tree search

You have just appeared in the game world, every time you create a map, the world is created randomly, you appear in a random place on the map. Look around, first of all you need to find a tree, wood is extracted from it, which is needed to make tools and weapons. If there is a tree nearby, then go to it, if there are no trees, then go in any direction until you find it, if you appeared on the island, then swim through the water using the "Space" key.

Your inventory is currently empty

timber extraction

Come close to the tree, point the mouse pointer at the trunk and hold down the left mouse button, we are cutting the tree with our bare hands, so it will take a little longer than if we used an ax (we will have it a little later). Get 5 units of wood, it drops when a piece of wood is cut down.

Press the "E" button in the English layout to go into crafting mode, now we need to make boards from wood, and from 4 boards a workbench. To make planks, simply move the wood with the mouse to one of the 4 crafting spaces next to the player image, take the planks on the right side, so "turn" almost all (leave 1 unit of wood) wood into planks, then use 4 planks to make a workbench.

You now have at least 1 piece of wood, 12 planks and 1 workbench. The wood and boards may be of a different color, as the trees are different, but all are used in the same way.

When you have created a workbench, move it to one of the 9 bottom cells. Items and blocks in these 9 bottom cells can be selected using the keys 1-9 or the mouse wheel, after you exit the crafting mode by pressing the "E" key again. We need a workbench for complex crafting, without a workbench we can only do simple things in 4 cells, and in a workbench in 9 cells. To use a workbench, you need to place it on the ground, to do this, select it with the mouse wheel and place it on the ground with the right mouse button.

Now right-click on the workbench and a crafting window will open in 9 cells.

In a vestak, make sticks from 2 boards, and then make a wooden pick from 3 boards and two sticks. By the way, the arrangement of items in a certain order to obtain other items is called a recipe, there are a lot of recipes in the game, it’s not easy to remember them right away, so actively use the page at the link.

Your inventory should now look something like this:

Now we need to mine 17 units of cobblestone to make stone pick, axe, sword and oven. Cobblestone is mined from stone. Look around for stone cliffs nearby, but it will be even easier to go underground, after 3-5 blocks you will meet stones. It is best to go down underground with a "ladder", then it is easy to get back out. Get 17 cobblestone with a wooden pick and return to your workbench.

Now your inventory will look like this:

We see that our pickaxe is a little damaged, we have collected 17 units of stone and some earth.

Tools and weapons

Return to the workbench, 4 more sticks from two boards, and from sticks and cobblestone - a stone pick, a stone ax, a stone sword.

Now our inventory looks like this:

Enter the workbench, place 8 pieces of cobblestone in the workbench, leaving only the middle cage empty, take the furnace and place it on the ground. Now we need coal to make torches. Coal can be found underground or made in a furnace. Right-click on the stove, put 1 unit of wood in the top cage, and put a wooden pickaxe in the bottom cage, which we will no longer need.

Use charcoal and a stick to make torches, they will be useful to us at night and when descending into the mines.

From 6 units of boards make a door, build a simple house before nightfall and put the door. Inside the house, drag your workbench and furnace. At night, hostile mobs appear in the game to protect themselves from them, at first you can hide in the house, and from the house you can make a descent into the mine and extract resources at night. It doesn't matter what you build the first house from - it is important to do it as quickly as possible, build from earth and cobblestones or just knock out a house in the rock.

The simplest house

Next, you urgently need to get food, and it is also advisable to make a bed to skip the night. So look around for animals nearby - cows, pigs and chickens provide meat that needs to be cooked in the oven, wool falls out of sheep, you need 3 units of wool to make a bed. If you got food, then the first night, it's better to survive in the mine, look for useful resources, iron is very useful, and in the morning you go to the surface, make a wheat farm, an animal farm.

Bookmark our Recipes page. There you will find all the recipes of the game that you will need more than once.
And when you understand the basics of the game, then move on to playing online with dozens of other players, the game becomes more interesting, albeit more difficult.

I hope you find this guide useful to you. This is a game with open world, which means that you can go explore the area without completing a task, but on your own! Thus, you yourself create the plot of this game. Change the world of Minecraft to your taste, build and create!

One gaming day corresponds to 20 minutes of real time, 10 of which are allocated for the day; evening and morning twilight lasts for 1.5 minutes; 7 minutes-night. At night, with the advent of darkness, you run the risk of stumbling upon dangerous monsters, so be on the lookout!

