't take offense at my desire not to look back. I remember the last time Chloe and I saw him and wonder how often Joyce remembers that day? Such memories are beyond your control. But if I could go back, what would I do? I can only speculate how Joyce hooked up with David Madsen. They say opposites attract. She loves him, as strange as it may sound. Maybe Joyce just wanted solid ground under her feet. Too bad it didn't work out well for Chloe. I hope they do well. Joyce deserves better."

Behind the scenes:

Joyce was married to William Price. In 1993, she became pregnant with her first and only child. Joyce and William traveled to San Francisco and took a photo in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, as evidenced by the photo that Joyce keeps in his bedside table. Max remarks that Joyce has "a little altar for William", which speaks to how much Joyce misses her ex-husband. The couple raised their only child in Arcadia Bay, where their daughter then became friends with Max Caulfield, who became practically the second daughter in the Price family.

In 1999, Joyce and William bought their daughter a kitten named Bongo, who was later hit by a car.

In 2008, her husband William died in a car accident. Joyce often blames herself for her husband's death, because it was because of her that he left the house that day: she called William and asked him to come, which led to an accident. Chloe also admits that she also sometimes blames her mother for her father's untimely death.

After William's death, Joyce met David Madsen in The Two Whales and later married him, much to the disgust of her daughter, who was angry and resentful of her stepfather for trying to replace her father and being too harsh on her.

Brooke Scott

“I'm obsessed with robots, not chemistry. Give me a drone rather than a measuring cup.”
— Brooke Scott in "episode two"

Brooke's personality:

Brooke Scott is a student at Blackwell Academy. Max saw Brooke hang out with Warren and thought she was the right fit for him. She has black hair with blue and red streaks and fair skin. She also wears glasses.

Brooke reappeared in Before the Storm, a prequel to the events of Life is Strange.

Like Alyssa, Brooke keeps to herself, but seems to appreciate the company of those she considers smart enough. Student of natural sciences and mathematics.

Brook is a man of science, loves to play and read. She also enjoys going out with Warren as they share common interests. She is outspoken and sarcastic, which gives the impression of her as a bit rude, sassy and condescending girl. She can also be very jealous and project her frustration onto other people. While talking to Alice, she will warn Max to be careful when interacting with Warren and not make her jealous. Brooke is noticeably passive-aggressive when Warren is mentioned by Max. Brooke's behavior towards Max suggests that she does harbor a certain amount of jealousy over Max's closeness to Warren. It could only be because Brooke has feelings for Warren.

Taylor's personality:

Taylor Christensen is a student at Blackwell Academy. He is friends with Victoria and Courtney. With the right approach, he can be friends with Max.

Taylor herself is a rather nondescript character, albeit with a couple of minutes of her live on air. She is always waiting for Victoria and often looks like she is inseparable from her, even though she herself vehemently denies this, saying that she has her own opinion. But either she does not show it, or it completely echoes Victoria's opinion. However, Taylor would not have made such a friendship if there had not been at least some kind of return for her. Here we can say that Taylor is a little less of a "slave" of Victoria than Kourtney.

Alyssa's personality:

Alyssa Anderson is a student at Blackwell Academy. Max feels that she and Alyssa could be best friends. In each episode, Max is able to save Alyssa from misfortunes caused by other people.

Alyssa is almost always reading and has little contact with anyone. Even Victoria ignores her. It's mutual. Max feels that she and Alyssa can become good friends. But Alyssa herself does not seem to mind when people pay attention to her, although somewhere deep in her soul she is a romantic nature. She is very withdrawn and aloof from the world, even though she had a desire to join the Cyclone Club.

In an alternate timeline, in another message, when Max wins the "Hero of the Day" photo contest, he points out that Max is an adult and can tell her mother not to worry too much about Jefferson and Nathan being arrested.

In an alternate timeline, Chloe receives a card from Ryan and Vanessa wishing her well.

Little facts:

In Chrysalis, Max looks at the Thunderbirds' pennant in his room and thinks about how he misses the days when he and his father went to their games.

Also in this episode, she receives an SMS from her father congratulating her on her 18th birthday. In Max's box, you can find a general congratulation from the girl's father and mother.

In Dark Room, it is revealed that his name is Ryan.

Ryan is implied to be of Irish descent. The surname Caulfield has Irish roots, and the name Ryan is one of the most common in Ireland. And in the episode "Out of Time" Chloe mentions Max's "Irish Luck".

Juliet Watson

Juliet's personality:

Juliet Watson is a student at Blackwell Academy. Reporter for the school newspaper Blackwell's Totem, who lives in the Prescotts' dorms. She is Dana's best friend and quarterback Zachary Riggins' girlfriend.

Juliet is a persuasive and witty girl with a temperament. Unfortunately, she is quite gullible and also impulsive. Her actions are often based on a rush of emotions, and from that they can be reckless. Coupled with gullibility, it is very easy to offend her to the core.

Being popular in the Cyclone Club, Juliet interacts with Victoria, Nathan and Dana. But despite this, she criticizes its members for being overly elitist, including its chief spokesperson Victoria Chase and even Dana Ward. She even writes an article about the problem of bullying in Blackwell; it was Cyclone that caused the problem to gain new momentum, which is especially noticeable in the fifth episode, when Max reads the newspaper in the Two Whales diner. Despite this, she still feels betrayed by Victoria when she finds out that she lied to her. This shows that she trusted her much more than Dana.

Justin's personality:

Justin Williams is a student at Blackwell Academy. He is a skateboarder and Max thinks that he and his friends look really cute when they do tricks. Befriends Trevor despite disagreements over Dana Ward.

Justin is a typical skater. He is calm and even happy for Max's company when she does not expose herself as a poseur. She enjoys hanging out with her friends in Arcadia Bay and often smokes weed. It was mentioned that the guy sometimes goes to classic rock museums to admire musical instruments. When he graduates, he wants to open a skateboard shop, despite his mother's insistence that Justin should follow in his late father's footsteps and attend medical school. Justin got into skateboarding when he was a teenager and recorded his older brother's failed tricks. Through his tricks, Justin met Rachel Amber and Chloe Price, but the guy did not hang out with them often, as he always preferred Trevor's company.

Wells is a rather influential and stern personality. This is not to say that he is absolutely clean - he will not believe Maxine if she tells him about the run-in with Nathan in the toilet and weapons; in addition, he will call her parents and threaten her herself, accusing her of slander. These actions, however, are easily explained - the Prescott family finances this academy, and therefore the director has to constantly walk on the edge of a knife, on the one hand pleasing an influential family and, on the other, taking care of the well-being of the academy and its students. In most cases, he is rarely seen outside of his office.

Life Is Strange (With English It's a Strange Life is an episodic interactive film adventure video game developed by French company DontnodEntertainment and published by SquareEnix for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation4, PlayStation3, Xbox One, and Xbox360. The release took place on January 30th. The game is the second project of the Dontnod Entertainment studio. The game consists of five episodes released between January and October 2015.

At E3 2017 on June 12, 2017, a prequel to the game called Life Is Strange: Before The Storm, which was released on August 31, 2017.

On December 12, 2017, it was announced that the game will be re-released for iOS and Android mobile platforms with a modified Unreal 4 engine and interactive photo mode, with the first 3 episodes for iOS becoming available on December 14, 2017.

    Game process

Life Is Strange is a third-person graphic adventure game in the genre of interactive cinema, divided into five episodes. The game world is represented by linear locations with many characters and objects optional for interaction. The main character comments on almost every such interaction. Dialogues, like other games of this genre, have several answers. But key feature game is the player's ability to turn back time for a short period of time, which allows you to either choose the right option or open a new one. Also in the game there are elements of the quest: small puzzles tied to the use of paranormal ability to reach a certain place or get some item.

    Development

Development Life Is Strange started in April 2013 by French studio Dontnod Entertainment. The episodic format was chosen for creative reasons and due to financial constraints. Idea game mechanics, tied to the manipulation of time, came to the developers when they experimented during the development of the first game of the studio Remember Me how they wanted to make the game 's storytelling and character development stand out from other games in the graphic adventure genre . The developers themselves noted that "choice and consequence will equally play a role in the further denouement of the plot."

Jean-Maxime Maurice, one of the founders of the studio, shared that when designing the setting and creating the art style of the game, they were inspired by the Pacific Northwest (English) Russian- the western region of North America on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. In the game, the developers wanted to reproduce exactly this place, “giving nostalgia and autumn atmosphere both in color and in the world around us.” To reproduce the environment as accurately as possible, the team traveled there to take a number of photographs and sketches. They later consulted with the Google Street View team to ensure the quality of their work. Another source of inspiration for the developers was Jerome Salinger's novel The Catcher in the Rye, and the main character Max Caulfield was named after the protagonist of the novel Holden Caulfield.

