You can take the side of Rocher, and then the death of Loredo will be inevitable. If you decide to take the position of Iorveth, then, having got on the ship to Loredo, you will receive an ultimatum - either you fight Loredo, or save the elves. Accordingly, if you choose the second option, you will not be able to kill Loredo and complete the Mystic River quest. The Witcher 2, the passage of which constantly offers you difficult choices, more than once during the game will make you seriously think about the consequences of your actions.

Chapter 2

Once again it is worth recalling that the game to which the Mystic River quest belongs is The Witcher 2. The passage of the first and third parts do not contain such a quest.