It will not take long to get used to the character control, it will seem familiar to you from many other games:

  • movement is carried out with the keys W, A, S, D.
  • spacebar jump
  • careful walking mode (using it, you will not fall off a cliff) -Shift
  • inventory-E

You can also quickly call things from the inventory with the keys 1 ... 9

So, on the first day of the game, you will need to make tools and build yourself an overnight stay, otherwise you will have trouble with the monsters - so have time to do everything before nightfall. You should start by collecting wood: go to the tree and hit it (hold down the left mouse button) - soon a piece will break off from it, then pick it up.

The selection of resources is carried out automatically - just walk next to the fallen block and it will be in your backpack. In this way, get 10 pieces of wood. (Note - on multiplayer servers you cannot break blocks near the character's birth point).

After collecting wood, you need to think about how to protect yourself for the night. Find a good place, where you can build a shelter, for example, the top of a hill (if there is nothing more suitable nearby, you can also choose a sandy beach). Then you should make boards from the wood collected earlier. This is done in the inventory window (open it with the “E” key and you will see a 2 by 2 item crafting box to the right of your character) and place the wood in one of these slots. From one piece of wood you can get 4 boards.

Make 24 boards to start with, so that is enough for the first time - they will come in handy more than once. From the boards you can, with the help of which, in turn, you can make various tools. After creating, take the workbench and set it to the right place with the right mouse button.

Clicking right key mouse directly on the workbench, you will see its window for creating items in the form of a field measuring 3 by 3 cells. Now you need sticks. To create them, position two boards so that one is on top of the other.

Do this with 6 boards and you will get 12 sticks. The next step will be the creation of working tools and weapons, such as a shovel, pickaxe and. Craft them on a workbench.

After choosing a placement, you can proceed directly to where you can hide from night monsters. You can build it next to the workbench, but then, if you wish, you can take it with you and move it to another, more suitable place, destroying this block with fist or pickaxe blows.

In order to get materials and build a house, you will need your tools. Use a pickaxe to quarry stone, a shovel is useful for digging up the earth, and an ax to chop trees. The sword will help you deal with the monsters.

You can build your first lodging for the night from the earth, but it is better to find a stone, process it with a pickaxe and use it as material for your shelter. Even for a comfortable night, it remains to find a cobblestone from which to build a furnace. If you can't see rocks lying nearby, try to find them underground by starting to dig the surface with a shovel. Collect approximately 20 units of stone in this way using a pickaxe.

After collecting the stones, block the entrance to your shelter with them for safety, build a furnace. To do this, go to the workbench and place the cobblestones in all but the center cell.

Using the furnace, you can for lighting - put the board in its lower cell to maintain the fire, and in the upper pieces of wood to get charcoal (they will also be able to support the fire later). Next in inventory place the resulting coal over the stick and you will get a torch.

Now you can light up your home from the inside or the outside. Now we can assume that you have all the basic items, and during the night you can dig a mine or create stone tools to replace wooden ones - they are more reliable and blocks fall faster with them.

Let's summarize - now you have a cozy house, torches, wooden or already stone tools, a furnace and a workbench. Thus, the foundations for development have been laid, and now the progress in the study and effective use of available resources depends on you and your imagination!

So, you have installed the game and everything you need software. And even managed to launch this game. And then the following question arose in front of you: "but actually, how to play minecraft". There are no specific answers to this question. It all depends on what you want to get in the end. For example, to build a city, a castle, or something else like that. However, in any case, the initial arrangement for Everyone will be approximately the same. Therefore and the first steps will also be the same.Let's consider them.

Step one

First things first, you need resources. You can get them in various ways. The first way is to get them in a "natural" way, i.e. take and hit it on a block of metal, stone, wood, etc. The second way is to find them, for example, in a chest. Remarkably, you won’t get a lot of resources in the second way, so you shouldn’t rely on it.

We will have the first step, because without it it will be impossible to build the most important tools, without which, literally, more expensive resources cannot be obtained. The tree is extracted very simply, just go up to it, point the pointer at one of the blocks of the trunk and hold down the left mouse button. It should be released only after the tree block is "broken". You don't need to pick it up, just get close to it and it will jump into your inventory.

step two

The second step we will have is the creation of tools. Thanks to them, you will be able to understand how to play Minecraft. The most important tool is the workbench. Without it, you will not be able to create either a pickaxe or a shovel, and all other tools, too, are unlikely to succeed. To create this truly important thing, it is necessary to turn our firewood into boards. This is done in the following way. The character's inventory has four slots, the so-called built-in workbench. This is where we place one block of wood that we cut down. Next, click on it with the left mouse button and get the boards.