Despite the presence of supernatural phenomena in the game, the developers strive for realism, so "these elements serve more as a metaphor for the internal conflict of the characters than the realities of the world there." Ignoring external differences Life Is Strange and the studio's previous game Remember Me, Maurice stated that they dealt with similar topics: memory and self-determination, and elaborated that, "if Remember Me looks at human memory from a digital perspective, Life is Strange looks more like from an analog one."

Life Is Strange- This is the second game of the studio in which the main character is a female character, which caused outrage among publishers who wanted to see a man in the place of the main character. Maurice responded that the studio had no intention of being different in this way, and that they were simply choosing what was best for the story. According to Michel Koch, the gender of the protagonist makes absolutely no difference when creating a good story.

    Plot

The first episode takes place on Monday (October 7). Max Caulfield wakes up in the night forest during a storm, not understanding what is happening. She makes her way through the thicket to the top of the cliff, where the coastal lighthouse is located. There, Max sees a giant tornado, after which the top of the lighthouse falls next to her. On this, the nightmare ends abruptly, and Max finds himself at his desk at a lecture at school. She realizes that she had a nightmare. At recess, she goes to the restroom, where she decides to take a picture of a butterfly in the very corner of the room. At this moment, a young man named Nathan Prescott enters the toilet, who is very excited and very nervous. Max hides behind a booth and watches what is happening. Then a blue-haired informal girl enters the restroom and blackmails Nathan, promising to tell everyone some secret if he does not give her money, and a conflict flares up between them. Angry, Nathan pulls out a gun and, after threatening, accidentally shoots the girl. Max jumps out of hiding late to stop him, but suddenly time starts to go backwards, and Max is back in the classroom at the moment of awakening from a nightmare. The girl understands that somehow she knows how to manage time. After testing his abilities, Max returns to the scene and prevents the murder by pressing the fire alarm button in time.

A little later, after a series of events where she experiences her new ability, Max comes to meet his friend Warren Graham. She wants to tell him what happened, but they are interrupted by Nathan. Regardless of the player's choice and what kind of dialogue they have (earlier in the story, Max can tell Principal Ray Wells that she saw Nathan with a gun), Nathan begins to threaten her. Warren intercedes and he and Nathan fight, after which the same blue-haired girl drives up to them in a car, in which Max is surprised to recognize his old girlfriend Chloe Price and jumps into her car. Chloe takes Max to her home, and in parallel, the story of their friendship is revealed. As children, they were close friends, but in 2008, Chloe's father William died in a car accident. His death, and then the departure of Max (whose family moved to Seattle and gradually their communication faded away) completely turned Chloe's life upside down - from a cheerful, friendly girl and a successful student, she turned into a hooligan who does not obey anyone, often falling into the field of view of the local police for vandalism. About three years before Max's return, Chloe also began attending Blackwell, but was soon expelled for academic failure and misconduct, but even before that, she became close friends there with Rachel Amber. Chloe and Rachel planned to run away to California together, but half a year before Max returned, Rachel mysteriously disappeared. Earlier in the game, Max constantly stumbles upon Rachel's missing posters and now finds out that Chloe puts up these advertisements because he is afraid that Rachel will never be found: six months later, the police have not a single lead.

At the same time, Chloe tells Max that Nathan is selling drugs in Blackwell disguised as a laxative, and that once she tried to get him drunk to steal money from him, but instead he drugged her into unconsciousness, and when she woke up, she found , which lies on the floor, and Nathan crawls around her with a camera. At the Prices' house, Max realizes that Chloe's current behavior has been bolstered by her mother Joyce's marriage to Blackwell's security chief, David Madsen, who constantly picks on students. After a conflict with David, Chloe and Max leave the house. Chloe decides to take Max to the local lighthouse, where she often visited with her father. Arriving there, Max discovers with concern that this is the same lighthouse from her dream. When the girls sit down at its foot and look at the panorama of Arcadia Bay opened in the rays of sunset, Chloe says in her hearts that she dreams of blowing up this city, because he took away the people she loved most from her. Suddenly, Max again has a vision where she sees the same tornado destroying the city, but this time she comes across a newspaper with the date "October 11", which is four days away. When she wakes up, she tells Chloe about her abilities, but she does not believe her. Suddenly it starts to snow and Max realizes that this is a sign of an impending storm.

    Plot

The plot of the second episode begins on Tuesday morning (October 8). Max learns that Kate Marsh, a quiet girl from her class, was tricked into a party at the local Cyclone academic club and got drunk there, after which someone took her somewhere and completely drugged her, while simultaneously filming how a pumped-up Kate does depraved things and laying out network entry. The situation is complicated by the fact that Kate is from a religious family and with an appropriate upbringing, because of which she does not know where to go from shame. Max and Kate come to the conclusion that Nathan drugged her, but it's impossible to prove it. Later, Max receives an SMS from Chloe with an invitation to meet at the Two Whales diner, where her mother works, and where Max fully reveals the potential of his abilities to his friend: he guesses what Chloe has in his pockets and predicts the future 30 seconds ahead. Chloe is amazed by Max's superpowers, she lights up with the idea of "playing" with them and leads Max to her "refuge" to shoot bottles with a gun stolen from her stepfather. The "refuge" turns out to be an abandoned junkyard where Chloe often spent time with Rachel.

At some point, Max becomes unwell and she faints, during which she again sees the lighthouse and the raging hurricane. When she wakes up, Chloe gives the gun to Max so that she can now shoot, but then the girls run into Chloe's "acquaintance", drug dealer Frank Bowers, to whom Chloe owes money, and in whom she sees Rachel's bracelet on his hand. After a confrontation with him, during which Frank threatens Chloe with a knife, Max points a gun at Frank. If Max pulls the trigger, there will be no bullets in the gun, and Frank will laugh and remember how Max almost killed him and David's gun will remain with the girls. Chloe will be very happy that Max stood up for her and was so "cool". If Max does not dare to shoot, Frank will take David's gun from her, and Chloe will be upset that because of Max she will now have more problems, having lost the stolen weapon. Chloe and Max go for a walk along a nearby railway line. Chloe daydreams and says that if Rachel were with them now, they would have a great team. After a while, Max is forced to use her powers because a train is approaching them and Chloe's leg is stuck in a turnout.

Returning to Blackwell after some time, Max sees Kate Marsh leave in tears after talking with teacher Jefferson and went towards their hostel, because the video and bullying about this crippled the psyche of a believing girl. After some time, high school student Zachary Riggins runs into Jefferson's classroom, shouting that something is happening near the hostel. There, Max is horrified to see Kate Marsh jump off the dorm roof. She rewinds time several times to prevent this, but in a panic she discovers that she has used her abilities so often during the current day that her body is overstrained and all Max manages to do is stop time for a short period and manage to get to the roof to Kate before she jumps. Depending on the player's previous actions and the chosen lines, Kate decides whether to jump or not.

Regardless, the end of the episode takes place in the principal's office, in which Max must decide who to blame for Kate's suicide attempt: Nathan (since he clearly drugged the girl), David (early in the game, Max sees him giving Kate a rough reprimand) or their teacher Mark Jefferson (who was the last straw, as at the last minute Kate tried to ask him for help, but he didn't take her seriously). The director either temporarily expels Nathan from the academy, or suspends David from work, or removes Jefferson from the role of Blackwell's representative in the "Hero of the Day" competition. If Max didn't tell the principal the truth about Nathan, and David believes she smoked weed in Chloe's room, she will be suspended. Max and Warren then sit on the steps of the academy, discussing the events that have taken place, and watch an unexpected solar eclipse.

    Criticism

Overall, the second episode also received positive reviews. Aggregator Metacritic set the following scores: 77 on PC, 78 on Playstation 4 and 73 on Xbox One. On Game Rankings, the game has higher results: 80.29% on PC, 78.86% on PS4, 71.9% on Xbox One.

    Plot

The episode begins at night from Tuesday to Wednesday (October 8-9). Max and Chloe sneak into Principal Ray Wells' office late at night to find materials on Rachel because they think Kate's case is related to her - Rachel was a member of the Cyclone Club, at a party where Kate was drugged. Digging through the files, they find documents in Nathan's personal folder showing that the guy has mental problems (and was even seen by psychiatrists) and that Wells knows about his drug dealing, but everything is compensated by Nathan's parents - his father Sean is one of the owners of Blackwell and his major philanthropist. There, Max and Chloe find Nathan's doodles, accompanied by one constant phrase "Rachel in the Darkroom" ( Rachel in the Dark room- untranslatable play on words dark room(dark room) and dark room(drying room)).

