The validity of the passport for obtaining a work permit must be at least 18 months. Every foreigner working in the Dominican Republic must pay a medical tax, undergo an examination by a Dominican doctor and pass special tests. It is required to undergo a study for the presence or absence of:

- drugs in the body;
- infectious diseases.
It is allowed to undergo a medical examination in Russia, but in this case, all the results of the examinations and the conclusions of doctors must be translated into English or Spanish by a legalized translator and duly certified.
Photo Requirements
The Dominican authorities do not put forward special requirements for photography. This should be a standard ID photo, taken against a light background, without a hat or dark glasses. The size of the accepted photo is 4 x 5 cm.
When submitting papers for any of the visas, except for business, the photo must be glued to the application form. Only one photo is glued to the business permit, the second one is submitted like this.

Terms of registration
The standard term for issuing a visa, including consideration of paperwork, is 15 working days. If desired, you can reduce it to 7 working days. Additional fees apply for expedited permits. If a citizen of the Republic of Belarus applies for a visa, then the period for consideration of his application is 1 day.
Validity periods
The validity period of Dominican visas is quite standard:
- For single entry visas - 60 days + the right to extend for another 60 days;
- For multiple, working and student - 360 days.
You must extend or renew your visa in the Dominican Republic before it expires. If the deadline is missed, then you must leave the country. It is forbidden for foreigners to stay in the Dominican Republic without a visa.

Refusal to issue a permit to visit the Dominican Republic is a fairly rare occurrence. The authorities of the country have a very loyal visa policy, but when applying for a work visa, a foreigner may be denied without explanation. Grounds for rejection are usually:
- Incomplete package of papers;
- Violation of the order of registration;
- Submitting false information.

- Application for a visa (filled in on a computer, with a live signature of the tourist);
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the Dominican Republic). Passports issued for more than 10 years, as well as renewed ones, are not accepted.
- 1 (one) color photograph on a white background, 4x5 cm, not older than 6 months;
- Copy of the international passport (all pages with marks);
- Questionnaire completed on a computer(a package of documents where the questionnaire is filled out manually will not be accepted), the places where you need to put a tick can be filled in manually.

- Minors must have their own passport.
- If a minor child (under 18) traveling with one of the parents, must be provided ORIGINAL notarized power of attorney from the second parent.
- If a minor child (under 18) travels unaccompanied by parents, must be provided ORIGINAL notarized powers of attorney from both parents to the accompanying person, or to the host in the Dominican Republic.

When passing through passport control at the airport, you must have the original consent to leave with you. - When incomplete family, must be provided NOTARIZED copies of relevant documents:
- death certificate of the other parent;
- certificate of a single mother;
- form 25 provided at the registry office, if the father is entered on the birth certificate from the words of the mother;
- court order about the unknown whereabouts of the other parent.

- A document allowing legal residence in the Russian Federation - registration, residence permit or work permit + legal translation of these documents into Spanish.
- For residents of the CIS countries (entering Russia without a visa), if there is no consulate of the Dominican Republic in their country and they are going to apply for a visa, these documents do not need to be provided.
- For residents of other countries (entering Russia on a visa), personal presence is required, as well as the presence in the passport of a multiple-entry visa of the Russian Federation valid for at least 1 year (not tourism).
ATTENTION! The entire package of documents, except for the passport, must be in Spanish, translations into English will not be accepted. All translations must be made in a translation agency and certified by the signature and seal of the translator (do not need to be notarized).