We arrange these same boards as follows in the same inventory:

After the operation, we get a workbench. We drag it to the quick access panel and install it with the right mouse click in the place we like.

To activate our workbench and start creating things, you need to approach it and press the right mouse button all the same. After that you will see the following window.

Perhaps the most important tools that we will need at first are: a pickaxe and axe. Everything else is not so important. Of course, you can do without an ax, but we have a limited time before dark, at which time aggressive mobs appear.

To create the simplest pickaxe, you need to get sticks. They can be done like this:

After that, you can proceed to the creation of the tools themselves. We must arrange the sticks and boards as shown in the figure to get one or another tool.

After creating these tools, we can start actively mining resources - wood and stone. This is all done according to the same principle as in the case of extracting a tree in the first step, only in this case we use tools. In total, ten blocks of wood and eight blocks of stone will be enough for us.

Step Three

After receiving the resources, we can start creating our shelter, where we can wait out our first night.

The easiest way will be to go deep into the ground for several blocks and close the entrance with the blocks of earth we have mined. But you can do it in a more interesting way - to build a house. For this, it is not necessary to extract a huge amount of stone, earth or wood, it is enough to find a mountain and gouge a passage in it. Then seal the resulting entrance with the resulting blocks of earth or stone. And already inside you can begin to deepen and equip yourself.

How to play Minecraft 1.5.2, 1.6.2? So that the monsters do not annoy us indoors, you need to make a certain number of torches. They are made from stick and coal. It can be used as coal, and woody. Stone is mined with a pickaxe, its deposit is not difficult to find. Charcoal crafted from beaten wood.

Which one to choose from is up to you. After mining coal, you can start creating torches. To do this, we place our sticks and coal in the workbench in such a way as shown in the picture below.

The resulting torches will burn forever. And they are installed on any solid block.
Finally, I note - all this must be done in ten minutes. That's how long a day is.

What could be nicer than taking a dip in minecraft world with your friends in joint game. After all, you have a huge freedom of action, you can come up with hundreds of entertainment, from the usual construction of buildings to PVP battles. The best solution for this is servers, in this article you will learn all the details of connecting to them.

At the beginning, you need to choose a project on which you will play, hundreds of servers are placed in our monitoring, each of them differs in its structure, the number of mini-games and other goodies. You can start with the top projects placed at the very beginning of the list, study the description and the entertainment they offer. Perhaps even at the beginning something will interest you.

Let's say the server is selected, you know its IP address and the version of the game itself with which it works, but you need to download Minecraft to start the journey. Here a program called TLauncher will come to the rescue, follow the link and download it, run it.

It can be used to download any game client, including the modified one, it has a bunch of other cool goodies, which you can read about in a separate article. Now we are interested in entering the server, enter your game nickname in a special field (where we have "TMonitoring" in the screenshot), and also select the version that corresponds to the server version, for example, 1.12.2. We click on the big yellow button and the download has begun, after a short installation the game will be launched.

After starting, go to the menu item Multiplayer (Network game), and there we already click on Add server (Add server), here you can already enter any name for the server and insert the IP address.

The server will appear in your list, after that you can always connect to it later without remembering the IP, click on it several times and the connection starts. On the server itself, at the beginning you will need to register, enter the /register PASSWORD PASSWORD command, and at the next logins, enter /login PASSWORD.

Now you know how to play minecraft online and the whole server login process, play and enjoy the process! You can always add IP addresses to the list in the same way and log in. But there is more faster way login, for this we launch the already familiar TLauncher and, without turning it off, look for the desired Minecraft server in our monitoring. When found, click on the TLauncher button and select any available version, click on "Login to the server". The program will launch Minecraft itself and enter the server, this will save a lot of time on adding a project, so we recommend using it!

Minecraft is a sandbox game where you can fight monsters, create tools and objects in an endless world of possibilities and fantasy. The game was so successful that it made a real revolution in indie games.

Creating your own world

1.1 Selecting the game mode and setting the difficulty level

When you launch the game for the first time, you will need to select a game mode:

Naturally, in a single player game you will play alone, while in a multiplayer game you will have the opportunity to play with other players. By the way, if you play the trial (free) version of the game, the multiplayer will be unavailable. Let's see what's what and with what it is eaten.