Chloe invites Max to take a dip in Blackwell's pool, but they are nearly caught by David Madsen. Since, after the incident with Kate, he now vigilantly guards the territory, Max decides to spend the night at Chloe's house. In the morning, she discovers that her clothes smell of chlorine, and then Chloe gives her the clothes Rachel left with her. Max is constantly insecure about her decisions, even about changing her style to Rachel's. In response, Chloe states that Max has no style at all and says that she needs to stop doubting herself. As an example, she argues that Max wouldn't even dare to kiss her. Depending on the player's choice, Max may or may not dare to kiss Chloe. In both cases, Chloe will tartly say that she will write to Warren about it. Later, at breakfast, Chloe's mother Joyce shows her an album of her daughter's childhood photographs and gives Max one Polaroid picture, in which Max and Chloe were photographed together on the very day William died (the picture was taken by him). Joyce says this photo was the last time she saw Chloe truly happy. Later, Max, with the help of Chloe, manages to get into their garage, where David has set up an office for himself. There, she discovers David's laptop, in which she discovers that David is totally watching Blackwell's students, including him following Rachel Amber until she disappeared. There, she finds records from which she learns that before the disappearance of Rachel, she often visited Frank Bowers' camper. Then David comes home and starts arguing with his family. The player can choose to side with him or Chloe. If Max takes David's side, Chloe will be a little offended and will remind her that she stood up for him. If Max accuses David along with Chloe, remembering him persecuting Kate Marsh, then Joyce decides to temporarily break up with David and, to the delight of Chloe, kick him out of the house.

Using his powers, Max manages to get the keys to Frank's van from Frank, and he and Chloe sneak in. If the player gave Chloe's gun to Frank in the previous episode, Max will find it on the shelf and the player will have the choice of returning the gun to Chloe or not. Max finds a cache of photographs, which reveal that Frank and Rachel were lovers. This upsets Chloe a lot. She suspects that Rachel tricked her into running away to California herself (since Frank says he doesn't know where Rachel is either). In the hearts of Chloe, she dumps a bunch of grievances on Max, the main culprit in which she considers her father for the fact that he died. Later, Max returns to the dorm and in his room looks at the same childhood photo that Joyce gave her. Suddenly, the photo starts to react (flares appear on it, as if moving in time), and Max hears voices, which seemed to be published by the photo.

Max peers at the picture and manages to travel 5 years back in time to the day William died, but still retain her mind from the present. She recalls that William got behind the wheel then because he wanted to pick up Joyce from work. Max hides his car keys and persuades William to take the bus, thus "undoing" his death. The following is a video with photographs depicting key points in the lives of the Prices, which begin to reverse: instead of William's funeral, Joyce's wedding to David and a rebellious Chloe, a happy family is shown, where Chloe (without blue hair) receives a car as a gift for her 16th birthday. Then Max returns to the present, but with dramatic changes: she is a member of the Cyclone Club, the club's elite Victoria Chase, who treats her with contempt, and Nathan himself are now her best friends, and Warren is dating Stella. Shocked that she cheated, Max wants to find Chloe faster. She gets on the school bus to go to the Prices and sees that in this reality, David works as a bus driver. During the trip, she and other passengers on the bus see a new phenomenon: on the shores of Arcadia Bay, many whales lie ashore. At the Prices' home, she is greeted by a live William and an almost completely paralyzed Chloe in a wheelchair.

    Plot

The episode begins in an alternate reality on Wednesday evening (October 9). Max and Chloe walk along the coast, and Chloe talks about her tragedy. She had an accident in a car that William gave her and is now paralyzed from the neck. Max also finds out that in this timeline, Rachel Amber was still not found, but at the same time, Chloe was not her close friend. At the Prices' home, Max bitterly realizes that Chloe's health is not the only thing she has changed in her life: despite the fact that Chloe was a diligent student and could study at a more prestigious university than Blackwell, William and Joyce now spend all their energy and money to make her life easier, which has already gotten the Prices into trouble paying their debts and taxes. The girls spend the evening watching Blade Runner. The next morning, Chloe and Max go through their childhood photos, which include the same photo taken by William on the day of the tragedy. Here, Chloe unexpectedly admits that she is actually slowly dying, and the drugs and other amenities are only delaying the inevitable. She asks Max to kill her with a morphine overdose. Max can agree and Chloe, slowly falling asleep forever, thanks her, saying goodbye that she loves Max and will meet her in her dreams, or refuse - then Chloe will be offended and tell Max to leave and never come back. Regardless of the player's choice, Max then takes the photo and focuses on it again. She returns to the past and decides to leave everything as it was, thereby "killing" William. But before returning to the present, she tells Chloe that no matter what happens in her life, she will always remember her.

The photos of previous key events in Chloe's life are shown again, which are changed to the previous ones. The last shot shows the girls dragging a board with their children's drawings into Chloe's room. Returning to the present, Max sees the former Chloe at the table, and cannot restrain his feelings, which greatly surprises his friend. From text messages, you can learn that while Max was in another reality, Chloe apologized for her behavior the day before and offered to spend the whole night investigating the clues found in order to solve the mystery of Rachel's disappearance. Max does not tell her what happened. The girls find secret files in David's garage regarding Kate Marsh. They visually lay out all the clues found on the board with drawings. Then they go to the boys' hostel (if Kate is still alive, then before that they visit her in the hospital). Max gets into Nathan's room, where he finds his secret cell phone. As they leave, they run into Nathan himself, who threatens them with a gun, but Warren saves them, beating Nathan in the process. The next target is a list of Frank Bowers' clients. Depending on the player's actions and the selected dialogue branches, either Frank agrees with the girls' arguments and voluntarily gives them the list, or Chloe kills him with a pistol in self-defense, or he remains alive, but is wounded in the leg by a pistol, or from his own knife , if Max persuaded Chloe to throw away the gun (in all cases, this ends with the girls getting the list).

Putting all the evidence together, they find the old Prescott barn, where Nathan took the besotted Kate on the night of the ill-fated party. In the barn, a disguised descent into a secret bunker is discovered, which is equipped with a whole photo studio. There, they find folders containing sinister photo shoots of the victims, including those of Rachel, Kate, and Victoria. Rachel and Kate's folders contain photos of girls drugged up, but Victoria's folder is empty, and Max and Chloe decide that Victoria is the next victim. In Rachel's folder, they find a photo of Rachel lying unconscious or dead with a posing Nathan in the junkyard where Chloe tested Max's powers. They rush there and, to their horror, find Rachel's buried remains at the spot where the picture was taken.

Chloe is filled with a desire to make Nathan answer for everything and, ignoring Max's suggestion to go to the police, she goes to the End of the World party, which takes place in the Blackwell pool hall. Meanwhile, another unusual phenomenon occurs in the sky - a double moon. Nathan is not at the party, but Victoria is. The player may warn Victoria (depending on previous actions, she may believe or not) or not warn. Mr. Jefferson is also present at the party, who announces Victoria as the winner of the "Hero of the Day" contest. She, in turn, dedicates her victory to Kate Marsh. Chloe receives a message from Nathan that he is going to hide all the evidence, and she and Max rush to the junkyard, believing that Nathan wants to take Rachel's remains. However, there it turns out that the remains are still in place. Suddenly, someone sharply injects a certain substance into Max's neck, which makes her instantly weak and unable to rewind time and tries to at least warn her friend with her voice. Chloe turns around, only to be fatally shot in the head. Max manages to see the one who did it - Mr. Jefferson - and then loses consciousness.

    Plot

Max, being tied to a chair, wakes up in a photo studio in a bunker under the Prescott barn (Victoria may be tied up next to her, depending on the player's actions). Using his abilities and nearby photographs, Max learns that some time ago, Jefferson photographed her when she was under the influence of drugs. Max manages to change the course of time a little - she manages to move to the moment before the next injection and call Jefferson to a conversation: he admits that it was not he who killed Rachel Amber - Nathan Prescott, deprived of his father's love, found support in Jefferson's face and eventually began to imitate him in that to lure girls into the photo studio, drug them, and film them when they are helplessly tied up. However, a puncture came out with Rachel - she died of an overdose. Max persuades Jefferson to show her her diary, which contains a selfie photo taken on the same day in his class when she discovered these abilities in herself. Max, being inside the moment in the dark room, moves once again in the moment according to the photo that fell out of the diary (“the past is inside the past”). Once in Jefferson's class, she sends a phone message to David Madsen, and then gives one of her shots to Jefferson for a future photo contest. Again, a video sequence follows with changing photographs of the events: David arrests Jefferson and against this background the incident with Kate Marsh, who does not try to commit suicide, is lost, Chloe does not die, the police, on David's tip, find Rachel Amber's body in a landfill, and Max wins the photo contest.

