Design

There are 9 function buttons on the steering wheel, among which there are View and Menu, which are responsible for the Xbox One interface. Thanks to this, it is convenient to use the console's menus without leaving the game. The Manettino proprietary switch is in its rightful place - in real cars it is responsible for driving modes (traction control, stabilization, etc.), and on the game steering wheel it is a two-position switch to which you can assign something useful. A dedicated Xbox Guide button brings up the console's main menu, similar to the Xbox One controllers, for quick access to the main menu and key console functions.
The gears are shifted by paddle shifters, which rotate with the "steering wheel", remaining always at hand. They are made of metal, so the design is comfortable and reliable. Most games allow you to use a sequential gearbox to manually shift the paddles and gain precious fractions of a second by shifting to the right gear in time.
The pedal block is quite simple: it has 2 pedals - brake and gas, the lining on which can be adjusted to tilt or turn over, making the position slightly higher or lower. But horizontal adjustment is not provided, although this is true for the brake pedal. This block is made of strong plastic, the pedals go without too much play. Curiously, the force on the brake pedal is progressive - it increases as you press, like pressure in the brake system. This little thing makes the feeling more believable. By the way, more advanced Thrustmaster pedal sets with clutch and multiple adjustments, made of metal, also fit the Ferrari 458 Spider Racing. So this detail can be "upgraded" if desired.
The steering wheel is attached to the table with a clamp familiar to Thrustmaster. To do this, you will not need any tricks: everything is extremely simple, convenient, and most importantly, any surface is suitable. The latch is tightened by hand, the entire installation or removal procedure takes 1 minute. The main thing is that the table does not go along with the virtual machine when you are actively driving!

If you like entertaining arcade races, then this solution is more than adequate, because most often the feedback there works on the same principle. If you're looking for a vivid and detailed sim experience, including a true "feel for the road", then look to the higher models with force feedback.
The total steering angle is 240 degrees. That is, the steering wheel turns a little more than a quarter of a turn in each direction. This solution is again well suited for beginners: taxiing will be more gentle, without difficult interceptions. In addition, many games are initially designed for steering wheels with an angle of rotation in the region of 180 degrees. Unpretentious, but versatile option. Of course, Thrustmaster has models with up to 1080 degrees of rotation, but their cost is 2-3 times higher - this is the lot of true enthusiasts, and our Ferrari 458 Spider is more suitable for recreational rides without the hassle of racks, chairs and other esports equipment.
Steering sensitivity is high by default, so beginners will have to get used to not swinging the steering wheel, but gently steering. Although there is an easier option: the sensitivity of the Ferrari 458 Spider is adjusted in four steps - from maximum (default) to minimum. To do this, hold down the key combination and wait for the LED indication, which will show the selected sensitivity level. Of course, novice virtual racers can reduce the steering sensitivity by 1-2 levels to get used to the new sensations for themselves, and then gradually increase as the results improve. An important detail: the selected sensitivity is saved until the steering wheel is turned off, so it needs to be adjusted when you turn it on again.