  • The difficulty setting affects the generation of monsters in the game - at night and underground. This setting is specific to each individual world - so you can have several single maps with different difficulty settings, from "peaceful" to "difficult". The peaceful difficulty level implies the absence of hostile mobs, while already the "easy" difficulty level indicates their small number. Set the maximum difficulty level - mobs will walk in droves. The level of damage inflicted by hostile mobs also depends on the difficulty level - on maximum level difficulty, zombies will be able to break down wooden doors and inflict maximum damage when attacked.
  • In network mode, you do not need to create own world, since you can simply join an existing server. In our case - to ours;) To find others game servers, you can use the sites or search in Google/Yandex. However, if you want to play with your friends in a close circle, it might make sense to make your own server. We will cover this in future articles.

1.2 Selecting the game mode

Game Mode Selection - Survival

You can choose a game mode from the ones described below:

  • Survival- playing in this mode you will be forced to collect resources and fight for survival - get food, take care of the level of hunger, health and even air, being under water. Hostile mobs will try to kill you. Suitable for network game in friends company.
  • Creative- you have unlimited access to resources, you do not need to worry about food or hunger. Not only do you have unlimited access to resources, but you can also fly! Suitable for creativity.
  • hardcore- this mode is similar to the survival mode, however, in the event of your death, your world will be permanently deleted. After dying in Hardcore mode, you will become a "Watcher" and be able to fly around your world as a ghost!
  • Observer— in this mode you will be able to fly through any obstacles (walls, ground, etc.). This mode can only be enabled with the /gamemode 3 command when cheats are enabled.
  • Adventure Mode- In this mode, you can interact with all the objects in the world, but you won't be able to break or build anything. Used for adventure cards. This mode can only be enabled with the /gamemode 2 command when cheats are enabled.

1.3 Setting up the game world

A very useful menu that allows you to control the settings of the world you create. Here you can disable or enable cheats, select a game mode and other useful goodies.

1 - generating / setting up a new world in Minecraft: single player

2 - select the type of world in Minecraft: cheats, generation type, etc.

The important thing is the type of the world or how it is generated - you can specify the type of generation by choosing from the following

  • ordinary world- a classic world with all biomes and creatures, resources and mobs.
  • Superplane- a huge flat world suitable for
  • Apmlified— artsy generation with huge canyons, mountains and flying islands. Completely out of touch with reality.
  • Free— you will be able to specify what your world will consist of, how many layers and how thick your earth will be, what resources and mobs will be generated.
  • Debugging- a special mode in which all types of entities are generated in one world block by block, where you can only watch them. By the way, to see this mode, you have to hold the Shift key and click on the modes, scrolling through them.

2 Survive the first night

Surviving the first game night is the problem that all players face, regardless of the difficulty level (unless you have a peaceful difficulty level, then this is not about you).

2.1 Start gathering resources as soon as you start the game

There is a day-night shift in the game and it is at night that hostile mobs appear (spawn) - so you need to build a shelter as soon as possible.

Surviving the first night - logging for future use

In order to build your first shelter, you need to dig or get some resources, such as wood and coal, cobblestone. Find a suitable tree and hit it with your hand while holding the left mouse button. When it collapses, collect the fallen logs. Twenty logs of wood will be enough to start.

2.2 Creating a workbench

The workbench is needed in order to create (craft) other items in the game. To build a workbench you need to follow these steps:

Making boards from wood

Create (craft) a workbench

  • Open your inventory by pressing the "E" key and place one mined log in the "Crafting" section. This will allow you to get 4 blocks of sawn wood planks.
  • Collect the finished boards to your inventory and place the boards again in the "crafting" section, filling all 4 cells. This will allow you to get a workbench or workbench, in other words. Take it from the "Create" area and place it in any convenient location in the gaming world.

2.3 Craft tools

Once you've crafted a workbench, you can create any item in the game. For some items, the location of the initial ingredients is important, for others it is absolutely unimportant.

First you need to craft a pickaxe, an axe, a shovel and a sword. All this can be done from wood as shown in the pictures below. By the way, you can also make these tools out of stronger materials: cobblestone, metal, or diamonds, but this should be postponed "for later" - you should not spend time on this on the first game day.