Instead of a moment in the dark room, she wakes up on a plane flying to San Francisco for an exhibition featuring her photograph. Through text messages, Max learns that Chloe is alive. From a newspaper in Arcadia Bay, she learns that David has done an exemplary job. You can also learn from SMS that in this timeline, after David found Rachel, Chloe changed her attitude towards him and they are now a real family. However, her nose bleeds again from stress - she is still between realities. Changing photo again - Instead of being tied to a chair in the dark room in front of her diary, Max arrives at a San Francisco art gallery. In the present, Max wakes up in the lobby of the competition winners' exhibition. Max goes to her picture, after which her nose begins to bleed again, for a moment the girl turns off, and she again has a vision of a tornado destroying the city. After seeing 6 missed calls from Chloe, she finds out that the tornado is already in the city, and Chloe herself is stuck somewhere on the beach. Max decides he only needs to fix one small detail - go back one more time with the gallery shot and rip it right after taking it so he can stay in Arcadia Bay. But something goes wrong - everything around Max begins to melt, after which the changing photo series again shows that the new time branch has come into contact with the previous one, where Max did not send her picture to the competition, because she tore it, and hid the pieces in her diary and in the dark room, Jefferson finds him and burns him. Max wakes up again in the photo studio, where Jefferson has already returned, where he is horrified to discover that in this reality he burned her diary with all the photos at the same time. Since the selfie was also destroyed, in this timeline, Max couldn't go back and warn David. Jefferson informs Max that he had to kill Nathan (if Jefferson grabbed Victoria, he will say that he killed her too). From the sounds outside, it becomes clear that the tornado is already near the city. Jefferson is going to kill Max, too, by injecting her lethal dose, but then David Madsen bursts into the photo studio. Max, using her abilities, manages to warn him of Jefferson's ambush, and he stuns him with a camera, or to prevent Jefferson from killing David herself. Freeing Max, David admits that he had been watching Jefferson for a long time, but could not approach him - that's why he was watching other students. Max doesn't tell David about Chloe's death, or says - depending on the player's actions, David either simply ties up or kills Jefferson on the spot in a rage - but remembers a picture of Warren taken in the parking lot that evening.

Taking the keys to Jefferson's car, Max heads to Warren, who has taken shelter with several people at the Two Whales Diner to escape the tornado. On the way, Max listens to a message on her cell phone answering machine from Nathan himself, left for her by him the previous evening. In it, Nathan, being in complete despair, admits to everything he did, that he did not want to harm anyone, everyone just used him, in tears he apologizes to Max and says that Jefferson is coming after him and is trying to warn her about the maniac. Having reached Warren, Max tells him the truth, and he puts forward the version that the tornado is the result of space curvature caused by Max's movements in time. Warren gives Max that picture, but before Max can concentrate on it, he tells her to take care of herself. In response, Max, depending on the player's past choices, either kisses Warren, or just hugs, or does nothing and then travels back in time again. After warning Chloe, Max, depending on the player's choice, can tell her that she had already made a failed attempt to change her life in the past, which only led to more tragedy and the terrible choice she had to make. Chloe is shocked by Max's story about the alternate reality and what she went through for her. She will believe Max if she is honest and follows her plan. The changing photos of the events are shown again: the girls tell everything to David and his people arrest Jefferson right in the photo studio. Max wakes up next to Chloe at the beach, where a tornado is approaching, and, seeing Chloe alive nearby, he throws himself into her arms. Seeing that the old Max has returned, Chloe says that fate itself cannot separate them, but she will understand if Max wants to leave her life after everything she has experienced. Chloe tells Max about what happened after they left the party. Max is horrified to discover that the tornado has gotten even closer to the city and even bigger. Chloe decides to take cover near the same lighthouse, but then Max again loses consciousness. She has a long nightmare in which her worst fears (death, quarrels, betrayal, etc.) and all the bright moments associated with Chloe are shown. At the end of it, she comes face to face with herself, where her inner self tries to find out from her if Chloe is worth all these sacrifices.

Max wakes up when Chloe brings her to the lighthouse, and the storm has almost overtaken Arcadia Bay. Max explains to Chloe that it is her storm, that her abilities caused the tornado. No matter how much she tried to use them for good again and again, all she achieved was death and destruction. Chloe first tries to reassure her friend with the words that Max did not ask for these abilities and everything happened as it should, except for what happened to Rachel, but then she herself understands the root cause of all subsequent events. Chloe hands her a picture of the butterfly she took in the closet that day and tells her that this is her only chance: Max can go back in time and not disrupt the course of events by trying to prevent her death at the hands of Nathan. In response to Max's categorical protests, for whom the life of a friend always comes first, Chloe will say that she knows, because Max has proven this more than once. In hysterics, Chloe says that in this city, unlike her, there are a lot of people who deserve to live, like her mother and even her stepfather. Max still says he won't trade her for anyone. Chloe tells her that maybe Max's attempts to prevent her death were only delaying her inevitable fate and will remind her of how many times she almost or actually died this week. Chloe says that this week Max finally came back to her, showed her his love and friendship, made her smile and laugh like she hasn't done in years, no matter what happens to her, all these memories will forever remain, and no matter whatever Max chooses, she knows it will be the right decision. Hysterically, Max replies that she cannot make that choice, but Chloe tells her that she is the only one who can. The player then has to make a final choice: sacrifice Chloe or sacrifice Arcadia Bay. Once selected, Chloe will say "Max... it's time..." ("Max... it's time...").

    The final

If the player decides to save the city, Max will burst into tears, saying he doesn't want to do it. Chloe will say that she knows this, that this whole week with Max was the best parting gift for her. Depending on the player's past choices, a crying Max kisses Chloe for a long goodbye, or the girls simply hug with tears in their eyes. Then Chloe, in tears, says that she will always love her and that Max does not dare to forget about her and runs away, and Max, in response to whispering "Never", uses his abilities for the last time. This time, she's crying softly behind a stall when Nathan shoots Chloe. Under the composition Spanish Sahara follows a video sequence with changing photographs of events throughout the week: Chloe does not run away, but lies in blood on the floor, immediately after the shot, David runs into the toilet and arrests Nathan; Nathan doesn't beat up Warren in the parking lot, but turns Jefferson in during police interrogation; Max does not film Chloe dancing in her room on William's camera, but watches with Kate Marsh as the police take the arrested Jefferson out of Blackwell; Max does not walk with Chloe on the rails, but comes to the Price house to support the heartbroken Joyce and David; Max doesn't splash around with Chloe in Blackwell's pool, but is sad alone in her room, hugging a teddy bear; instead of taking a morning selfie with Chloe, Max meets Joyce at the diner and she gives her Chloe's things, including her father's camera and photographs; instead of hugs after returning from an alternate reality, Max looks at photos of Chloe on the floor in his room; instead of saying goodbye to the girls in the downpour, Max walks alone to the top of the lighthouse. Then Max, dressed in mourning, wakes up in the same place near the lighthouse, where he sees a beautiful sunset instead of a tornado. She then goes to Chloe's funeral, where she sees a blue butterfly landing on her coffin. Seeing her, Max smiles slightly.

If the player decides to sacrifice the city and save Chloe, then Max, with the words "No more!" ("Not anymore!") and tearing up the photo with tears in his eyes, thus losing the opportunity to return to the past and stop the hurricane. Depressed, Chloe approaches Max and promises to be with her forever. Max will whisper "Forever..." in response. The girls hold hands, sadly watching a giant sinkhole approaching the coast of Arcadia Bay. Max then turns away and hugs Chloe tightly, not wanting to watch the tornado destroy their hometown. At dawn, the ruins of the dilapidated Arcadia Bay are shown, along which doe runs (earlier in the game, Max sees a transparent doe at the place where Rachel's remains are found). Max and Chloe drive out of town in a pickup truck to meet their fate.

The main heroine of the game. 5 years after she lived in the City of Seattle, she returned to her hometown of Arcadia Bay and enrolled at Blackwell Academy.

Description: My name is Max Caulfield and since birth I have wanted to be a photographer. I have always looked at the world through my own lens. Maybe it's my way of being part of the world without the risk.

For some reason, I've always liked old cameras over new digital ones. I like all styles and techniques, but most of all - instant film selfies. I don't care if they laugh at me. Now I'm back in my hometown to study photography at Blackwell Academy, a private high school.

And with a scholarship too! I left Chloe here, my "best friend forever" (at least it was five years ago), and it's so strange to come back here and still not see her. Now I'm eighteen, I'm officially an adult, though I don't feel that way, and I'm ready to start here. new life with an old camera in hand. "Smile!"

    Mark Jefferson

Description: Mark Jefferson is not only one of the best photographers, he is also my teacher. And he's one of the reasons I got into Blackwell. How many of you were taught by your own idols? I have always loved his gothic and deco style, and there is a lot of variety in his engravings. But still, it could be a little softer. He follows fashion, despite his age, but he is kind of arrogant and sometimes pretentious. And that smug smile of his when he thinks he's right.

It prepares us for how difficult it is to be a "free artist". He seems to understand my work and my obsession with photography.

He insists that my photos participate in this contest "Hero of the day", but I'm pretty good at excuses. The winner will fly to San Francisco to present their work on behalf of Blackwell. I would like to think that my work is good enough to win, and I'm glad that Jefferson appreciated it, even if he annoys me with this competition.

    David Madsen

Description: Who-who, and the guard here is a real bastard. He treats everyone like they've committed a crime, or at least they're about to. Today in the hall he arranged an interrogation for me, I already thought that the arrest could not be avoided. I don't know much about him, but I heard that he was kicked out of the army.

