Most of the participants remember the recent annual largest exhibition-show in the world E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) for the small number of games appearing on the new generation of consoles, restarts of one-year games, an unmeasured number of sports games and imperfections from EA. At this exhibition, Sony stood out with two heaped announcements - Magicka 2 and the re-release of the sensational famous Grim Fandango from the unsurpassed Tim Schafer. Let's try to remember what Magicka was for co-op fans - the best of the games, or one continuous endless bug?
The game is based on the use of different properties of natural elements: water, fire, earth, cold, fire and electricity. Such a set seemed too small for the manufacturer, and the community of players is only happy about that. Therefore, an additional protective shield, rays of life and rays of damage have been added to the game. The idea of the toy is to use combinations of available elements up to five pieces long in one spell. Having at his disposal a unique blow to the enemy or a unique option for protecting his comrades-in-arms. In addition, it is possible to use this spell in several ways - call this vinaigrette on your head, shoot a beam, a large boulder, or puff with a spray. You can still load this weapon, but we'll talk about that later. There is a special type of spell available - when we find books during the game, we get a combination of a spell with a certain special effect - thunderstorm, rain, time dilation and a host of other options. Such spells also work when applied to the outside world - rivers can freeze, electrical appliances are shocked, and fire can be put out.
Each magician in the game is certainly supplied with a staff and some kind of weapon, becoming like one of the characters in the book "The Lord of the Rings" (who could it be?!). Weapons are absolutely diverse and from different eras - from the Middle Ages to the present day. Staves are also different to each other. They are divided into active - charged with spells like lightning or an impressive pebble, and passive - add various stats or auras to the character.
This marvelous compote of combinations of enchantments, special abilities, staves and weapons is set in a satirical fantasy world that is under threat. The plot of the game makes fun of gaming and other industries. For example, in the game there is a vampire Vlad who is tirelessly trying to prove that he is not a vampire even once. There are also clichéd kings, enchanted with various spells, golems, knights, rural peasants who call you "The Chosen One". The world of the game, as if created based on the incredibly fun work "Flat World" by Terry Pratchett.
The question is asked in the task - is it possible to spoil this wonderful concept with such immense possibilities? The answer is yes, like two fingers on the asphalt! Blame, of course, the imbalance. A huge number of spell combinations cannot be balanced. And once you open the imba beam (we won’t say from what elements) you will start using two or three tricks throughout the game. Because you can't go against human nature. The developers did not flash with originality of thought and did not invent a bicycle to force players to change techniques, trying to adapt to the changing world. Perhaps the only place where you can be surprised is a swamp with carrion. Undead are only healed from what should be killing. The developers laughed at the buggy start by adding a crash spell to the desktop.
Diversity issues, mostly related to the myriad of spell combinations, are exacerbated by the unimaginable variety of costumes. Here we have a soldier from Vietnam in a helmet and with an M-16 in his hands, another soldier comes from a space marine, there is a blues man, there is a character from the movie "Tron" who improves his health with electric shocks and many others. Several campaigns have been added, such as the Vietnam mission, mysterious castles.
Co-op in a game with multiple modes also deserves to be mentioned a couple of words. Completing tasks in campaigns, additional subcompanies and standard survival mode will sparkle with new bright colors. You need to look for such a cooperative!
What can be said? Magicka is a great concept, albeit a little spoiled by the developers' little experience in balance. Plays pretty well. And the cooperative at all though where! A fun, non-standard and interesting toy that can captivate for many hours and bring a lot of pleasure. Enthusiasts and math lovers have calculated that in total, theoretically, you can create 470596 non-repeating spell combinations!

is a top-down arcade action game where you play as a wizard who can cast a staggering number of different spells by combining several basic elements. Take fire and earth, throw them like a projectile and you'll get fire ball. Take ice and arcane magic and you will get beams that freeze everything around. Take fire and mistakenly throw them at your comrades - yes, this is very fun game with excellent cooperation.
Such mistakes during the game will be, moreover, they are expected and required. After the first part of the game, fans were asking for more mana and even more fun. Therefore, friendly fire in the game is always on, at the same time, the number of enemies becomes more and more powerful. For this reason, improvising the right spells for a particular situation becomes one of the main tasks in the game. And you will have to think hard, because each spell can include five of the eight elements, and even overlap each other in different combinations.
Herself plot story starts from the end of the first part. Destroyed Midgard is no longer a haven for good and bright. Dark evil captures more and more territories and gives birth to evil magicians, who are also armed with dark spells and an army of all kinds of monsters. And in order to return peace to Midgard, you and your three friends will have to re-learn spells and destroy evil.
cooperative in the first part of the game has collected a large number of positive reviews. He was hilarious, with a lot of Scandinavian humor and was a real recipe fun adventures. In the new part, the cooperative remained at the same high level, with new system hot connection to the game session, checkpoints, with leaderboards and graphics that will rest your eyes.

In this tutorial you will find steps to make x360ce work with Magicka 2 . This method also works with any game – just do the same easy steps, no special skills needed to make any controller work as an Xbox 360 gamepad. Emulator allows your controller (joystick, wheel, gamepad, etc.) to operate as the most common device, recognized by most of the game s without any additional settings and workarounds.
1. The first step is to download x360ce zip file from official site. You have to select 32 or 64 bit version (same as the version of Magicka 2 you use). If you don't know the version of your game or download wrong one accidentally, you will be notified later and have a chance to use another version.
2. Now we have to find the installation folder of your game. You can easily do this by looking into game shortcut settings or finding the game in your Steam library list. If you choose the Steam variant, right click the game name and select "Properties".
3. Navigate to local files tab and press “Browse local files...” button.
4. Now you need to find the folder with Magicka 2 executable. In the example picture they are located in Binaries / Retail subfolder. You need to extract downloaded x360ce ZIP file to folder with your game executable file.
5. Click on x360ce exe file with the right mouse button and select “Run as administrator” from dropdown menu.
6. You will see window with warning - “xinput 1_3.dll was not found. This file is required for emulator to function properly.” Don't worry, just click "Create" button to make them appear.
7. When x360ce will inform you that new device was detected, use automatic search for settings from internet– just hit “Next” button.
8.Click “Finish”, when installation completed.
9. Hit the "Auto" button to make all settings set to defaults. Confirm changes by clicking “Yes” in popup window. All the buttons will be filled automatically.
10. Now just hit Save button to make all your settings saved. You can also change buttons assignment before hitting “Save”, if you like.
Now you can normally launch Magicka 2 and use your controller with x360ce emulator– it will be starting automatically with each game launch.