Making sticks from sawn boards

Crafting a wooden pick

Craft wooden shovel

Craft wooden hatchet

Don't forget to make torches to light up the hideout - otherwise hostile mobs will spawn right there. If you can't find coal, you can make it from logs and boards in a stone oven (see below for a little life hack).

2.4 Building a shelter

Building a shelter / dugout

It is better to build a shelter on top of a hill or mountain - in this case it will be easier for you to defend yourself from an attack. You can also build a small house or even just dig into a mini cave. The main purpose of such construction is to hide from hostile mobs, and also not to lose the road to your shelter when you go far from it in search of resources.

Simple house in the village

If you don't know what to build, find a village and live in any free house. And you don’t need to build anything, and the shelter is already at hand! One nuisance - the villagers attract crowds of Zombies at night. On the one hand, Zombies will ignore you, on the other hand, you will be crowded (multi-zombie)... ;)

We protect our shelter with a door

Make sure your hideout is well lit. You can also craft wooden door to close your shelter from the outside. To open a wooden door, simply right-click on it. By the way, you can make a door out of iron, but in this case you will need a pressure plate or any other mechanism to open it.

2.5 Sleeping place or wool extraction

First Night Survival Secret - Minecraft Bed Crafting

Yes, yes, to make it easier to survive, you need to get three blocks of wool of any color and craft a bed. To do this, you need to kill a few sheep, or, if there is metal, craft scissors and cut them (from 1 to 3 blocks of wool will fall out from one sheep). To make a bed, place 3 blocks of wool and 3 boards as shown in the picture above.

What is the secret - sleeping in bed allows you to oversleep (“skip”) the night in solitary world and avoid having to defend their shelter at night.

Survived the first night - find your own food

If you survived the first night, the first thing you need to do is get some food. Otherwise, sooner or later, you will die of hunger. The easiest way to get food is to kill animals. If it contradicts your beliefs - eat apples, plant carrots, potatoes and beets and live like a "vegan")

3 Style of play

  • RPG style - once you have built your first shelter and survived the first night, you can move on and develop, improving items, rebuilding your shelter and comprehending all the secrets of the game. Even taking into account the fact that Minecraft - endless game, you can "pass" it by defeating the Ender Dragon in the world called The End;
  • - game in this style is endless by default - you can play and build outstanding buildings, entire cities or even game worlds, create and create endlessly. Minecraft players create entire cities from famous video games or movies, such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, or recreate world-famous buildings - the White House, Notre Dame de Paris, or even the Eiffel Tower;
  • - The game has full-fledged mechanisms and pseudo-electric circuits. Inventor players design various complex mechanisms using "redstone" - elevators, automatic farms, subways, guns and other complex mechanical devices. By the way, there were cases when Mine players invented operating computers inside the game - it remains only to run Mine itself on it);
  • mixed style- someone prefers to play in the sandbox style, but remaining in survival mode. Perhaps in this case it is worth considering the "Creative" mode, but this will deprive the players of the taste of the game, and the buildings created in the "Survival" mode will be more "valuable" and complex.

RPG style

Just complete the game by defeating the Ender Dragon

Our choice! Don't just survive in the game, build beautiful and complex buildings!

Use redstone chains, pistons and logic devices to conquer the world!

4 Weapons and defense

Of course, you will need weapons to protect yourself from hostile monsters in the game and get your own food (subsistence). by the most best weapon in the game are the sword - the main thing is to use materials stronger than wood for the blade of the sword, so the tree breaks quickly. You can also wield an ax, but it is slower.

4.2 Armor

Armor is needed to protect yourself from damage when you fight monsters.

All types of armor can be created, as shown in the pictures below.

In fact, armor can be made from a variety of materials in the game - leather, iron, gold, and diamonds can be suitable materials. By the way, you can buy already enchanted armor from the peasants in the villages or enchant it yourself (more on that later).

4.3 Shield

Shield - relative new element protection in the game Minecraft. It allows you to block arrows and defend against attacks from hostile mobs. To maintain game balance, a delay was introduced into the game when attacking - this eliminates the banal "calling" of enemies and requires the use of a shield before each new strike. Many players do not like the shield, but I strongly recommend crafting it as shown in the picture above.

4.4 Light up the shelter

Monsters cannot spawn in well-lit rooms - to light up the room you will need torches, which can be made from one wooden sticks and one piece of coal. By the way, a coal block can be found in the mountains right on the surface - it looks like a stone with black patches.