And, of course, it was he who ultimately was to become a security guard at Blackwell Academy. Aren't we supposed to feel SAFE on campus? The dude flaunts everywhere with a badge and a weapon, as if looking for someone to attach a shocker. He would be great in a photograph, how to represent the authorities. Who would ever want to marry someone like that? I feel sorry for his family. It would be like living in a barracks. Brrr. Just another person I have to avoid in Blackwell. Collect them all, yeah

    Principal Wells

Description: Is it just me, or has he become somewhat wary of me lately? It's like he suspects me of something. But he behaves differently with other students and teachers, so it's definitely me. One day he came up and asked why I was so distracted by change. In response, I stuttered like a fool. No wonder I was so nervous: one word from him would end my scholarship.

Constantly tired and smelling of alcohol. You can understand him: running the Blackwell Academy is quite a job. And the smell ... I really hope that this is such a cologne. At the first meeting, the rector made good impression. He was kind, and his words made me feel like they were making me part of a new world.

He also said that in the future I will become a famous photographer. And then I have to return my debt to the academy to the university. He exaggerated, of course, but still nice. As long as you don't move around it. Maybe I can earn his trust.

    Victoria Chase

Description: Victoria Chase, the elite of Blackwell Academy, is a real bitch. I hate to say that. I just don't understand why someone so rich and handsome would be so mean. Students at a prestigious academy should evolve into artists and scientists... not reality TV contestants. Victoria is making a scandal out of everything. In fact, she spends her time yelling at me in class and teasing Kate Marsh.

To be honest, I want parents to see her in action. They would immediately take away all her finances. But on the other hand, she's at the Cyclone Club, and her parents seem to own the school, so she doesn't care.

Worse, she's good at art and photography. He even knows how to pronounce all those French names. There is no passion in her work, but she definitely has talent. Besides, she makes eyes at Mr. Jefferson, and it's so obvious that I'm ashamed of her.

She won't let him pass. But Jefferson does not reciprocate her feelings. Victoria goes out of her way to become the winner of the competition. Ha! I'm sure people like her go crazy when they meet someone they can't bribe.

    Nathan Prescott

Description: I thought my worst student nightmare would be Victoria Chase. Now appeared new problem- Nathan Prescott. I think he awakened my abilities when he killed that girl. Damn, he's only 19 and he's acting like a complete freak.

The ability to travel through time provides some advantage. But it won't matter if I get shot. You have to be very careful with this Nathan, given that his parents actually own all of Blackwell. He and his money against me alone.

The guy has obvious problems with self-control, I don’t know if he is on pills or high. One could feel sorry for him, but this psycho almost killed the girl (or did he?). Maybe you should call the police? And what to tell them? That I just rewind time and go back in time? Nonsense, the police are not an option. You have to be more careful in the future. Oh those school days!

    Kate Marsh

Description: I already forgot the last time I saw a smile on Kate's face. She is sweet and kind, even though the rest of the students laugh at her abstinence campaign. They act like little kids, and Blackwell is for adults, not schoolchildren... She has her cockroaches. I know she joined a lot of religious groups, but she didn't mess with me, so I don't care.

She's been too quiet for the last couple of weeks. She looks like a zombie. I hope I can help her, but I can hardly help myself. I do not think that all these jokes could break her ... We'll see. I need to talk to her more often, maybe invite her to tea or to the movies.

Although she is already an adult, I do not think she will agree to go to the movie "18+".

    Warren

Description: I'm sure if I gave the phone to Warren, he'd blow it up for "science." He wants his flash drive back after he loaned it to me for a week. He told me to watch the cool shows and movies that were on it.

I think he can be called a real friend, and we have a lot of common interests. And although Warren loves science more, he also appreciates art, including photography. He constantly says that he loves my work, and I can't figure out if that's true or if he's just trying to be polite.

Thank God, there really were films, and not some kind of porn. And why would he lie to me.

    Rachel Amber

Description: What happened to Rachel Amber? No matter how calm and secluded the Academy may be, but even here the harsh reality makes itself felt. All these flyers about the missing person, they are literally plastered all over the walls of the campus. She used to be quite a popular student here at the Academy, but she just disappeared six months ago.

    Chloe Price

Description: Here she is, Chloe Price. What would you say to a friend after five years of silence, finding out that you saved her life? NOTHING. I feel guilty that we didn't communicate... I don't know how Chloe feels like that again. She looks so familiar and at the same time seems like a completely different person ... She grew up, and it doesn't look like we have only a year difference in age.

I love her blue hair and punk clothes. It is already clear that she will become a rebel. Still looks like a pirate. In particular, on what is preparing to dive. I know she's still angry, her body language betrays her. Unless I still see old Chloe in her. Or should I say young? She is still worried about the death of her father, and this is not surprising. These were terrible times for Chloe and Joyce.

I am in disarray, I do not leave the thought of how everything was, if I had run away with joy and did not know grief. Speaking of grief - it's clear to a fool that she got involved in the dark dealings of Nathan Prescott. I don't have the slightest idea what's going on between them, but I'm sure I'll figure it out, whatever it is.

    Joyce Price

Description: Talking to Joyce Price five years later is like meeting Chloe. In particular, dinner at ‘Two Whales’. The ringing of silverware, the smell of sizzling bacon takes me back to my childhood when we had breakfast with my parents. I remember she always smiled at Chloe, even when she was playing pranks. I doubt she still feels that way about her antics, but they still tease each other like mother and daughter.

I left for Seattle shortly after William's death, so I don't know how Joyce felt. I'm glad she didn't take offense at me for my selfish desire not to look back. I remember the last time Chloe and I saw him. And I wonder how often Joyce remembers that day? It's the worst form of memory, you can't control yourself But if I could go back to that time. How would I do?

I can only speculate how Joyce hooked up with David Madsen. They say opposites attract. It seems that she really loves him, no matter how strange it may sound. I think she just wanted stability, solid ground under her feet ... It's a pity that things didn't work out for Chloe in the best way.

    Frank Bowers

Description: I will never forget the name "Frank Bowers" just because he is the first and last man at which I pointed the gun. How could Chloe contact this drug dealer? The strangeness began when I first saw him in the junkyard threatening Chloe, I was even more shocked by his appearance. I was expecting some junkie redneck with a shotgun, but he looked more like a trash can troll. I think he saw us when I used my powers to entertain Chloe.

Although he didn't look like a serial killer, his attitude, aura, energy, whatever, was TERRIBLE. I literally felt the hairs on my arms stand up. He wanted to pay back the money Chloe owed him, so it didn't make sense if he tried to hurt her, I didn't want to risk it...so, yeah, I threatened him with David's gun. Funny. Luckily none of us ended up like in Reservoir Dogs and I realized maybe "Frank Bowers" isn't as scary as I thought... but I don't want to see him around Chloe ever again. Since he wore one of Rachel Amber's bracelets and for whatever reason, I doubt Chloe will hang out with him anymore. But right now, he's our prime suspect.

The events of the new season of Life is Strange are dedicated to new characters, but they are part of the game's universe, which means that the consequences left by our previous heroines could not go unnoticed. Therefore, at the beginning of the game you will be asked if you played the first season. Through this, the events that occurred in the first season can be transferred to the game, namely the rescue, or vice versa, of the town of Arcadia Bay.

    Episode 1: Roads

    Episode 2: Rules

At the beginning of the episode, we are told about the events of the previous episode. Also, if you played a spin-off, saves from it are imported into this game. The changes will mainly affect the hero's costume.

    young student

After a short preview, we can see that already since the last episode, winter has replaced autumn. The guys in the forest hone their little brother's superpowers by driving various subjects. Moving on to gameplay, Daniel suggests trying to lift something else. Heavy stones will not give in to him very much, for example, like the one on the other side, but banks on a stump and small stones are quite, or Mushroom ...? No, you shouldn't abuse animals. After overcoming the mark with a bigger stone, and reaching a new record, Sean comes up with a new task - to catch a snowball in the air. You can throw a snowball normally over Daniel, in addition, you can hit him or Mushroom, or both in turn. At the second attempt to hit Daniel, he will catch him and throw him back by force into Sean. Soon the brother begins to cough. It's time to go home.

Along the way, you need to collect water in flasks. Please brother about it. Let him use superpowers at least in everyday life. And here come the curses from the petty. He needs to watch his language. Approaching an abandoned house, you can find the first collectible is a metal box on a tree (1/6). We pass by a two-headed snowman to a huge tree and find a surprise there. We ask Daniel for help. Inside there will be retro chips and badges. We examine a couple more items around before entering the house. You can play a trick on the brother with the hare hole. On the porch, you can sit in a chair and Sean will reflect on what happened, at the same time you can find out more details.

    ship, captain, crew

Entering the house, the first thing you need to make a fire to keep warm. And then Daniel was already completely unstuck. The brothers take a short break to learn how to use Daniel's powers. In this moment, everything said by the brother will then be reflected in the future, so we answer wisely.

We throw firewood into the stove, only a lighter is missing to make a fire. She can be found in the room where Daniel's tent is. It will lie on the nightstand with the rest of Sean's things. We return to the stove and make a fire. It's time to prepare the food. Passing by the door, you can see a raccoon on the street and show it to your brother. We follow into the bathroom and pick up the pan. We select any of the cans of food in the closet and select "Cook Dinner". While waiting for dinner, you can go outside and paint on the porch. After that, we return and serve dinner.

At some point, Sean will go to the room for the map. It turns out Daniel hid it in his tent. We move the Mushroom that has come running into the tent ... this will not work, so we ask Daniel, and then we pick up the card. The brother decided to play a prank on Sean using his abilities ... a great joke, as if there is someone behind the door ... We put the card on the table and show our brother where our path lies. They decide to visit their grandparents in Beaver Creek.

Next, the children play a board game. The loser is drawn something on the backpack. The rules of the game are very simple: you need to collect 3 numbers in order - 6,5,4. 6 - ship, 5 - captain, 4 - crew. It is necessary to collect the ship, the captain and the crew, and only then can the last throw be made to find the prey. The one with the most loot points wins. If Sean wins, you can draw a penis or a wolf for your brother. If Daniel wins, he will draw a poop or a picture of Mushroom. On this we stop the game, it's time to sleep. Finally, Sean will go out on the porch to smoke and at the same time try, maybe he also has superpowers ... but no.

    Force rule

The next morning, the guys are going to go. The fungus asks to come out, scratching into the glass. We open the door for him, or Daniel will do it with his power. We go to the aid of a brother who cannot fit his things in a backpack. Due to the fact that nothing comes out of it, he begins to swear. We pay attention to this in order to discourage such a habit. Concerned that Mushroom is missing, Daniel decides to go take a look. In the meantime, we go to the bathroom and collect water in flasks from the container. We put them in a backpack and go to look for a brother already.

We follow the trail that leads to the rabbit hole, where we find blood on the snow. We go further and in the gorge we find Mushroom's bandana. Going further, Sean discovers a dog lying in blood and a killer nearby - a lynx. Daniel is furious, he raises the beast and then we have a choice.

After the funeral of Mushroom, the brothers leave the hut and hit the road. Let's watch the video.

    asylum

We ring the doorbell and wait until they open it for us. Left at the table, we sit and wait for Claire and Stephen to return. At this time, you can inspect things around. They decide to adopt their grandchildren, but Claire insists on following certain rules, the main of which is not to attract attention. Upstairs in the bedroom, Claire offered to pray, which could be accepted or denied.

    Gingerbread house

    Beaver Creek, Oregon
    One week later...

One morning, Sean wakes up alone. The younger brother has long since stood up and can be heard making noise with Claire in the kitchen. We examine a couple of available things, put on pants and leave the room. Nearby will be played by Daniel with Stephen with a model of the railway. Before you go downstairs, you should go straight to the bathroom and wash your face. The rest of the doors will not be available to us yet. One room is the bedroom of relatives, and the second is apparently Karen - the mothers of the brothers.

There is nothing much to see on the ground floor yet, it is necessary to start breakfast. Behind him, the brothers ask about the closed room upstairs, but the granny still doesn’t want to talk about it and insists on following the rules and that we don’t go there. She also says that we can go outside, there are old toys in the shed in the backyard, the key can be obtained from Steven.

Before going out into the yard, it is worth examining the kitchen. There is a to-do list on the fridge for everyone. We have to tidy up the room and put the laundry in the washing machine. But that's later.

We go to Stephen's office. He asks to pass him the glue that lies in the closet. A little more and the closet would have fallen, thanks for the warning, grandpa. After that, Steven asks Sean to close the door and tells him about the suspicion that the younger brother has some kind of invisible power.

    CHOICE:

    • Keep a secret.
    • tell the truth.

After a short conversation, Steven reminds us not to use the computer. We examine a couple of items in the office, including a remarkable drawing on the wall from Chris - a neighbor's kid.

At the exit from the office, Carol once again reminds of the detachment from the Internet and the phone and asks to throw things in the washer. Daniel starts playing his games again and asks to find him. We rise to the second floor and look behind the curtain in the bathroom. The kid will appear from the back. We immediately tell Daniel to tidy up the room. He may or may not agree depending on his relationship with Sean. Otherwise, you can clean up yourself.

We pick up dirty things in the bathroom and carry them to the washing machine on the first floor, turn on the light in the boiler room and put them in the wash. It is also worth removing the typewriter from the floor and the book from the sofa in the living room, and remove the table with board games. You can also notice a crookedly hanging picture on the wall, a broken ship in a bottle by the window and the absence of fish in the aquarium. We ask the brother to help with all these matters, to which he will gladly agree. In the living room you can sit near the window and draw.

After all the work is done, you can find the second collectible in this episode is a tablet (2/6). To do this, we approach the layout of the railway and interact with it. Immediately we switch the left switch of the rail arrows to the right so that the train follows the coal station (a small elevated building), then we switch the switch a little to the right. Then we click on the coal station "Prepare for loading" and wait for the train to pass under it. After picking up the cargo, we set the rail arrow switches so that it goes through the tunnel at the far right end of the layout. When he passes through it, noise will be heard inside the tunnel and this will also be noticed by Sean. Interact with the station (not the gas station) in the left corner of the layout. Click on the "Stop train" button. As soon as the train stops, we press the "Check" button and we will receive a souvenir in the form of a tablet with the name of the town.

It's time to go outside. We look at the tree house. So this is the house Stephen helped build. We approach the barn and open it. This is followed by a cut-scene with Chris falling from a tree. She was featured in a spin-off. The kids get to know each other and immediately find common topics to talk, but soon Chris' father appears and takes him home. Then comes the choice.

    Bypassing the laws

    Beaver Creek, Oregon
    The next morning

Waking up alone again in the morning, Sean notices a note on the board from his brother that he is with the neighbors. Fuck off. We put on our pants and go down to the first floor. The living room is decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree. Christmas is coming soon. There is a note hanging on the door of the back door, which says that the old people have gone to church and will return for dinner. If we cleaned the room, the note will contain a note with thanks from the ba. A great time to sit at your laptop and find out what's going on in the world right now. Here we see the browser history that Steven was looking for about the brothers, their discussion on the forum, you can read Brody's blog and see the page in the social. networks. You can also call Lila from the phone in the living room.

We go out to the backyard and head to Chris' house. Before going inside, we go to the backyard and approach the snowman. Check it out, then pick it up beer cap - collectible (3/6).

We look through the window of the house and see that Daniel is playing with his superpower in front of Chris. We go into the house. The brother tries to justify himself and stops Sean from giving away the whole secret. But then Chris interrupts the conversation and says that he has superpowers. Daniel lied to Chris. Great ... After a while, Chris's father enters the room and the guys all gather together at the fair for the New Year tree. While dad is in the car and Daniel is in the toilet, Chris suggests that you can distinguish between heroes and villains among your toys, if you do it right, you can get fourth collectible (4/6).

    • Heroes- warrior, pirate, dinosaur, bear.
    • villains- machine and insectoid.

Having placed all the toys in the right places, Chris will reward us with a figurine from the spaceship. After that, we talk with Chris about "his abilities" and go for the Christmas tree.

    Christmas spirit

Arriving at the fair, Sean and Daniel have a conversation about revealing the secret to Chris. The brother says that he did not reveal the secret, but made Chris believe that these were his abilities. We have to make a choice:

In the market, our goal is to buy a gift for Daniel, if, of course, there is money left for this. You can also find the fifth collectible here. Near the tents with holiday souvenirs, we turn left and find a girl with purple hair playing the guitar. We throw $1 to her, after which she will start singing. We need to wait for the end of the song (better not to leave the screen). When the song ends, you will be able to talk to the girl. After the conversation, in her place near the tree you can find pick for guitar (5/6). At the exit, some guy digs up to the girl with a friend, he behaves like a bastard, so Daniel offers to teach him a lesson.

After looking around the tents with souvenirs, you can sit down at a table and draw. A little later, Chris will come up and ask him to add something cool to the drawing. We add aliens or zombies to the drawing, to choose from.

It remains to decide on a gift. If we tell the seller that we are relatives of the Reynolds, then they will give us a discount. It can also be stolen, but it is better not to do so.

Well, mission accomplished. And the tree has already been bought. We're heading for the exit.

    Revelations

Having stopped near the house, Sean and Charles have a heart-to-heart talk and the second one tells a lot about himself.

    squealing tires

Returning to the house, it turns out that grandparents are not there yet. Daniel begs Sean to see Mom's room upstairs. Well, he has a right. We go upstairs and look for the keys in the old people's room. Also, the door can be knocked out with the help of the brother's superpower. There will be no key in the old people's room. It will be hidden in the bathroom. We examine the basket for dirty laundry and find the key in the red sweater.

We examine the room. We find here the last collectible - bus ticket (6/6). We approach the CD-player and turn it on. It will not work, after which Sean will notice that it is not connected. On the left, we connect the plug to the outlet and try to turn it on again, and this time nothing. Sean decides to check what's wrong and finds a bus ticket in the drive.

To continue the plot, you need to read a fresh letter on the bedside table near the door. After a while, the old people will come into the room. Showdown will begin, and Steven will not want to listen to this and will go downstairs. Soon, grandfather's cry will be heard from the first floor. He was crushed by the same closet.

The police are on the horizon. Claire distracts the police so the brothers can escape through the back door. They take their belongings and leave the house.

    ending

The ending may be different. and there are three of them:

Minor choices that have little effect:

    • permission to break the door by force;
    • permission to save grandfather from the closet;
    • the ability to clean the room with the help of force;
    • clean the table with the help of force;
    • be good-natured that Daniel is playing with Chris by force.

P.S. After the escape, Sean gives his brother a Christmas present (if bought) and the reaction of the brother can be different:

    • good if everything was fine with Chris, in return he will give Sean a drawing;
    • bad, if Chris got hit by a car, Daniel will be sad because of this and will not give anything in return.

    Liberation

The guys jump on a train passing by and go, as planned, to a place called Puerto Lobos...

This concludes the second episode of the second season.

    Episode 3: Wilderness

As always, we watch the initial video, where we are told about the adventures of the brothers in the form of a story about wolves.

    summer quarrel

    Seattle
    3 months before the tragedy

The plot of the new episode continues with frames from the past, before the incident. Daniel quietly tries to steal his brother's thing, but nothing comes of it.

Before we go after the small ones, we look around in the room. Then, we leave and follow into the living room. The morning rays of the sun penetrating the house make the picture on the screen even more beautiful. You can also look for a brother in his room and outside the bathroom door, and in the wardrobe at the entrance, but he will not be there. We try to open the door leading to the garage, then we hear noise from the father's bedroom. We follow there, a brother will appear towards us. We arrange a “puzzling” for him, after which the father intervenes in the conflict.

We leave with the father in the room for a man's conversation. He explains that he needs to make peace with his brother. We accept his advice, because after all, we are an older brother. We go into Daniel's room. Now you can inspect all the things in his room. The brother is offended that he was yelled at. We use a couple of toys to convince him. After the second toy, he will put next to him spaceship, let's try to continue with it. The conversation is getting better, and he shows that he took the clock from the nightstand. We give them back to him.

    Wake up and sing

    Humboldt County, California
2 months after the events at Beaver Creek

Not in at its best Sean wakes up in a tent, all because of the dog. We get up and take a look inside. Please note that Daniel took off his watch. You can also look into the diary and see Sean's sketches of recent events.

We get out. Sean is at the campground with the hookers we saw in the previous episode at the New Year's Fair. We look around in the camp, exploring the area. The first drawing (1/3) can be done by the fire, sitting on a log. Also, if you pet the dog, you can find the first souvenir (1/6). We follow him, stroke him a second time, after the third time he will lead to a place where he will find everything for us herself. We examine all residential places, in addition, on one of them you can talk with Jacob. Nearby we will find a road to the lake, but until Sean drinks coffee, the path there is closed.

We follow to the kitchen. There is a to-do list next to the coffee machine. You can get acquainted. We pour coffee and sit down to chat with the others. We learn from them where the brother disappeared.

We follow the path towards the lake. We will meet Fin and Daniel throwing knives. Somehow deftly, a small one turns out to throw knives. Most likely he is cheating. Further, in the role of Sean, we try to hit the bull's-eye ourselves.

Fin leaves us and the brothers start to quarrel again, as a result, Sean ends up on the ground.

After that, a beep will sound. It's time to hurry to work. Follow Daniel to Big Joe's car. Sean is clearly upset that his brother is drawn to Fin more than his own brother.

    On knives

The kids go to a cannabis plantation. Great. We are met by the boss and escorted to work. One group will clean up the debris after the storm, while the other will sit and cut the cones. Here you can find the following collectible item - pen (2/6). To do this, we must work hard, we cut one bump after another, after which we will find this item at the bottom. Approximately 8 pieces need to be cut. From time to time, you will have to rinse the scissors for convenience. All this will be accompanied by skirmishes between two girls.

You can work hard and cut a lot of buds, it is necessary to find a souvenir, you can also work averagely and not cut anything at all.

Having finished work, we return to the camp with Fin. He is a cool Kent and treats Sean with respect. To get the next souvenir (3/6)- in the camp we talk with Fin by the tree, after which we walk a little and talk with other guys, you can, by the way, sit down and draw near the tent (Picture 2/3), then we return to Fin, we go behind the tree, we will receive a souvenir from him.

Next, let's get down to business. The task for the day is to take the cans of water to the kitchen and shower. We lift the heavy canister and carry it to the kitchen. There we will find Daniel washing dishes. You can offer him brotherly help, in return he will offer help with canisters. So with its help you can drag two cans at once at the same time. But you can just ask him for help, but the plates still have to be washed. We go with him to the canisters, use the key combination for my brother to use his power.

After the brother will ask them to train his super-powers.

    flying pebbles

In the end, we follow to meet with my brother to the lake. If you go right along the lake, you can find two logs lying on top of each other, behind them there will be another souvenir (4/6).

We make a command cry and send it to the other side of the coast so as not to attract attention. We ask Daniel to pick up a fallen tree on the way. We start with an accuracy test. We throw bumps to our brother, and he must knock them down with stones. Further lifting of small objects at the same time. And the end of the training will be the destruction of mushrooms. The brothers again find a reason to quarrel, and the younger one proves that he is already an adult and knows how to control power. To demonstrate, he raises the roots of a tree from the bottom of a lake.

    Tales by the fire

After sunset, everyone gathers around the fire with a guitar, smokes grass, drinks, and has fun. Fin hands Sean a joint. But we shouldn't take him if we don't want to set a bad example for our brother, because he will want to too. Here by the fire you can draw last drawing (3/3) in the episode. Along the way, you can throw cones into the fire and sip beer. Bong is also better not to smoke. The time for stories will come and you can choose one of two stories to tell. In the end, we either get drunk or stay sober.

Everyone will slowly disperse, and Daniel will offer to go to bed.

In a tent with a brother, you can discuss the ending day. If we mentioned watches earlier on the lake, then Daniel will tell the truth about them. At bedtime, the coming Daniel asks to tell him a fairy tale about wolf brothers.

    Work days

Sean's morning is not very good. He wakes up work and catches up with the car in a hurry. We watch a video about the last working day of the guys. It's payday time. At the door, the guys are discussing what they will spend the money on. Everyone is called inside, except for little Daniel. But soon he himself enters the living room, where Big Joe catches him. Well, great! We can't see money. What about the whole group. But that's not all, Big Joe wants to deal with Daniel, but the kid fights off with an ashtray with the help of force.

As a result, they reveal their secret to the whole group. Fin has an idea: using the kid's powers to rob Merrill's boss's safe. But Cassidy tells him to get rid of the idea.

Ahead is the last night before everyone leaves. Cass suggests getting a tattoo.

We return to the camp. On the bench we talk with Fin, where you can agree to Merrill's robbery, or at first give an uncertain answer, but still agree in the end, there is no choice. You can also catch an interesting situation along the way.

The camp is already in full swing party. Of course, this is not the usual party that you usually expect, but still. Cass has everything on the table ready for the tattoo. We communicate with the guys in the center by the fire, then we approach Cassidy, who communicates with Ingrid. The second will immediately leave us alone. We decide whether or not to get a tattoo.

Still, it will be at least some memory of Cass when they part.

Next, Cass wants to swim in the lake and invites Sean to follow her. Excellent. But first you can find a souvenir. We approach Ingrid by the fire and communicate with her. From the conversation we learn that they give away their things. It remains only to go to the tent and pick up souvenir (5/6).

    midnight dip

Now let's go to the lake. The children strip to the naked and climb into the water. There we tell Cassidy or not about the idea to help Fin with the robbery.

    Under the cover of night

We meet with accomplices and head to Big Joe's house to get in his car to Merrill's house. You have to be quiet so you don't wake him up. Approaching the gate, we are looking for a way to get inside. Option one is to use Daniel's power. Keep in mind that each help from Daniel is accompanied by loud noises, so 3 such actions will disturb Big Joe's sleep.

There are cameras everywhere on the owner’s site and near Merrill’s house on the plantation, so we carefully look around and do not fall into their field of vision, or we cut them down with the help of Daniel’s power.

Here we will find the last memento in the episode. On the table in the toolbox we find a screwdriver with which you can hack the yellow locker nearby, but you can also open it with a key. In the yellow locker we will find cartridges - our souvenir (6/6). There is also a hammer there. We take it for the future. You can also use a screwdriver to open the drawer near the table, the keys to the yellow cabinet will hang in it.

Next, we have to steal one of the trucks, but Sean will only be able to start one of them, which he points to. Therefore, in the other two, you can damage the engine, break a window or puncture a tire so that we are not chased. You can break the window with a hammer or a pipe, pierce the tire with a knife, which we take from Fin after an unsuccessful attempt to do this with a screwdriver, and open the hood with a screwdriver. But the screwdriver, too, can eventually break after the 3rd break-in. Therefore, you can act like this:

We take a screwdriver in the tool box, then we go behind the car we need and climb into the back of the body. We will see a window that can be opened with a screwdriver. We do this and let the brother in there so that he opens the door. Ready. If you do everything quietly, then the car can not be mutilated, because there will be no chase. But if you want revenge, then you can. We sit in a wheelbarrow, break open and go to the place of theft.

    What will you sow...

On the plantation we pass through the greenhouse, having previously destroyed the camera. We remove another one near the house, look through the window at the door, through it you can see the camera inside, remove it too. We go around the building on the right, look out the window, here is the room with the safe. We remove the damper from the door with the help of the brother's strength. Then we go around the corner and immediately shoot the camera from above. There are two left. We go back and go around the house on the other side. We remove two cameras on the veranda. We look out the window. Everything is clean, we go to the door where we left the greenhouse and go inside.

We open the safe and a lot of money will pour out from there. There will also be a pistol.

Based on this, we make the following choice.

    endings

From all this it turns out that we have 4 endings:

    1. Merrill and Fin are dead
    2. Daniel used the force and Fin survived
    3. Fin's dead, we've been idle
    4. Fin is alive, but we were inactive anyway

    Episode 4: Faith

    Episode 5: Wolves

We look at the initial backstory if, after so much time after the release of the previous episode, the plot has been forgotten.

    A new dawn

    Arizona
7 weeks after the events at Haven Point

Daniel and I wake up at the edge of the canyon. We talk with the brother, after which you can examine the objects around us. We examine the notebook and take it out draw (1/3). In the figure, we finish drawing Daniel at his request.

Having examined everything, we put things in turn in a backpack. We use the power of Daniel on some objects distant from us [hold E].

Having received control, we go down the canyon. In the distance we will see a shiny object, we climb the hill on the left and ask the brother to get it. Get collectible - shiny item (1/6). We follow further down the slope, there will be an obstacle ahead, we ask Daniel to clear the path.

    sand people

Returning to the community, the brothers find that Karen is not at home and she has gone to the city to get groceries and left us to eat. First, we climb onto the roof of the van, where you can draw, sit down in a chair and create drawing (2/3).

We examine the van inside, eat pancakes and move to the left side to another van, where we will find Daniel. On the way we look at the sculptures.

We look at the layout from below, made by Joan and put the parts on the base. First the metal torso, then the arms and then the head. After that, all this can be rotated. We interact with Joan to complete the sculpture.

Then we go to the house opposite. It's time to return the telescope to Stanley and Arthur. We communicate with the guys, then Daniel will offer to play a treasure hunt game.

We must find two parts of the map that will show us the location of the treasure. The first part is located near the windmill. The second part is located behind the solar panels of the van. By connecting the two parts of the map, we will find the treasure marked in the junkyard of cars. Taking it, we get collectible - treasure (2/6).

Daniel will report that he sees Karen's car on the horizon. In the meantime, we can pick up near the seedlings from the van collectible - (3/6).

We pay attention to the man who came with Karen. A rather familiar face, after talking with him you can guess who he is talking about. This turns out to be the same David from the first part of the game. If you chose "Sacrifice the city" at the beginning of the game, then Chloe's mother will be dead, and after these events, David reconciled with his stepdaughter and she even comes to visit him. And if they sacrificed Chloe, then Joyce will call David and talk about the trial of Nathan. Also later, a photo of Nathan can be seen on the top shelf in the van.

We help Karen to drag the purchases to the van. Daniel, as always, cheats. We examine the van again for the presence of new places for interaction. Then we go outside and talk to Karen. In a conversation, you can:

Later, she will offer to take a walk through the canyon.

    Fireflies

Together with Karen and Daniel we climb to the same place where we spent the night with my brother.

There they sit down and talk. She warns that the FBI is after us and they will be here soon. Karen takes paper lanterns out of her bag and they all launch them into the air together.

    "Dal"

In the morning, the guys are getting ready to leave. Karen gives us money. In the van, we can look at the newspaper, which says about the search for the brothers and Karen.

We can leave Karen a farewell letter that will be:

We go and say goodbye to all the inhabitants: with Arthur and Stanley, with Joan, she will give us a wolf figurine as a gift. You can also visit David in his van. There we learn that the conversation about his stepdaughter was about Chloe. This is the same David from the first part of Life is Strange. We take a police scanner from the table and set the frequency to 154.95 .

Also on the refrigerator and on the shelf you can see a photo of Chloe. We leave the van and communicate with David again at parting. He advises to surrender to the authorities in order to make life easier for himself. But the conversation is interrupted by Chloe who called at that moment. You can eavesdrop on the conversation outside the van. At the rear wheel of the van can be found collectible - bottle opener (4/6).

Next, we approach Karen and talk with her a little, after which she will say that she has not yet finished preparing the car and we should still take a walk. Maybe we haven't said goodbye to everyone yet. Then we return and say goodbye to Karen.

    last miles

The brothers are driving through the desert, talking to their brother and answering his questions.

    Wall

We find ourselves near the border gate. We turn the camera to the right and we will see cacti and a gray rock. On the banks there will be a stone with inscriptions, we take away collectible - stone (5/6).

We approach the wall and ask Daniel to start using force to break through the barrier. Upon returning to the car, Daniel will be shot down by local mercenaries, but after that they will all be caught by a patrol.

    Cells

We find ourselves in a cage with a Mexican family. Nearby in a cage are those mercenaries. We talk with Mexicans and learn about them.

Next, Sean will be taken for interrogation. The guard will leave and bring us coffee. While waiting, you can see some things, but mostly we will just have to wait. During conversations with the officer, it does not matter what we say, because soon we will hear Daniel, which means we will be saved.

Then we go to the storage room to pick up our things. You can't grab a weapon, unfortunately. In the same place in the bag of mercenaries we will find collectible - flag badge (6/6).

    Blood Brothers

    endings

There are 7 endings in total in the game. They depend on how we taught and instructed Daniel when using force, what actions we encouraged, and so on.

    1. Surrender (high morality)

Daniel will go to live with his grandparents.

15 years later, after Daniel graduated from high school, got a job as a barista, and visits his mom again, he returns to see Sean finally getting out of prison.

Sean grows a beard and gets himself an artificial eye. Also, unlike his brother, he is rather sad and has lost interest in life. Subsequently, they disperse each in their own direction.

    2. Surrender (high morality) - Alternative with Layla

In this ending, everything is the same as in the previous one, but only here, from prison, she also meets Layla. This will happen if you call her at least once after what happened with the brothers.

    3. Surrender (low morale)

Daniel disagrees, and he says he didn't come all this way to give up. He locks the doors and presses hard on the pedal. Along the way, he reflects bullets and scatters everything around. As a result, they break through the border, but ... Sean is hit by a bullet and he dies.

Later 6 years later, he lives in Puerto Lobos and befriended the fighters. In addition, he began to rob banks. In general, he became a bandit, and no one could tell him. On his beach, where he lives, there is a "place of memory" according to Sean.

    4. Crossing the border (high morality)

The brothers decide to go through the border, but Daniel doubts and subsequently still does as Sean tells him, he clears the way. But in the end, before the border, his conscience eats him up, and he jumps out of the car.

Then he stays with his grandparents, celebrates Christmas, they give him a dog that looks like Mushroom, and he communicates with Chris, a bear is drawn on the tree house. Daniel saves the people on the bus from an accident. They communicate with Karen and visit her sometimes. He buys his first car.

6 years after what happened at the border

Daniel lives at home with his grandparents and now wears a bracelet on his leg. They become friends with my mother, and he talks to her on the phone. Then Daniel receives a letter from Sean. He's in Mexico, the photos will show Sean and who he'll be with already depends on who we built relationships with in the game (Cassidy/Fin). Also, sand from the beach pours out of the letter. The ending ends with Daniel looking out the window, sad but relieved that they are finally not on the run.

    5. Crossing the border (high morality) - Alternative with Cassidy

The ending is the same as the previous one, except that in the photo, Sean will not be alone, but with Cassidy.

    6. Crossing the border (high morality) - Alternative with Cassidy

In the same ending, Sean will be with Fin in the photo.

    7. Crossing the border (low morale)

Daniel comes out and gives the cops a beating, throws everything around and clears the way. Then they get into the car and calmly cross the border without any obstacles. Later we see how they get to Puerto Lobos and settle there. They open their workshop and now they are bad guys, with whom it is dangerous for everyone to deal with. They become wolf brothers.

    Congratulations, the game is over!
